Death of Dr. Malini Dias – President of the Royal Asiatic Society of Sri LankaDr. Malini Dias It is with deep sadness that the Royal Asiatic Society of Sri Lanka (RASSL) announces the death of its current President Dr. Malini Dias, who passed away on August 31. She was 81 years old. Anura Kumara vows to strengthen public transport service under NPP govt

Colombo’s consumer price inflation drops to 0.5% in August
The overall rate of inflation as measured by the Colombo Consumers Price Index (CCPI) on a Y-on-Y basis has decreased to 0.5% in August 2024 compared to the 2.4% calculated for the month of July 2024, according to the latest data released by Sri Lanka’s Department of Census and Statistics. Suspected gunman in ‘Club Wasantha’ murder arrested in Dehiwala

‘River for Jaffna’ project to fully address water problem in north – President

The main suspect in the killing of ‘Club Wasantha’ at Athurugiriya, Sujeewa Ruwankumara alias ‘Loku Patty’ has been arrested in Belarus, according to police sources.
