A Spinoff To The Bush-Wickremasinghe Meeting In Washington Where A Few Realities Need To Be Exposed!

Periscope-Global Sinhala Village For LankaWeb

It has been reported by the international media that Sri Lanka's Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe on an official visit to the White House received a pledge of support Wednesday from President Bush and is reported to have dismissed the crisis threatening his Government as typical of the "ups and downs" of Sri Lankan politics. But it also has to be recorded that The American President George Bush much like the Sri Lankan Prime Minister seem to be encompassed by a quagmire of political upheaval relative to indecisive policies where both individuals appear to be clutching at straws towards their political survival if certain foreign media reports are to be used as examples together with their popularity ratings towards the credibility of this conclusion. The ups and downs of both American and Sri Lankan politics seem to be following a rather curiously common order of deception and mind games where the Sri Lankan Prime Minister's exhortations that he has the people's mandate in Sri Lanka to sign away Sovereignity and Territorial Integrity seems ludicrously similar to the American President's presumptions towards justifying a war which was waged on an assumed existence of weapons of mass destruction yet to be proven in Iraq which has propagated mass misery and has ravaged civilian life at the expense of wasted young lives of American soldiers conscripted to fight a needless war when the United Nations were screaming out cautions which went unheeded and also circumvented in an attempt to create a justification for ill conceived righteousness and the world has seen the outcome as it unfolds on an ongoing basis that there can be no predilections by the American People towards his policies which are gradually projecting his unpopularity despite the horrors of September the 11th 2002 where even the main perpetrator of the huge crimes against humanity Osama Bin Laden of Al Quaeda is still at large much in the same token as Velupillai Pirapaharan relative to his crimes against humanity in perspective of a greater intensity considering the tumultuous loss of lives in a relative sense in Sri Lanka over decades, towards whom the Sinhala Nation has no predilections either much in similar vein and remains at large and in hiding in the jungles of Sri Lanka!!

As an aftermath of meeting with President Bush at the White House, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe seems assured ans self confident as he has conveyed to the U.S. President and the media in being quoted that "That most members of Sri Lanka's Parliament support his pursuit of peace with Tamil Tiger rebels, and he intends to see the process through", end quote, where he seems to have failed to advise the American President despite his self confidence that his pursuit of peace in Sri Lanka is being challenged by the Executive President as a betrayal of Sovereignity to a terrorist entity well known to the USA and that it is a Sine Qua Non as far as the opinions of the Sinhala Nation is concerned and that the President who has taken preventive measures to ward off this betrayal has proved to be the single most representative affirmation that Sri Lanka is a Nation of people unprepared to compromise what is democratically and inherantly theirs which seems unimportant in the rationale of Wickremasinghe in his attempt to shrug off by way of dialogue the seriousness of concessions to the Tamil Tigers being contested by the President!

Wickremasinghe has raucuously exclaimed to the foreign media in near desperation that "When I go back I will sort it out! I have a mandate to bring peace to the country" but the mandate he seems to be refering to despite the importance of bringing peace to Sri Lanka seems somewhat confused by way of interpretation. When the mandate was granted initially after the last General Election, it said nothing about betraying the Nation to a group of banned and outlawed terrorists and a point which US President George Bush should take note of, being the Chief Executive Officer Of The Most Powerful Nation and its war against global terrorism and totally committed towards eradicating Global Terrorism and the only logical support the American President has pledged in the dialogue between him and the Sri Lankan Prime Minister should conform to the democratic institutions in place relative to Sri Lanka's Sovereignity and Territorial Intregrity the very same institutions the President of Sri Lanka has so vehemntly decided to protect!!
