Some free advice to Upsara Fonseka.

Dear Upsara:
You have written a short essay and published it in ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”the Sunday LeaderƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ and few web sites. If your desire had been to garner public support for your fatherƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s predicaments, by now you must have realised itƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s a futile effort. You see Upsara; ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”the Sunday LeaderƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ is an antinational tabloid and as such patriots doesnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t subscribe to it. Read on, youƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ll understand what I mean.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Apsara; your father was an ungrateful man. He has forgotten he would be retired in just thirteen days if he wasnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t appointed the commander by President Rajapakse. So letƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s face it: If not for President Rajapakse, your father would have been another obscure Major general living in Oklahoma sweating for his living; may be as a security manager.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Then your father has become our hero alright. So much so, people were not happy when the government tried to fix him as the secretary for the ministry of sports. That was the time Sinhala people were not sure whether it is your father or President Rajapakse is the true war hero. Sinhala people were truly divided as the so-called IC and other detractors wanted. Many a patriots and nationalist thought no matter who wins, Sri Lanka will be safe.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ So, it would have been advantageous for him, had he left his personal animosities to Rajapakses aside when he barged in to politics. With or without his knowledge however, the so-called IC and NGOs capitalised your fatherƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s misunderstanding or rift with Rajapakses. As these neo-colonists do around the world, they made your father an absolute gullible. The JVP and the UNP too joined the clique to come out of their doldrums. Your fatherƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s ego ran too high. New to politics, he lost his bearing.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Then he came out with that stupid white flag story. Whether he popped it out on the advice of the neo-colonialists or on his own, he alone knows the truth. Thinking about what your father was boasting just few months before that, we just couldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t believe it. We thought; how could our erstwhile commander implicate our war heroes like Gotabhaya Rajapakse, Shavendra Silva and etc as ‘war criminals’. With the JVP denying it, your father started blowing hot and cold. That was the beginning of the end of his ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”War HeroƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ fame.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ As I said, for patriots like us, your father was a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”war heroƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ when he was in the uniform. Not anymore; even if your father is hanged (hypothetical) today, we would not shed a tear for him for he is the pest that made UN, IC and what not poke their finger in to our conflict that we manage to end so successfully.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ For those that castigated your father as a traitor during the war like ManGala, with the change of sides, he has become a hero. For those that had been gleeful when that woman with a bomb in here belly blasted herself, he became a saviour. You father never realised they have their own agenda. Apsara, you should understand that all those people are not just vicious but parasites. They have been your armchair supporters for awhile. But they would have never risked anything for him. Do you think they would shed a tear for him; I wonder. You should use your brain to visualise why?
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Ordinary people in this country, not the ones that write to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”face bookƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”twitterƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ and what not, I mean the ordinary ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”gamayaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ like your father once he was, have dumped your father by the time they cast their vote at the Presidential elections. As for UNPers; they have abandoned him after the elections.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ All the indications are; JVPers will give him up sooner than later. Perhaps Arjuna and Tiran would remain with him for they are brain dead just like your father. But what can they do? Nothing I suppose. They cannot even organise a successful protest.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ I am no lawyer. But common sense tells me that your father will not be hanged for hanging wasnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t done in Sri Lanka for a long time. I have never known Gota personally. But he sounds and looks a very straight man. He was angry with your father for letting loose his foul mouth. It is for the spur of the moment he said your father should be hanged. Even CBK had said she would lynch the rouges at Galle face. So, you shouldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t take his word literally and try to take advantage.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ We all knew KP is an intelligent man. Now we see him as adaptable as well. Your father should have taken a cue from KP. Remember, what the President told your father the day he handover his resignation: those people that mislead him will abandon him one day and he can come to him (President) then.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ You know what that fox did when it saw the goat with a large testicle. It went after it day after day but never got it. Take it from me; that is exactly what you, your family and your father had been doing. Anyway, I have this bad feeling though; court would convict and sentence your father for a long jail term.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Now you have all that ill-gotten money, why not you come here, and visit with your father often and console him. That’s what a good daughter should be doing. No point moaning from Oklahoma. After all, your father has more rights than any other prisoner in history. I mean, a little apartment, butler, three course meals, unrestricted family visits, etc and etc. The last but not the least; donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t be stupid, try right things through right channels.

