Petroleum – The truth “ An Honest American†wants to be US president.

The intricacy of petroleum to American life in the early 21st century would have shocked 19th century users of “Pennsylvania rock oil.” Most farmers who knew about oil in the early 1800s saw seeping crude oil as a nuisance to agriculture and water supplies. These observers were not the first people to consider the usefulness of petroleum, which had been a part of human society for thousands of years. However, its value grew only when European-Americans offered the resource their commodity-making skills.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It was the strong opinion of clever people why America wanted to invade Iraq. It was ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-oilƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ evil oil that came out of the hell (or the west misused it). The oil that destroyed the atmosphere. The oil that made millions of Iraqi children homeless! America used most of the oil. It is true that they discovered it. But it does not mean they own oil in other countries. All the US supporters and George Bush never admit this. Clever people know what the west is doing. They do the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-money launderingƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. Tony Blair sold Millions of dollars worth of oil to Gaddafi. Now UK is leading the war to destroy these weapons and capture the oil fields and then sell arms again, to a puppet regime.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Potential presidential candidate Donald Trump claims he only supports Libyan intervention provided the U.S. can “take the oil.” He also warns of Iran controlling Iraq’s oil if the U.S. doesn’t secure it first.
He also mentioned to ABC journalist that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-The price of oil is hearting the Americans. I want to take over Libyan oil and send a strong message to OPEC who had their funƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ What Americans should do is, change their life style. Park the cars 2 Kilometres away from the station and walk. You will be healthy. That will save millions of barrels of oil per year and reduce the pollution. Cut down air travel and let China also improve the standard of living of their people without pointing at them for contributing to pollution. They were riding push bicycles for 50 years.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Here I wish to remind the readers that the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Tea for OilƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ trade agreement Sri Lanka had with Iraq, made Sl secured. More jobs for people in the oil refinery at Sapugaskanda and a better price for out tea in the world market. In early seventies it was reported that Iraq became our best buyer of tea, which increased the price of tea in the world market. Prior to that, our tea went to England for peanuts and we got expensive refined oil and other related petroleum products from Britain and America. Please, those who work for petroleum cooperation, please look after the Industry. DonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t let it down.

Mr Orpheus Perera is right – “… look after the Industry. Don’t let it down”. Whilst the Oil Industry is not good for the Environment, most of the current technology is geared for petrol and almost totally so as far as cars & planes are concerned.
Also, see below the list of other Petroleum Products, showing how important Oil is. However, we should do our best to produce Green (Sustainable) Energy (Solar, Wind, Hydro, Biofuels, etc.), as much as possible, whilst using Petrol. Some happy day, a total switch over will happen to Green Energy, the sooner the better for the whole world.
