LTTE rebel leader Prabhakaran says "people must make sacrifices for freedom" And The World Council Of Sinhala Peers Responds.

Confirming many predictions about the direction of the leader in hiding of Sri Lanka's LTTE rebels, Velupillai Prabhakaran who has emerged to say that "freedom, independence and sovereignty cannot be received on a platter and people must work dedicatedly amidst hardships to achieve them." if it is to be interpreted that the freedom, independence and sovereignity refered to is relative to LTTE objectives (and there can be none other) his reference, direction and its inference becomes blatantly obvious. The statement has been made in a recent clandestine LTTE rebel radio propaganda broadcast which is an affirmation of the reality that the LTTE are still in pursuit of Eelam regardless of their rhetoric towards peace.

Prabhakaran, also known as Pirapaharan, leader of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) seems to have emboldened himself to come out of hiding and make a rare public appearance to declare open what the LTTE terms a 'rebel police headquarters' in the LTTE held Kilinochchi district in the Northern Province which is not only an affront to the incumbent UNF Administration but also an insult to the Sinhala Nation that its Government tolerates such actions where a condemned and outlawed terrorist has the nerve to make a public apperance and declare open a 'rebel police station' on Sovereign territory assumed as 'rebel held ' only because the Administration tolerates such incursions into the Justice System where a group of insurgents are permitted to circumvent the Legal Statutes of the Land within its Constitution on the pretxt that any confrontation with the LTTE would harm the Peace Process which seems to be a slogan the UNF Administration seems to have turned to recently!

The LTTE leader more often than not, irrational and puerile in his reckoning has also propounded a theory which only befits the likes of his terrorist ilk that, " any ethnic group who reaches greater heights over a period of time automatically sees greatness conferred on the group and a meaningless idealogy relative to his own definition of greatness and whatever the greater heights refered to are, as the LTTE have neither reached any great heights within any acceptable norms other that that of being an abomination and a destructive murderous force and the greatness refered to probably analogous towards being a legend in his own mind!

Is the world to assume then that broad based on Prabhakaran's philosophy the Queen of England and the Commonwealth is more than likely to bestow a stamp of greatness on the group he champions, as all of these so called aspirations towards his envisioned greatness is taking place within the Commonwealth of Nations which Sri Lanka belongs to? Would a 'Sir Velupillai Pirapaharan' ( Prabhakaran) then emerge as a knight in shining armour leading his tigers of the circumscribed Wanni or would he much rather be bestowed the title of an asinine orator of meaningless rhetoric if reality prevails aligned to the nature of Sri Lanka's Democratic rights which he seems to be rather blatantly ignoring or totally unaware of !! and seems to be a point for the Wickremasinghe Administration to ponder upon in the face of all the meaningless concessions extended to the LTTE which has projected the boldness of the likes of Prabhakaran!!!

That the man has a date with destiny in the shape of the long arm of the law and its eventuality a reality through co-operation between those in authority within Sri Lanka and the International and Indian Law Enforcement Agencies in the better interests of the Nation and its immediate neighbour India seems academic as the high theatrics of Prabhakaran and the LTTE continue as neither Sri Lanka nor India and perhaps even the world at large have ever forgotten what transpired through decades of murder, mayhem and devastation perpetrated by the LTTE and this outlawed leader now philosophizing about the attributes of greatness sounds more of an optimist weighing his chances of survival where in reality he needs to be brought to justice like any other criminal!
