Former seven LTTE cadres-given employment in Malaysia

A young group of former LTTE cadres surrender to Government who underwent rehabilitation was given employment in Malaysia. This opportunity was jointly organized by Ministry of Justice and Law reforms and Foreign Employment Bureau.
Picture here are seven of the ex-L T T E youth obtaining the blessings of the clergy after they were given their passports and relevant documents in Sammankodu Sri Manikka Vinayakar Kovil at Bambalapitiya. It is good news that former LTTEs are getting rehabilitated. We must help them get back to normal life. But I do not know how the Government can monitor their progress, if they are posted overseas. Also, they may be approached by LTTE hardcore, who are still at large internationally and the ‘diaspora’.
I think the Government needs to be a little more cautious.
