It is obvious that Sarath PawnsekaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s pathetically negative election campaign, if you can call that a campaign, based on non-credible charges of corruption against President Rajapakse and un-funded promises of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”milk and honeyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ for everyone has backfired. The foreign conspirators and local morons who are sponsoring his candidature have failed miserably to correctly gauge the sentiments of the Sri Lankan electorate. The ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”campaignƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ is dead for all practical purposes; Pawnseka appearing on the same stage with Somawansa Amerasinghe has seen to that!

Now it appears that his sponsors Robert Blake, the British High Commissioner Peter Hayes and the EU agents in Colombo are beginning to crank up their campaign of dirty tricks, based on ridiculous allegations of Human Rights violations and war crimes, in a desperate attempt to revive the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”campaignƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢.

Over the last week, we saw the British Government ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”relaxingƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ the travel restrictions on British visitors to the Eastern Province and to Jaffna. To miss the significance of this move, and its timing, would be a great mistake in terms of forecasting the post-election plans of the conspirators; more about that later.

The most astonishing display of the intention to intervene in the Sri Lankan presidential election however, came from that hopelessly incompetent UN parasite, Phillip Alston. In true ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”kangaroo courtƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ fashion, he went on the media with ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”key findingsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ of three ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”expertsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, on his favourite video. AlstonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s continuing attempts to meddle with Sri Lanka, exploiting the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”fake videoƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ is the influence of the standards of justice of the legal system he hails from: the Australian ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”kangaroo courtƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢.

There are several ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”extraordinaryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ aspects to AlstonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s scandalous ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”independent expert analysisƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. It is second only to the US claim back in May 2009 that they possessed ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”satellite evidenceƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ to prove that the Sri Lankan army had committed war crimes! Here we have a man being paid ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”bigƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ dollars from the UN purse hiring three American Ashkenazi Jews (they are the only experts in the world of course!) possibly on hefty fees, to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”rebutƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ the explanation of a fakery given in good faith by a member country with an impeccable record at the UN.

More importantly, Alston has gone on to commission ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”expert opinionsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ despite his being ordered by the UN Human Rights Council back in September 2008, following his original remarks, to withdraw his call for an investigation and apologise to the Sri Lankan Government.

The three member ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”expertƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ panel Alston has assembled to prove authenticity of the tape, as well as their respective conclusions sound funnier than an old episode of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Vinoda SamayaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, except for the sinister objectives behind this conspiracy. The three ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”expertsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ gathered by Alston are all American Ashkenazi of course, showing Robert BlakeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s grubby hand behind this plot; BlakeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s hand is soƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦oo up in AlstonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s alimentary canal that BlakeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s fingers can be seen coming out of AlstonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s mouth!

The first ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”expertƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, Peter Diaczuk, claimed to be an expert in firearms evidence, has concluded that the movement of the weapon and the shooter, and the gases expelled from the muzzle in both apparent shootings were consistent with firing live ammunition, and not with shooting blank cartridges. This is a bit like the opinion of that other ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”expertƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, Catherine Philps of the London Times, who after seeing some graves in Mullaitivu from a helicopter, concluded that they were the graves of people massacred by the army!

AlstonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s attempt to use DiaczukƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s opinion is even more ridiculous because, the ammunition may be live, but the footage could well have come from Iraq or Afghanistan where this kind of murder by the US army is a daily occurrence. How can a video be ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”evidence for war crimes by the Sri Lankan armyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ if the ammunition appears live?

The other ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”expertƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ Dr Daniel Spitz, described as a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”prominentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ forensic pathologist, has found the footage ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”appearedƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ authentic, because the body reaction and movement was entirely consistent with what would be expected in such shootings! Dr Spitz must be kidding himself!! The job of a forensic pathologist is to examine possible causes of death, through the analysis of a victimƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s blood, tissues and wounds etc. Analysing ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”body movementƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ of actors is definitely not what he should be basing his conclusions on and he should keep his opinion to himself, thanking Alston for the money!

Then we have Jeff Spivack, another ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”expertƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, apparently in forensic video analysis; he has found no evidence of breaks in continuity in the video, no additional video layers, and no evidence of image manipulation. Well, this only suggests that the fake video has been put together by people who know the business well (it is not brain surgery after all!); there is a large number of IT people amongst the Tiger Diaspora who were perfectly capable of putting together a video of this nature, especially with support from Western intelligence agencies.

AlstonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s attempt to explain the discrepancies takes the cake! He has admitted that there were a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”number of characteristicsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ of the video the experts were unable to explain. However, he went on to claim that the inconsistencies ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”could be explainedƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ in a manner entirely consistent with the conclusion that the videotape appears to be authentic! You idiot, Alston! DonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t even think of going before the ICC with incomprehensible crap like this.