Upsara & Apsara have become the new call girls of the SundayLeader (and the West).
Ironically had the SundayLeader been successful in their anti-Lankan, anti-Sinhala agendas the war would have stopped and their daddys claims of “being the sole war hero” would never have materialised.
Secondly their father is an ungrateful selfish man. He would be a nobody had it not been for the current Government, and he has proven what a useless man he truly is save for his ruthless and vile egoistical nature coupled with a foul lying mouth which has exposed what he truly is for all to see these last 8 months. What greater proof than the venom he spat on the Army (which he makes a big deal about being part of) just to further his own dirty greed. He abuses phone and Parliamentary privileges (which he does not deserve) to try and spit on the country as he wants to bring misery on the nation and people for not other reason than vengeance on the people for rejecting him TWICE at elections (akin to the UNP/Colombians you see in Parliament and their ugly supporters spitting hate and idiocy in Adaderana, DailyMirro and of course SundayLeader).
Thirdy their father killed Lasantha (good riddance) because he could not take the vile attacks the SundayLeader was launching against him, his family and his daughters.
Bumping Scumlantha off was the best thing Fonseka did but it was ill timed, i wanted Scumlantha to live to see what a failure he was: failure as Journalist, failure as a lawyer, failure as a businessman, failure as a family man and failure in everything he did including his disgusting predictions, attitudes and racism towards Sinhalese and the war laced in religious zeal fulfilling the type of Christian extremist cult the SundayLeader is which in itself reflects on Scumlantha, his paper, its readers, contributors, benefactors and members (heck this paper capitalised on Scumlantha’s death to propel themselves to “international fame”, which just shows what unscrupulous foul individuals they are and is in turn reflective of the type of activities -plus religion- they promote and the values they hold, which are clearly ones of selfishness, greed, racism, Christian extremism, intolerance and servitude to the West which is terrible for any nation or people). Scumlantha got the easy way out.
Anyway hope no one gets me wrong, i am not loosing sleep over Scumlantha. But what i do find infuriating is the manner in which Fonseka killed Scumlantha and Gotabaya took full blame for it to protect blood thirsty power mad ugly Fonny Fonseka with Fonseka having the audacity to heap blame on Gotabaya for it as though he had nothing to do with it.
Gotabaya is a rare gem for Sinhalese and Sri Lanka, he along with the other soldiers (specifically Shavindra Silva, Jagath Dias, Jagath Jayasuria, Prasanna Silva) Fonseka tried to sell out (to his master Blake in exchange for green card and his personal ambitions like the ungrateful man he is), have one quality that Fonseka lacked: A soldiers honour and love for his country.
Real heroes are ready to sacrifice themselves for the name and safety of the country; traitors sacrifice the name of the country for their selfish power seeking agendas much like Ranil, the JVP, Colombians, UNP and the Fonseka family have done.

Herold Leelawardena Thanks your candid advice to Apsara & Upsara. Better you advice to Anoma who is dreaming to become first Lady. I do not want to wast mention time about the Sunday Leader as I am waiting closing their publication near future.

“Lie down with dogs, wake up with fleas” This is the very same scenario Sarath Fonseka facing now. On what basis Fonseka had a coalition with traitor Ranil (who signed a pact with Velupillai), Ravi (Killinochi-Medawachchi), Mangala (Salvation Army), Sampandan (Tamil terrorist LTTE proxy party leader) and Muslim congress Rauff Hakim (who signed a pact with Velupillai).
They all are anti Sinhalese pro western agents and wanted to divide Sri Lanka for the western agendas. They all used Fonseka as a toilet paper. They threw him to the pit soon after the election.
Even JVP used Fonseka as a bull to come to parliament. If they contested without SF JVP will not get a single seat. Handunetti and Herath elected thanks to SF’s sympathy votes. In Galle district JVPer came on caste basis also thanks to SF’s Ambalangoda voters. JVP knew their verdict before the election that’s why Anura Kumara Dissanayaka appointed on national list. He knew he definitely defeat if contested in Kurenegala district.
We have to tell only one thing to SF “Kumbalawo kewanam duka vidapan balalo”

