The Third Harvest ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” Sri Lankan cultural event to commemorate the three years of successful publication of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”YathraƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ Sinhala newspaper originated from Canada and also three books launching by a reputed Sri Lankan writer Chandrarathna Bandara ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” will be held in Mumbai banquet hall in Toronto on Saturday April 24^th. The editor of Yathra and award winning Sri Lankan author will launch the 2^nd edition of his collection of short stories, Len Dora Pipunu Premaya, alone with its English translation by Ms. Vijita Fernando, Undercurrents. Also he will introduce his third collection of poems named Keta Kirilli.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Chandrarathna Bandara has authored several books during past 25 years and among them Meru (The Winged Ants) and Viman Dorakada (The Entrance of the Mansion) were his early successes. Meru won national literary award in the State Literary festival in Sri Lanka in 1991. Wanasapumala (The wild Champaka Flower) that won D. R. Wijewardane award for best novel in 1993 was later translated to English (Hostage City) and Tamil (Udayagal Pukkal).

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This event will feature a cultural show and awards presentation under the distinguished patronage of Canadian Poet of international fame Rienzie Crusz and Dr. Vimal Rankaduwa, Professor of Economics Prince Edward Island University.
