About Time UN’s Naveen Pillai’s Calls To Re-Investigate The Government Are Stifled As A Wasted Effort!

Once again the United Nations human rights chiefƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Naveen Pillai is stirring the pot of dissent against the Sri Lankan Administration of H.E. Mahinda Rajapaksha ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ to visibly attract the attention of the International Community and World Powers on a matter which her superior Ban Ki Moon has tried in similar perspective but has to all intents and purposes not realised his objectives.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Pillai has maintainedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ in a most obnoxious as well as disconcerting manner given her very apparent conflict of interest and personal bias on the basis of her Tamil ethnicity that Sri Lanka needed an international probe into the Government’s final offensive against Tamil Tiger rebels last year, a matter which has more or less been examined in detail and laid to rest by the sources that matter.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It’s about time she laid to rest her personal internal turbulences over the issueƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and came to terms with the reality that her agitations will go no further than the ineffectiveness of her call for further investigation as the facts behind the final offensive are cut and dried with much tangible evidence from in situ credible sources exonerating the Armed Forces of her accusation if one reads between the lines far beyond the paranoia of Pillai whose bickerings come from as far awayƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ as New York City and other domains of UN housings to which there are surreptitious chanellings by the clandestine LTTE lobbyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ which Pillai seems to champion where a barking brigade of Anti Sri Lankan proactive Tamils constantly clarion their worthless theme!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Navi Pillay, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights should specificallyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ note as well as respect rather than denigrate ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ that the Sri Lankan Government had indeed created a post-war reconciliation commission to look into alleged human rights violations, and provide justice to victims which is not only dutiful on the part of the Government of Sri Lanka but also magnanimous and compassionate where the Government is unafraid to confront any sources which contradict the theme.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Naveen Pillai’s lobby is the least of the Government’s concerns while the world is fast becoming aware that Pillai’s is a voice in the wilderness of dissent based on bias and surmission to which no tangible proof or evidence beyond doctored video clips and mountains of falsified hearsay which experts haveƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ gone over with a fine tooth comb and found inconclusive or completely false! andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ are the only testimonies.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
When she says that “However, based on previous experience and new information, I remain convinced that such objectives would be better served by establishing an independent international accountability mechanism that would enjoy public confidence, both in Sri Lanka and elsewhere,” she exposes her transparency towards her persistent nagging over the issue which beyond the metaphor is a simple elimination of a deadly terrorist enemy which compromised and endangered National Security andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ theTerritorial Integrity of the Sinhla Nation executed to perfection by the Nation’s elite Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies where the entire world or a greater part thereof agrees that it was a precedent creating stunning demolition of what was once known as the word’s most dangerous terror group apart from Al Quaeda.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
If her dissentƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and call for further investigation ( a total waste of time and the taxpayer’s money!)has anything to do with the civillian ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ casualties of the conflict relative to the word attrocities she needs to direct her concerns to the Tamil Tigers and Prabhakaran all of whom most unfortunately for her are non existent albeit the only sources with which the term attrocities can be definitively coined rather than the Government of Sri Lanka!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
She probably needs to be enlightenedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ about the fact that it was the timely intervention of theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sri Lankan Government and the Armed Forces that veritably prtevented a massacre of the innocentsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ fleeing from the terrorists and a bloodbath which was consequently avoided despite a temporary crossfire which seemed imminent albeit avoided through clever military strategy.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
In the same contradictory breath PillaiƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ seems to have assessed “that some progress has been made since the end of the conflict in the return and resettlement of displaced people.” so thank you very much Madame Pillai for your astute observation which unfortunately seems to be a lame offer to your accusations against the GOSL and calls for further investigation! Bearing in mind that it was the Government which initiated the rescue and internment of the Internally Displaced Persons for their own safety until measures were set in place for their safe return to their local neighbourhoods,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Pillai has no grounds to stand on in her accusations against the Government which has carried out its duties to perfection inasmuch as ridding the nation of the deadly forces of insurgency she seems to want so desperately to champion which undoubtedly is what her agitations are all about.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
The Government of Sri lanka needs no reminders or nudging about the “Concrete initiativesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ which must now follow to provide justice and redress to victims and generally to promote accountability and longer-term reconciliation,” which has already been prioritised and measures under way towards expediting every means necessary and Pillai’s rhetoric amounting to mere sensationalism where she simply isn’t the be all and end all of administrative decision making in Sri Lanka but to the contrary an external meddlingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ non entity into the internal affairs of a major issue of a Sovereign nationƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ which she is better off maintaing a stiff upper lip about lest she incurs eitherƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the laughing instincts of a world audience or theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ raised eyebrows of many world leaders who have given a credible hearing to the Sri Lankan Administration and concluded that the matter has been resolved despite her efforts to pursue it further!

This senile cronie must simply be ignored. Its time the GOSL told her and the UN “go to hell”.

As H. L. D. Mahindapala says put United Nations human rights chief Naveen Pillai’s comments or report through the nearest shredder and forget it. Do not waste time.

I cannot understand why we Sri Lankans are paying any attention to these ‘powerless’, ‘spineless’ lackeys like Navi Pillai and Moon. They are just jokers only making a noice here and there. Look at what is happening with the peaceful ‘ Freedom Flotilla’ and what the criminal Israeli regime attacked it killing 9 unarmed peace activists. What Navi Pillai could do was just to issue the usual ‘false condemnation’ to Israel and then go to sleep. No follow up action will be done thereafter.
Ours is a much different case where we defeated a ‘ruthless’ terrorist army banned by many countries including the USA. So, when Moon or Navi says something about us just forget about it. Just say to them ‘GET LOST’ the same way Israel says to them even for condeming a real crime.
Dogs bark but the Caravan should move on.