He admitted that the date encoded in the video, 17 July 2009 presented a puzzle (the war ended in mid-May!), but tried to explain the forgersƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ blunder by saying that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-such phones allowed the date to be set by the user and there was no reason that it would necessarily be correct! Alston also lent on those ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”other investigationsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ by British journalists (experts such as Jeremy Page and Catherine Philps?), and another commissioned by Tamils living abroad, who could not obtain the access they needed to conduct a conclusive ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”probeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢!

What is startling about this whole episode, apart from AlstonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s apparent obsession with First Class air travel and five star hotel accommodation, is ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”bad justiceƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ he is attempting to mete out to Sri Lanka.

To understand AlstonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s unreasonable, grossly unjust and uncivilised behaviour, one needs to have a look at the system where he ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”cut his teethƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ on. For the benefit of those who may not be aware, Philip Alston comes from Australia: the country of Aboriginal genocide(s), White Australia policy until 1971, and currently, racist assaults and murder of Indian students. Australian Indigenous people experience AlstonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s brand of justice on a daily basis. Alston is in fact a professor of law down there.

An Australian case that illustrates the nature of justice people like Alston believe in administering involves the death in police custody, in 2004, of an Indigenous man (some one who resembles a Sri Lankan), named Mulrunji Doomadgee on Palm Island, near Townsville in northern Australia.

Doomadgee was arrested by a Queensland policeman, a senior sergeant named Chris Hurley, for ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”disorderly conductƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ (a common pretext for arresting drunken Indigenous people) and was taken to a police cell. Within an hour, Doomadgee was dead of injuries later likened to those usually associated with a high-speed car crash! The coroner found Mulrunji had four broken ribs and his liver was ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”almost cleaved in twoƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. The death of Mulrunji Doomadgee led to the famous 2004 Palm Island riots.

In 2006, Queensland Deputy State Coroner Christine Clements found Senior Sergeant Chris Hurley was responsible for the death in custody of Mulrunji after he was arrested. In 2007, Hurley was charged of manslaughter and assault over the death. Hurley admitted in trial that he caused MulrunjiƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s death, but was acquitted by an all white jury!

To add insult to injury (and murder), a District Court Judge in Townsville set aside the findings of the original coroner Ms Clements on how Mulrunji died, and ordered the inquest to be reopened. The inquest however, was stopped after an application by the Queensland Police Union.

Palm Island residents who rose up in grief over MulrunjiƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s death however, were jailed – the most celebrated being a man named Lex Wotton who was convicted for ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”riotous destructionƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢.

The Indigenous people, who have been unfairly subject to foreign laws and a legal system since 1868, continued their hopeless legal battle. They went before the highest court, the Court of Appeal; the Court of Appeal confirmed the judgeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s decision that Hurley did not kill Doomadgee, while finding that the judgeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s reasoning was ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”flawedƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢!

The above case represents an example of the worst type of Human Rights abuse that is going on in AlstonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s home country. Indigenous Australians account for 25 per cent of prisoners in Australia while they only account for 0.25 per cent of the population. The situation is worst in the Northern Territory, where 83 per cent of the prison population is Indigenous. For comparison, in the first half of 2008, there were 8411 Indigenous people enrolled in tertiary education. At the same time, there were 6605 in prison.

This is the social and legal system through which Philip Alston has emerged to become the UN Special Rapporteur on ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executionsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ around the globe. The problem is that the man is not capable of understanding what Human Rights mean to the majority of the worldƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s population and he certainly has no idea what natural justice means.

Alston should be sent home to witness the on-going annihilation of the Indigenous population and civilisation in Australia, coupled with moves to rob them of their remaining land in the North and Central Australia. He should evaluate the case and pass judgement as essential training for his job.

In the meantime, Sri Lanka and the rest of the world who are being harassed through this ridiculous hegemony should expose the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”naked emperorsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ who are using concepts such as Human Rights and trumped up war crimes charges as tools of neocolonialism.

Then we notice that the British have decided to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”relaxƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ their travel restrictions, decidedly to the Tamil areas of Sri Lanka. Funny that! The reason for this ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”relaxationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ is to justify the influx of the Tiger remnants to these regions. As always, they aim to kill many birds with one stone!

These Tiger thugs who are obliged to pay back their dues (for being granted residence in the UK), can now be used for purposes including coercing the innocent Tamils to vote for ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”their manƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, send up-to-date information through satellite phone, twitter and other means, and most importantly, concoct stories of vote rigging, complete with video footage!

They will probably travel on different passports, under different names so that the system in Sri Lanka cold never trace as to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”who is whoƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. The BBC will be coordinating the plot from within the British embassy.

This is the model they tried in Iran (and failed) following the presidential election there in June 2009.
