FOUL MOUTHED SARATH FONSEKA

I watched the press conference by Presidential Candidate Sarath Fonseka (SF) in Utube and was appalled to hear the abusing language he used against Upul Ilangamage who courageously exposed SFƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s involvement with his son-in law Danun ThilakaratneƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Oklohoma based company Hicorp. He called Upul Kalawedda, paahara miniha, Ooh, Mey Yaka etc. These are the very words of so unbecoming that came out from SFƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s foul mouth. He exposed his anger and fury on his face when he uttered these abusive words. This is the type of person the so called COLOMBIANS wants as Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s next president. Former Army General Wanasinghe and CJ Sarath N Silva who have now joined the SFƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s band wagon (however, their impact will be zero as there are no followers for SN Silva and Wanasinghe) appears to be tolerating SFƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s foul language. If he talks like this to one of his close associates who had helped the SF family (as Upul claims) in settling down in States, one can imagine if SF looses the election , how he will address the voters who did not vote for him. I will not be surprised if SF calls the voters with much more derogatory language like sons of bitches or sons of whores or even the four letter word.. Will the Sri Lankan voters in their right mind vote for this type of arrogant foul mouthed person as President of the country? He needs rehabilitation before he accepts the presidency (IF?)
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ SF should take a cue from Mahinda Rajapaksa (MR) and Gotabaya Rajapaksa (GR). Despite all accusations against MR and GR for giving orders to shoot the surrendering Tamil Tiger leaders, they only mentioned that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”he has betrayed his own army and the countryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. They never uttered a word against SF in anger or in abusive language which shows President RajapaksaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s statesmanship and decency. What country needs is not a arrogant man who does not know how to talk in public but a decent and courageous Statesman Like Mahinda Rajapakasa who address the voters with respect and dignity often calling them amma , thatha, akka , aiya , nangi, malli and chooti daruwaney alike.

This guy SF after shredding his uniform is now nothing but a plucked chicken. He has no any political experience to become the President of Sri Lanka. See how President George Bush diplayed an admirable sang-froid during the incident of a pair of shoes being thrown at him. A political leader should have that type of leadership qualitites. This ex General only displays his vanity. I am sure that he will commit suicide after the election with uncontrollable anger and lack of courage to face the situation.

Yes, SF’s language in public during this election campaign has been, to say the least, disappointing. We all know that men in the Services are tough and given to swearing and coarse language but the officer class (the better ones anyway) know how to conduct themselves well in public and ensure their language is not offensive. Alas, SF has shown he has no control over a loose tongue and shown himself to be quite uncouth with what he has had to say on occasion. I watched his Daily Mirror interview and could not believe him referring to the President and the Secretary of Defence as ‘those fellows’ and ‘these fellows’ and calling the Secretary of Defence, at one point, a ‘useless fellow’. There is obviously a serious gap in the General’s English vocabulary and other areas that he needs to address.
