ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sir:
Your reportingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ that the new Head of the Canadian Security and Intelligence Service (CSIS), Richard B. Fadden
has called a spade a spade and had the courage toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ state after a reality check that Canada has a “loose
partnership of a single issue NGOs, advocacy journalists and lawyers..has succeeded, to a certain extent,
in forging a positive public image for anyone accused of terrorist links or charges.” Bravo!, I say.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ I would add that
domestic politics where political parties are claw for new immigrant votesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ from supporters ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ terrorists groups back in their
home countries as another factor.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
This is the very reason why we have 8,000 hardcore, Tamil Tigers walking the streets in the Greater Toronto
Area according to RCMP reports. The litmus test for his comment IƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ am sure was partly based on the separatist Tamil
Tiger demonstrations in Ottawa and Toronto in April and May this year, and the 76 illegal Tamil migrants who arrived in
the west coast on board a ship owned by the Tamil Tigers.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
With Richard B. Fadden at the helm of CSIS, the Canadians can have some comfort that Canada will keep away foreign
trained hardcore terrorists entering the country in the future.