Apsara is a young lady who has the right to fight for her father- being the daughter of this particular father I believe she will fight his battle. So will General Fonseka – he fought Prabkhakaran (whether the likes of you can remember this or not- does not matter) and he will fight his battles. So hold your crocodile tears for now! Apsara also has a right to express an opinion. For some reason (surprising!!) she has not sought your ‘free advice’ and you should not let your EGO run amock as to think anybody would need it unsolicited. Your pompous ‘free advice’ is crass and is unwarrented to say the least!
Sunday Leader trash report implicating Gen Fonseka is now sub judice- why don’t let the judges decide and give the verdict instead of you rushing in?
You say that Apsara’s father- General SF is an ‘ungrateful man’. Gratitude does not seem to be your best attribute either- in fact you don’t seem to know the meaning of the word judging by the trash you seem to write! You think SF needs to be ‘grateful’ to Pres MR for giving him a job overriding pending retirement? Why don’t you ask MR whether he was doing SF a favour by appointing him Army Commander or whether he was doing the whole country a favour by that appointment at that juncture which produced results beyond anyone’s expectations? Do you think MR is that stupid to appoint someone to THAT POSITION at THAT JUNCTURE out of sympathy rather than getting the best person in the country who had the skills and the persona to tackle the job at hand? Never mind MR- just how stupid are you?
I notice you decree that Arjuna Ranatunga is brain dead! Lets see- Arjuna was arguably the best captain of the SL cricket team- he oversaw the only World Cup victory SL has ever had! He faught against the international cricket bigots supporting Murali’s career as a bowler. Apart from writing this type of trash in the web I don’t know what else YOU have done or do- who is brain dead? Go figure!
SF had over 4 million votes at the Pres election- you think all that are from the Facebook and Twitter?
Gotabhaya Rajapakse should not engage in loose talk- he should control his temper- at least when he is facing the world through hostile cameras. He should not sound like a vicious dictator when is the Defence secretary of a deocratic nation. And… by the way… he lost his temper long before SF ‘let loose his foul mouth’. He fell out with SF by the conclusion of the war- as people sometimes do. Both men handled the most impossible jobs in the world- and they fell out at some point. It should have been handled properly by the powers that be- It is scavengers like you who made the situation get out of hand by cheering the ‘winners’ from the sidelines.
About SF having more rights than other ‘prisoners’- little apartment, butler, three course meals, unrestricted family visits- you are either ignorant of the real situation or you are kidding! try KP (whom you think SF should now get advice from) for a ‘prisoner’ with more rights!
Lastly, why don’t you follow your own advice? don’t be stupid- and here’s some free advice from me- do something constructive with your time!

