When a major legislation is passed in the parliament, it must be conveyed to every electorate not by issuing a Gazette Notice but by a Printed Notice issued by the Government Agent in every district. Sampathan:ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  their requests needs amending the SL Constitution and it cannot by the President alone, also It cannot be done to satisfy a small group of Tamils, some of who are not even elected representatives of that small Tamil community. Richard Armitage and Solhiem must get the same message if they ever contact the president regarding changes to Constitution.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This type of requests to change the constitution cannot be stopped, but they can be controlled. Today there is no law to stop a Tamil TNA MP representing Tamil Nadu, to visit countries where a large number of Tamils who oppose the SL constitution and the Rajapaksa Administration, to lobby their elected members in respective countries, and take action to restrict commercial activities and slow or stop funding for infrastructure development. This should be a high priority item to pass a law that: ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Registers a MP who represents a foreign countryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. This is normal procedure in USA. If there was such a law, S. Sritharan and Maval Senadhiraj could have been persecuted for what they said at the LTTE meeting in London, the derogatory remarks about the Sri Lankan Army regarding the LTTE widows. The only way today to question them is by a directive from the defense secretary.
