Eastern Terror on the March

One needs not be a prophet to foretell what happens and what will happen in the east. This is certainly not the continuation of the sudden spring spreading in parts of the world but a ludicrous spate of mob violence. Not even two days passed since the last episode of eastern terrorism emerged and there are many other similar events especially in the east. Manic mobs arbitrarily attack fellow human beings calling them ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-grease devilsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. This barbaric madness fuelled by demonic following must stop forthwith. No one has the right to take the law into their dirty hands. There is only one law of the country and that is the supreme law of the land.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ After the events in Potuvil and Katankudy, similar events have occurred in other parts of the country too, notably in strategically important Kinniya in Trincomalee district. Why is it growing like another cancer? Simple; the first attacks were not properly handled by security forces. Emboldened by inaction, they are now taking more and more police functions into their hands! East is fast descending into another Pakistan of lawlessness.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Alleging a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-grease devilƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚, mobs attacked the navy camp injuring two policemen. When police tried to bring the mob under control, hooligans started attacking the police too. Twenty five terrorist suspects were arrested. http://www.adaderana.lk/news.php?nid=14562 ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ However, the terror attempts didnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t end there. Organised mobs chanted that the navy camp is removed from the area. At last they are openly speaking their minds now! DidnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t the people guess this long before this drama? These mobs are trying to protect various criminals and the navy camp has been the main obstacle to their mafia work. Next they will arm themselves and start attacking navy, army and police personnel unless these terrorists are eliminated from the Lankan soil forthwith. http://www.adaderana.lk/news.php?nid=14565
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Later the thugs stormed into the GA office of the area demanding the release of the 25 terror suspects arrested. Demonstrators had also demanded that the navy camp is removed. Then the most unwise thing happened; police released the 25 terror suspects!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This is a sure encouragement to mob violence and terrorism. It is not difficult to understand their mentality after the release. Now they have all the reasons to believe that they are above the law. This will lead to even more violent acts. Ultimately these diabolic mobs will create another mono-ethnic de facto state in the east where people of other ethnicities cannot enter or pass through. Patriotic Sri Lankans demand the government not to give into these infernal mobs and to uphold the law against them no matter what. If need be the armed forces should be deployed.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Counter insurgency methods must be put in place in the east immediately. Assistance from nations with experience in handling extremist uncivilized mob violence should be sought as this can escalate into violence of the international scale. Foreign funded extremist ideological campaigns in the east must be eliminated before they overtake law enforcement authorities with the assistance of political opportunists now at the feet of the rulers. Clandestine radio stations operating in the east that instigate hatred and violence should be brought down. New laws are needed to punish mobs that take law into their hands. Care should be exercised to minimize inconvenience and casualties to the civilian population in the area.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

“Grease yaka” travelling in a car?
Ridiculous. These people looking for reasons to cause trouble.
Reminds me of the movie Grease starring John Travolta and the car race. Lightning!

Kinniya Navy camp is a strategic asset to avoid terror and smuggling activities and its the smugglers that are part of this agitation so that they can do their business unhindered.
Intelligence agencies are on top of this activities but police are not…

POLICE RELEASING THE 25 SUSPECTS THAT ATTACKED THE NAVY AND POLICE PERSONNEL ? DISGRACEFUL, AND DISGUSTING TO HEAR OF SUCH A MOVE. IS POLICE GETTING SERVILE TO POLITICIANS ??
It appears that Police are giving into an Ex-Terrorist Chief Minister. This is just the start. They want the FORCES PERSONNEL to move out of the Eastern Province, to begin their old business of smuggling ARMS.
First the Bank Robbery, then attacking the police and navy personnel, then attacking the GA’s office, and finally they want the Navy Camp dismantled. WHAT NEXT ?
The time has come to establish an Army Camp, to control the invisible LTTE Rump in the Eastern Province. They will need to annhilate the terrorists, who are trying to establish their own law, under the guise of thugs and rebels.
I do hope that the Police have all the details and background information of the 25 released.

law and order has to be maintained and mob rule must not be allowed. Anti terrorist measures need to be taken immediately, and those arrested dealt under law. We may be dealing with people whose mind is seriously didtorted. We should not allow mini states within Lanka.

Releasing these criminals is the offence here. Nothing else. One task of law and order is to discourage the culprits and others from doing the same or similar offences. Obviously there is a big problem with law and order in Sri Lanka. It has nothing to do with ethnicity. Politicians of all ethnicities save their associates no matter what.

How did ‘Grease Devils” get translated into “get rid of the Navy” ??? !! Besides, no one has seen these ‘Grease Devils’ nor are there any victims from ‘Grease DEvil’ attacks, are there ?. A few poor people got killed without inquiry or justice and a probably hired mob went crazy. This is Fear mongering at its worst !
The Security Forces & Police should just stand firm and bring the culprits to justice.
British PM David Cameron labelled the recent brief mob rule in Britain “lack of morality”. It is the same in Sri Lanka or anywhere else in the world.
It’s better to do sports & games to get rid of frustrations on any issue.

Muslims buying almost all properties in Colombo near cities is directly related to drug trafficking. By the time drug supply somewhat slowed due to failing of Afganistan, they have already conquerd the main cities.
I am not sure these greasy devils are Muslim mobs or Tamil mobs or even Sinhala mobs, but this should be killed right now in most inhumane way.

Hello nanda,
I am sure these mobs are tamils who were once tamil terrorists captured by Security Forces after the defeat of tamil terrorism.
SLG is playing a pivotal role using these former tamil terrorist thugs to destabilise the unity in the East.