Fonseka had 4 million votes? Really? Where did they go if he only got 98,000 in the GE and his “party” only getting 500,000 +/- in total? (Lowering even more to a puny 150 people during the 4 month anniversary of his rightful detention). It is a fact that those votes were from dejected UNP supporters who were too ashamed of their own leadership and Tamils (via the TNA) who ironically were the cause of the war and firm backers of it.
It is extremely sad and reflects terribly on Fonsekas nature to on the one hand brag about his “successes” as the “sole war hero” while on the other joining up with the very same people who tried their best to assist the LTTE and were strongly against the Military spending every waking moment plotting and planning non stop activities and action against the nation, which if had been successful Fonseka would not have anything to brag about. Fonseka called their activities “small things” in his first press conference when asked about the issue. Well they would have been very “huge things” had they been successful. His response to that question at that time was small glimpse into his real character of ungratefulness and personal greed that the nation would sadly be subjected to with immense consequences.
Gotabaya is strong defender of the country and people and importantly the military, his limited english vocabulary is why he struggles and comes out “wrongly” but it is evident from his speeches and general behaviour he cares for the country and is a soft individual, to slap on titles like “military dictator” is extremely unfair and arrogant as it is hardly the case and any neutral observer can see that his poor understanding of english is what makes him struggle which is exploited crudely by unscrupulous media. For those within Sri Lanka to use that as a tool of attack to project a flawed argumentative point is in itself crude and just sad.
Fonseka’s time in detention and detention conditions is in fact no different to KP, so to say that the latter is being treated better, with more “rights” than the former is factually incorrect. A man who plots a coup and sells out the nation with bogus stories for goodness knows why exactly (being fully aware of the repercussion such tales would have) while teaming up with the nations enemies to then be allowed to enter Parliament, give press conference and have phone facilities –despite knowing his revenge filled activities- has more rights than he is willing to admit and by pretending they are non existent again reflects on ungratefulness. And we all know Fonseka had plans to kill and incarcerate all those who he had “disagreements” with, plans which he boasted about openly during the PE period thinking he was actually going to win.
Returning to KP, he is not a betrayer of the country because he already is the enemy, everyone knows who and what type of scum he is and that is being kept under lock and key, made to dance to the nations tunes. If he can be used to further the nations interests in exchange for a double bed then I see no problem with it.
Fonseka on the other hand has done more damage to the nation and people and significantly the Army which he milked his career from than KP or anyone be they Tamils, LTTE or the West could ever do which reflects on the nature of Fonseka, driven by his ugly ego and selfish desire he willingly damages and insults the country to fulfil his personal vendettas without the care in the world for the country.
The nature of the Fonseka family is one of deceit, ruthlessness and ungratefulness, so to see his daughters behaving the same is not much of a surprise however I would have thought they would chose another medium other than SundayLeader, but then the Fonseka family has proven to be one driven by personal desires and selfishness and achieving whatever goal they are after through whatever means no matter how unethical and hypocritical. They only have love for themselves and not the country, which is not a big deal either if they did not package themselves as the “sole” “saviours” of the country when all the facts and their own mouths prove otherwise.
This is further encapsulated by “Anoma’s tears”? Or correctly put “Anoma’s lies” we were subjected to during the GE run up. What happened to her daily media circus? Remember she told us Fonseka was being denied good food, air conditioning, hot water and was being tortured in detention? Remember she said he was denied his medication, denied aspirin for headaches, had a heart condition, was being sleep deprived, and then had bronchitis? All those heart rendering tales from Anoma made me think Fonseka would enter Parliament on a stretcher with IV drip but no, shockingly he attends Parliament fit as a fiddle with his ugly tongue fully flexed and ready to spit out more venom against the nation and people. In fact Fonseka was more healthier after being detained then before he was put in. All in all it points to the vulgar deceptive nature of the Fonseka family and all done as a media gimmick to elicit sympathy to get votes, which 98,000 people fell for. Now even they have abandoned him as seen with the “4 month anniversary” protest against his rightful legal detention where only 150 people turned up -mostly family members, so in reality his support is even less. The recent song and dance just yesterday was probably organised with her green card supplier Blake (another manipulatively, deceit filled, despicable vile individual, a perfect embodiment of the white world) visiting.

