DENYING THEIR OWN LIABILITIES AND WHIMPERING

PERISCOPE - GLOBAL SINHALA VILLAGE FOR LANKAWEB

While the transparencies about which side is resorting to grave provocations in the troubled climate of Sri Lanka, the LTTE have accused the Army of infiltrating their areas and killing a senior rebel on Tuesday in what they said was the most serious attack since a 2002 truce, and warned time was running out to avert war. They seem to have somehow bypassed the realities of their transparencies in the manner an ostrich buries its head in the sand and hope their own attrocities go unnoticed. Furthermore there is no such things as 'Their Territory" as the only territory terrorists of their ilk can consider their's is the space of a jail cell as the existence of Guantanamo Bay in Cuba reserved for the captured Al Quaeda and 9/11 terrorists attests to!

The LTTE despite their rhetoric in attempts to shrug off responsibilities for their recent attrocities and their blatant denials when all the attributes of direct involvement points to them have recently activated a string of claymore fragmentation mine attacks and ambushes on Security Forces that have killed vast numbers indiscriminately and rashly violated the ceasefire agreement and Peace Process almost to the brink of collapse.Their denials of responsibility seem orchestrated for effect and their accusations that the Army used a similar method to attack them puerile which even the most gullible would find hard to accept.

The preposterous and speculative nature of the accusations laced with innuendo are more than empasized when S.P.Thamilchelvam's bleating are evaluated towards credibility that "They came through the jungle and laid a claymore," as he has told Reuters through a translator. "We lost one of our senior cadres - a major - and a civilian. It is a very serious matter for us to consider." which sounds more like a fairy tale created in the mindset of a confused individual who is probably better aware of the reality that such an act of barbarity (if it gives them any consolation that the definition is used ) could only have been perpetrated by someone or persons with the same wherewithal they possess regarding such a contraption as a claymore mine and where to lay it in anticipation of their movements.

It seems irrelevant while also being to a degree audaciously inciting that Reuters have asked the LTTE , who have fought for two decades for self-rule for the island's Tamil minority( a mere fragmented percentage of the overall population which is predominantly Sinhalese) if they might retaliate. Typically flagrant of the Reuters Agency throwing diplomacy and caution to the winds the question nevertheless has been asked ! The response by the ignominious Thamilchelvam has been tentative and unsure sounding that "Our leadership must decide on things like that. as though there might be a need to go looking for the leadership which appears to have all but disappeared! "There had been a rise in attacks on the Tigers in the last few weeks, he said completely avoiding reference to the provocative attacks his terror group the LTTE have perpetrated on the Sri Lankan Armed Forces, Politicians and other areas of prominence which have exposed the flagrant criminalities of the LTTE organization.

The Armed Forces which blamed the LTTE both for attacks on their troops and for inciting riots in the northern army-held Jaffna peninsula -- denied any involvement very justifiably according to latest report which indicate that No Military Personnel Were In The Area."This was in an uncleared area. We don't operate there," said military spokesman Brig. Prasad Samarasinghe. "No Army, Navy or Security Forces personnel have gone to uncleared areas."

This does not however preclude the rights of the Sri Lankan Armed Forces to defend Sovereign Territory and eliminate terrorist opponents. Something which seems to be undisputable and inalienable given the credible facts while placing the terrorist status of the LTTE in perspective. The rights of the Armed Forces to preserve the territorial integrity of a Sovereign Nation are without reservations and unquestionable. The LTTE appear to be on a collision course with disaster with the odds against them augmenting to a degree where there appear to be many angered parties who seem to have decided to retaliate through affirmative action what the LTTE have imposed on the people of Sri Lanka and her law enforcement agencies by way of their own calculated attrocities for decades.

In the meantime the presumptuous sermons of the likes of Thamilchelvam continue to the media on behalf of the LTTE while alluding to their rights and justifications to inflict attrocities and violent attacks on the people of Sri Lanka with impunity in the pretence that they represent the Tamil community in its entirety where these attacks are also inflicted on their own community. It also includes a threat of the return to another phase of hostilities by virtue of rhetoric at least and perhaps towards their inrvitable end as a terror group!

The reprisals on LTTE personnel in the face of all their indiscretions therefore seems a clear cut case of Poetic Justice perhaps !

What they seem to be recieving by way of attacks on their cadre in a curious manner seem justifiable in a general perspective, a tit for tat as the saying goes! and something they have only themselves to blame for and none other. It is more than likely that these clandstine operations against them, now that they have commenced will continue for as long as the LTTE continue their evils with impunity and voice their bravado about overwhelming the Sri Lankan Armed Forces which they seem to be as confident about as winning the Lottery!

Perhaps a time for the LTTE to come clean, lay down arms, give up objectives towards secession and join mainstream society as other terror groups have done around the Globe as the next global rap they will be faced with and an alarming one at that with dire consequences would be their role in pioneering the concept of suicide attacks for which a date with The International Tribunal probably awaits them!

Denying their own liabilities and whimpering when given a taste of their own medicine while calling themselves Liberation Tigers?
