CANADA’S FOREIGN MINISTER CALLS ON HEAD OF AHMADIYYA MUSLIM JAMAAT IN LONDON
Posted on January 26th, 2012
By A. Abdul Aziz, Press Secretary, Ahmadiyya Muslim JamaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢at, Sri Lanka.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ According to our Press Department, U.K., on Tuesday (24th January 2012), CanadaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Foreign Minister, John Baird MP, visited the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (JamaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢at), Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad at the Fazl Mosque in London. His Excellency, Gordon Campbell, the Canadian High Commissioner to the UK and other members of staff were also present at the meeting which lasted around forty minutes.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ During the meeting, the Foreign Minister mentioned how the Canadian Government was in the process of setting up an ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Office of Religious FreedomƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ and sought the views of His Holiness about how such an Office should function. In response, His Holiness explained that Islam taught that every person should be free to practise his religion openly and without fear of discrimination. He said that irrespective of religious differences, all members of a society should live together with a spirit of unity, peace and tolerance and that this was what the Office of Religious Freedom should strive to achieve throughout the world.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ His Holiness spoke about the persecution faced by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in various countries, most notably in Pakistan. Speaking about the situation there, he said, that quite apart from religious persecution, the communityƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ were deprived also of their basic civic rights. His Holiness said:
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-In Pakistan all Ahmadi Muslims are denied their basic rights. We are unable to call ourselves Muslims or use Islamic terms. My name is Masroor, but in Pakistan if somebody calls me this, then that person can be arrested and punished. Thus such laws that persecute and curtail basic rights must be changed. It is essential that religious views should not impact or interfere with Government policies.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Foreign Minister said that he was very concerned whenever he heard of such matters and it was against such systematic persecution that Canada envisioned the Office of Religious Freedom to act. He said that he believed that where religious freedom existed, there other rights would naturally develop.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ His Holiness also used the meeting to praise Western efforts to promote religious freedom and he said that in particular Canada deserved praise for this. He said that the efforts of the Canadian government to promote integration and religious tolerance had led to the Fourth Khalifa of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat to once remark that he hoped the entire world would become like Canada. In response the Foreign Minister said that Canada truly valued the benefits of having a relatively open immigration system.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ His Holiness mentioned that when he last visited Canada in 2008, he was very grateful that Prime Minister Stephen Harper attended the opening of the Ahmadiyya Muslim JamaatƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s new mosque in Calgary and indeed the Prime Minister even delayed his departure for an international summit in Japan so that he could take part in the event.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ His Holiness also informed the Foreign Minister that the Holy QurƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢an taught respect for all religions to such an extent that Muslims have been ordered to not only protect their own mosques but to protect all places of worship, whether they be churches, synagogues or temples.

Devinda Fernando!
1. No where does the Holy Qur`an promote violence or hatred against anyone.
2. All the verses you are quoting, are being presented out of the context.
3. Holy Qur`an categorically explains that any act of violence against any innocent person is a crime committed against the entire humanity.
4. Islam believes that everyone is created equal in the sight of God the Almighty, Men, Women, Muslims and Non-Muslims alike.
5. The Holy Qur`an teaches to protect the worship places of all the religions. 22:41.
6. Holy Qur`an does not say that the Jews became apes. Holy Qur`an says that those Jews who repeatedly rejected the prophets of God the Almighty, have become like apes. Holy Qur`an is not mentioning of every single jewish person, but only of those who reject the prophets of God. You should see what the Bible itself says about such people who rejected the true prophets of God.
7. Holy Quran does not say that simply because Christians are Christians they will be burned in fire. Everyone would have to answer before Lord the Almighty for their own evil doings. IF anyone has committed any crime, they will be answerable for it.
8. Why does the Holy Quran say that Jews and Christians should believe in the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)? It does so because the Old Testament and the New Testament are filled with numerous prophecies about the coming of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Old Testament refered to him as the “like of Moses”. The New Testament referred to him as the “Comforter” also translated as “Ahmad” one of the attributes of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
9. Those who do good deeds shall receive their due reward from the Almighty. God does not let any good done by anyone go in vain. 99:8
10. Intermarriage is not forbidden. Although, the precedence is given to one’s own community as it is best for numerous reasons.
11. Holy Qur`an does not say that every Jew and Christian is perversed. It only refers to those who reject the prophets of God and then raise arms against the innocent people.
12. Muslims at the time of Holy Prophet (PBUH) were given the permission to defend themselves. They were thrown out of their own homes because they said GOD is ONE. They were murdered, beaten, and looted because they said GOD is ONE. When the persecution reached extreme levels, Muslims were given the permission to defend, but even then, they first migrated and then faced their enemies.
13. Holy Qur`an does not say to kill people and keep on mutilating them until they have become Muslims. Holy Quran categorically denies this by saying, “There is no compulsion in the matters of faith”. 2:257
Do not quote the Holy Qur`an out of the context. Show respect to earn respect. Peace.
“Love for all, Hatred for none”