I’ll disregard all the derogatory adjectives and hearsay allegations you have come up with against this man and his family -I’ll deal with whatever facts I can find in your response.
Yes, in the Presidential election SF got over 4 million votes- those votes were from the entire country. In the General Election he may have got the number of votes you are quoting – that was from that particular ward of the Colombo electorate. Naturally he can’t get 4 million votes from one ward in Colombo because there aren’t that number of people in that area. The fact remains is that SF has a huge following not only in the general population but also among the armed forces. Those are the armed forces personnel who were devastated at the treatment SF got from ungrateful elements and left the State Forces and offered their services to protect Gen Fonseka. These very people were then labelled as ‘deserters’ and SF is accused of ’employing deserters’. It may not be easy for some people to fathom this but there are people who find it impossible to call a man a ‘hero’ one day and spit on him the next day. For these people a hero will always be a hero.
You seem to understand that GR’s reactions at the BBC interview may have been due to English not being his first language as it is not mine nor yours- I agree. However, you fail to apply the same understanding to SF who has said several wrong things since being given the step motherly treatment and worse after the war. This was a time when some absolutely leud allegations were being thrown about even on tv in Sri Lanka targetting SF; he was supposed have been engaging in so many sexual liasons with so many women one wondered where he had the time to fight a war! What happened to those fancy allegations? Did they die a natural death there being zero substance behind them? I fully understand his anger and disoriented behaviour given the atrocious treatment he has received at the hands of his former ‘hero worshippers’!
You may think that KP and SF are the same- but forgive us those who will want to throw up at the very suggestion!
There is a big difference between calling GR a dictator and asking him not to behave giving that impression to the uninitiated giving more armoury to SL’s enemies. You DO NOT need to educate me on the virtues of GR; I firmly believe GR are MR godsends to alleviate our suffering. It does not mean I am going to sing ‘varsi petthata hoiya’ to MR and GR and step all over the other hero in the combination that defeated the Tamil terror- SF!
UN and the IC is not persecuting on SF’s utterances; this was done for us by four to five Tamil doctors who have had very brief stays in detention, kissed the right arses and went back to their perks and jobs. One even got elected as a chieftain of the Northern Province. Not a hum is heard of these rogues! Where is your perspective?
So you are happy to stoke these criminals like KP gently while you flog the army commander who put his life on the line for the country! Just because he was the one who fought for us and then fell from grace he should be flogged by all the good for nothing ‘patriots’ who have done far less for the country than SF has during a single second of his life!
Well, excuse me if I do not join your lynch mob!

Ramanie:
You must be a personal friend of SF. Otherwise; how on earth you could have ignored his wicked threat to give evidence against our ‘war heroes’ at ICC as you defend him. Neither could I understand how you can concur with his agreement to TNA conditions. Tell us why should we hang on to him in the face of such dastardly moves?
My letter to Upsara wasn’t unsolicited. In her note she pleaded for our support. And I responded for it. I gave many a reason why we dropped him. Who are we? I’ll tell you; it is those of us that live in the villages of Sri Lanka.
Now, who are those 4 million that voted him? Let me tell you; A good number of them are the kiths and kin of the separatists that hated him the days he sang ‘Tamil Nadu politicos are jokers and this country belongs to Sinhalese’ and etc. Don’t take my word, just look at map of the election results. The Districts that SF won is no different to that are in the Eelam map. Then there are the greens that would vote even a ‘polpiththa’, if it is of UNP. But SF will not get a chance to get average UNP vote again. Then there are the frustrated JVP lot.
I do not want to comment on whether it is SF or Gotabhaya can speak English better. As far as I can see, after living in the US for well over ten years, Gota speaks the vernacular well enough to speak his mind. That’s what matters. Gota hit the nail to the point and took BBC Hard Talk Sackur for a sucker. Read what Manila Times says.

