PRESIDENT HOLDS A PARTY FOR TWIN CHILDREN FOR HIS BIRTHDAY

President Mahinda Rajapaksa celebrated his 64th birthday by distributing gifts to 64 twins at a Buddhist temple in Narahenpita Colombo.

Clad in a cream coloured national costume the President came to the temple ceremony where the twins have been brought.
Among the twins brought to meet the Presidents were also triplets. The President fed them with cakes.
Not only the 64th birthday of the President but also the fourth anniversary of his becoming the President fell on November 18 2009.
At the temple ceremony where health Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva wished the President many happy returns of the day and a successful political career an ENT clinic was also held.Nurses Union head Venerable Muruththettuwe Ananda also participated in the ceremony.
Earlier Tamil politicians who represent up country and Northern Provinces greeted the President by visiting the Temple Trees.
