Re letter from victor Guneseakara

Jan goonetilleke

The letter from gunaseakera highlights a very frank opinion that all srilankans nead to address. Its very unfortunate that the ethos of the sri lankan society both political/social and economic has been dictated to by the leadership from colombo.

These people are products of schools that were originaly started by the british colonialist with the purpose of finding a set of people very subserviant to them who would help to exploit the general masses.

These production lines contnue to produce these black englishmen who have no love for there country who are alien to its culture and continue to play the subsevient role more so when they are children of converts.

Unfortunately the leaders who come from the lower classes automaticaly gets carried away by this ethos. The change therefore neads to come from the educational system .

I find it disturbing that the leadership of the country at the moment cares more to what the international community says whether it be governments or NGOs.The citizens of the country are ignored and the sovereignity of the country is greatly undermined.

They find it difficult to forge alliances foregoing self in the best intrest of the countryprevent corruption undermining the financial status of the country etc.

In short the country is led by black englishmen who are products of Royal, St Thomas's,St Bridgets etc They have proven beyond doubt to be unfit to rule.

To me this is the core issue that we all nead to address .A change in the ethos of these schools in the long term with emphasis of srilankanness and a change of leadership on the short term to instigate the change

.I hope this letter will instigate others to participate in a critical analysis of the grave problem that sri lanka faces.