However, you fail to apply the same understanding to SF who has said several wrong things since being given the step motherly treatment and worse after the war.
Oh really? Well his BBC Lardtalk interview went “pretty well”, appearing like a pre-planned question and answer session (wonder how much they practised huh?).
Now, what kind of person says “wrong things” then repeats them continually? Fonseka has no problem lying and using deceit. This is not some fraudulent allegation or defamation by me or anyone else but something based on Fonseka’s own mouth and the speeches he gives.
When the illegal UN Panel was formed he not only welcomed it and extended his support to it but would “give evidence” (June 2010).
When Wimal staged his rightful protest against the UN he accused Fonseka of this very fact which Fonseka comically denied.
Prior to his arrest he said he was willing to go to any international court to give evidence (February 2010). And now he also denies that.
Then there is Fonseka teaming up with Channel 4 to try and humiliate Sri Lanka, along with undermining our judiciary thus undermining the state, on the first day of trial this year (March 2010). Out of all the Western media outlets he chooses the most hostile and racist one of the lot to “air” his hate. Channel 4 has a history of producing racist filth against Sinhalese, portraying Sinhalese as living devils who deserve to be killed.
How on earth could he collude with that (then again he colluded with the LTTE and the political forces within the country people who tried to crush the nation and Military)? It is just another example showing he does not care for the nation but only himself.
Same Channel 4 manufactured the infamous video (with assistance from Colombian Sunandra Deshapriya) used to degrade and insult our Army, which only came back to life after Fonseka opened his foul mouth. That thing was buried and resurfaced solely because of him (re-edited by Sunandra Deshapriya to remove the flaws which Siri Hewa caught that exposed it as a fake, in essence what Alston -another man riddled with an ego and hate for Sri Lanka- “authenticated” was a different version to what was initially shown).
Intriguingly when the video aired back in July 2009, Fonseka said or did nothing about it. Not even a word of condemnation? Does he not care for the image of the Army, something he brags about and his loyal follows make a big deal out of? (Well why bother asking, the answer to that is obvious to all except the ones in denial).
UN and the IC is not persecuting on SF’s utterances
Actually they are.
No matter how hard you try to spin it the hard reality is the “war crimes” rubbish was dead and gone until Fonskea opened his mouth giving energy and new hope to the nations enemies who were demoralised, lost and loosing interest in Sri Lanka as they had nothing to castigate SL with (in fact it was him leaving the Rajapakse team back in October 2009 out of his own selfish and grotesque lusting for power and vile ego that got them geared and ready for “juicy” information in the first place).
His forked tongue and deceitful nature is captured perfectly in this Island article piece:
Doublespeak –From Island Political Column.
“If the UNP leadership is under a cloud for being anti-national for what they did during the war, General Fonseka is under and even darker cloud because of things said and done after the war ended, and he entered politics. That comment that he made to the Sunday Leader that Gotabhaya Rajapakse had ordered frontline commanders to shoot surrendering LTTE leaders, has been quoted in every report on alleged war crimes in Sri Lanka. Fonseka later denied that he had said any such thing to the Sunday Leader, yet a few days later he repeated what he had said to the Sunday Leader at a public meeting and this is on video.
This tendency to say yes, no and yes again to the same thing is a Fonseka hallmark. During the presidential election, he stated on camera that he is willing to cooperate with any international war crimes inquiry and that he would present all the information he has to any such tribunal. Then later he says that no war crimes were committed in Sri Lanka. If there were no war crimes in Sri Lanka, why is he then saying that he will cooperate with any war crimes tribunal and that he will present whatever information he has on war crimes to such a tribunal? If no war crimes were committed, then what he should be saying is that no crimes were committed, therefore he has no information that he can present to a war crimes tribunal and therefore it would be unnecessary for him to appear before any such tribunal international or otherwise.
But this not what we hear from him. Around three weeks ago, Derana TV captured Fonseka on camera once again saying that he will fully cooperate with any international war crimes investigation and that he will present all information that he has on war crimes committed here to any such tribunal. He further said that patriotism is not protecting those who had committed war crimes. After all this, he says once again, that no war crimes were committed in Sri Lanka. All the newspapers reported that Fonseka had said that no war crimes had been committed in this country but they did not report what he had said only moments earlier. Just the day before yesterday, Fonseka said once again on Sirisa TV what he had said earlier on Derana. He is sending mixed signals on this issue. What people expect from a military leader is unequivocal statements not waffling doublespeak of the kind even the slimiest of politicians would not utter.
How does one explain this inability of Fonseka to say anything without equivocating? He started this doublespeak from the time the Sunday Leader published his statement that Gota had ordered the field commanders to shoot surrendering LTTE leaders. Under pressure from his political allies he retracted that statement, but repeated it elsewhere. And from that time onwards, he has been saying that he will give all information he has on war crimes committed here to any international tribunal while at the same time saying that no war crimes were committed here. Some think that he says that he will cooperate with any international war crimes tribunal only to put the Rajapakse’s into a flutter and that he does not actually mean what he says. But I think differently. I think he means every word of it when he says that he will cooperate with an international war crimes investigation. Given the fact that he has no way of bringing down the Rajapakses except with the help of an international war crimes tribunal and that his animosity against the Rajapakse’s is at fever pitch after his humiliating defeat at the presidential elections, ratting on his superiors as well as his former subordinates is not beyond Fonseka.”
http://www.island.lk/2010/05/22/features2.html
Too bad Raminar, your desperate excuses and apologising for Fonseka does not hold, no matter how hard you try he is a venom filled betrayer and nothing you say can really varnish that off, for the simple reason it is his own mouth at work, not once but all the time. The Island article, quoted above, perfectly illustrates this point.
He knew clearly and exactly what he was doing and saying. Where as an honest and genuine individual, importantly one who cares for his country over self, would behave far differently no matter how “wronged” he felt personally, never letting greed, selfishness and hunger for power blind him nor abuse his position and authority to spill “wrong things” repeatedly and knowingly as is the case with Fonseka.
He knew damn well what was happening in the world around Sri Lanka and the bogus human rights and war crimes witch hunt, but he opened his mouth repeatedly saying “wrong things” repeatedly driven by personal ambition and desires (selfishness, greed, revenge) than love for his nation.
It was Fonseka who created the “white flag” story, no one asked him that question, he came out and said it on his own, then gave a half baked denial, before repeating it (and its derivates) many times again.
It is because of him the war crimes rubbish is being perused with such zeal.
Fonseka is a revenge driven vengeful man who cares for little other than himself and is utterly ruthless with an ugly ego the nation has had enough of.
He has no problem spewing as much hate and deception as possible to bring as much misery on the people to punish the nation for rejecting him TWICE at elections.
He knows he has no political future, yet he still seeks power, wealth and vengeance and is willing to burn the nation to get it.
He deserves the “rough” treatment he is getting and he along with his family members who engage in identical revenge fuelled deceit, defamation against the nation and power/wealth lusts are rightfully criticised because they only care about themselves and are willingly destroying the nation for their personal, short sighted, happiness.