First of all, Taqiyyah is a Shia concept, and the rest of the Muslim world does not practise it. Secondly, it is not lying for to deceive others about your faith. It is specifically in those situations where your life is in danger it is the principle of hiding your faith to save your life. I am sure you also would hide your views if in a situation where your life is in danger. The Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s life was most certainly not in danger when speaking to MP John Baird, and he told the truth. Truthfulness is a good deed in Islam, and lying is considered the root of all sins. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was known as al-Sadiq (the truthful one) even before declaring that he was a Prophet.
Also, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the group of whom the Worldwide Head is referred to in this article, believes in “Love for All, Hatred for None” and we are known throughout the West as well as around the world as peaceful, progressive Muslims.
In addition, you sadly have been mistaken and hear the views of prejudiced anti-Islamists. Please bear in mind that Muslims and extremist Islamists are 2 different things. They do not reflect the peaceful views espoused by the Qur’an and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
All 25 verses quoted by you, friend, are quoted out of context. If you read the Qur’an with commentary, and read the entire verse along with the verses before and after it, you will see the reality behind such verses, which are oft-quoted out of context to discredit Islam. You may read the commentary of any verse of the Qur’an here: http://www.alislam.org/quran/tafseer/guide.htm?region=EN
In regards to what the Qur’an really says, it says that:
“There should be no compulsion in religion.” (2:257)
Also, the Qur’an in various places says that the ONLY situation in which you are allowed to physically fight, is to defend your life from people who are first aggressors against you. For example, if you are protecting your house or place of worship from people who wish to kill you and those you love, you are allowed to defend yourself. That is the ONLY time fighting is allowed in Islam. The terrorists and extremists of today totally contravene the laws of the Qur’an and are acting in complete disobedience and antagonism to it.
Please note:
“Permission to fight is given to those against whom war is made, because they have been wronged — and Allah indeed has power to help them.” (22:40)
Also, the Qur’an instructs all Muslims to safeguard and protect ALL places of worship including not only mosques but also churches, synagogues, and temples. In the verse following the one above it says:
“Those who have been driven out from their homes unjustly only because they said, ‘Our Lord is God’ — And if God did not repel some men by means of others, there would surely have been pulled down temples and churches and synagogues and mosques, wherein the name of God is often remembered. And God will surely help one who helps Him. God is indeed Powerful, Mighty.” [22:41]
These are not simply statements, but every single Ahmadi Muslim amongst the tens of millions of us that exist in over 200 countries around the world believe in peace with tongue, heart, and spirit, and strive for peace. These are the fruits of our faith. You may contact an Ahmadiyya Muslim Community near you and find out for yourself.

Peace be upon you.

This has become a Islamic pig sty.
Unless this bad trend is stopped, it will be very bad.
I see nothing good in Islam. It is only violence, dogma, dirt and terrorism. Muslim commentators are no better.
No wonder all their countries are hells.
There won’t be any third world war. All superpowers want Islamic terrorists to die. Iran doesn’t have any friends. Everyone will get together and destroy Iran, then Syria, then Saudi. Pakistan, Libya, Egypt done.
Russia and China are also eyeing Iranian oil reserves. That is enough for them to cover their defence budget. A win win situation for all superpowers. Islam will lose. All the others win.