Then there is Fonseka teaming up with Channel 4 to try and humiliate Sri Lanka, along with undermining our judiciary thus undermining the nation, on the first day of trial this year (March 2010).
“UN and the IC is not persecuting on SF’s utterances”

More Fonseka family deceit, deceit filled hypocrisy, defamation against the nation, and outright madness on display:
” Courts unable to give independent judgments today: we must all unite in our campaign -Anoma Fonseka “
Anoma Fonseka also speaking on the occasion said, I am indeed delighted that I am associated with a campaign like this. The massive crowds are an inspiration to us . They give us the necessary strength . I tell all those who are seeking to weaken us that none of their efforts will avail .They can never stop us in our victorious march to our goal. Everyone is aware that the Courts are unable to take independent decisions . The Govt. is using its power to taint the judiciary too. I urge everyone of you to stand united to carry forward our struggle.

” DNA to file legal action
The Democratic National Alliance (DNA) is to file legal action against the government for contempt of court as its Leader General Sarath Fonseka was prevented from attending the Parliament consultative committee meetings for the second consecutive day today. DNA sources said the party had decided to file contempt of court charges as the General had been prevented from attending the meeting despite the court order issued yesterday.”

If the courts are “no good”, how can they file legal action in the same breath huh?
It is unbelievable they protest and vilely attack the decisions of the courts because things do not go their way – a perfect representation of the selfishness of the Fonsekas
The Fonsekas have no issue undermine the sovereignty of the nation, and making the nation suffer some how (as the bogus war crimes tales which Fonseka has been spearheading will lead/can lead to economic sanctions and extreme difficulties for Sri Lanka), just so they can get “their way”.
