GENEVA UNHRC: US-EU flutists and Indian cobra dance
Posted on March 20th, 2012

What the world is made to watch is a scene of US-EU flute blowers and the Indian Sikh cobra (called our ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”relationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢) now come in to the open, twisting and turning to the tune, in a dance akin to that of SalomeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s seven veils. The only difference being that the Sikh has so little to shed and only his disgrace to display.
History it is said repeats itself first as a tragedy and then as a farce. The Geneva Resolution it would now appear, is a re-enactment in its aspect of a farce, of the tragedy that was the Indian intervention leading to the Indo-Lanka Accord, the 13th Amendment, the induction of the IPKF, and its aftermath.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In the tragic episode India was the main actor. It acted against every conceivable notion of justice and morality. First came the encounter on the high seas. Then with despicable high-handedness, Rajiv Gandhi, newly enthroned over the ashes of his mother, laid down the rule of the engagement. He invaded our air-spaces with his combat aircraft and delivered, as an Indian would typically do, a few bags of parippu, dropped from the sky on LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s northern territory.
That this action was in total violation of international law and morality did not bother him. He did it with the consent and connivance of the white powers, the USA and the EU. Yanky DickyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s pleas to Uncle Sam fell on deaf ears. Uncle Sam told him: no friendships here (if only our law professor remembered!), only interests, even if morality and law have to be trod under foot. These words are echoed by the turbaned Sikh of the clan that killed RajivƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s mother, after she desecrated their temple with their own blood.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Did not our volatile Foreign Minister think it appropriate to call India our ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”relativeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢? If you have a bit of shame, get out of the stage and hide your face, man. Yesterday the turbaned tormentor decided to also play the terminator. He rose to his shaky feet in the Lok Sabha and uttered his mouthful of wisdom: about feeling inclined to vote for the anti-Sri Lanka resolution. It is no secret to Sri Lankans that when the tail of Sakkili Tamil Nadu wags, the head that is the Central Government of India is shaken to nodding gestures.
The 13th amendment was the outcome of the international plot against Sri Lanka led by the Indians, and seconded by the whites. Sri Lanka was left bereft of every remedy against this act of naked and brutal force that was the Indian invasion, outside the ambit of international legal and moral jurisdictions. There was no door on which we could knock for redress. The outcome of that intervention however went far beyond even what Rajiv in his diabolical arrogance could have foreseen. The IPKF came and took charge of the north and east and ravaged it as only the dregs of humanity that is a marauding army could. They robbed, raped and plundered at will. The 13th Amendment was pushed down the throat of J.R.J. and became a dubious law. And then what? Ah yes! And then what? Then everything went wrong. Rajiv was blasted into smithereens in the heart of Tamil Nadu by the very people he was trying to placate. The IPKF left in disgrace, tails between their legs. As for the 13th amendment, its stench is worse than that of a cesspit. Only the Indians used to the smell of urine and excreta in every street corner can put up with it.
Now there is the Resolution in Geneva, initiated by the USA and its white partners in crime. And who should be seconding it? Our ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”relativeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ India. The scenario and the location are different, but the actors and the stage set-up are very much the same. What they are trying to push down Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s throat is that famous resolution calling for self-rule for the Tamils according to the whims and fancies of the diaspora. Here too, everything is done in a manner abhorrent to rationality and morality. The hands that hold the balance of justice in our regard is reeking with the blood of the innocent, practically everywhere around the globe.
Yet the proof of every pudding is in the eating. The 13th Amendment was vomited and purged through both ends of the Lankan body and came to naught. The present resolution is being forced on Sri Lanka with as much fanfare and trumpets as was the fly past of dhal powered MIGS in our air space. Yet what is not palatable to the country and not digestible will be vomited and purged, and once again end up in the sewer. The US, EU and India can set up a control mechanism to keep their eyes and noses plugged to the two orifices through which the purging will eventually occur. This is what those nations do to cover their own stench. They introduce their noses into the arsholes of others
President Premadasa told the IPKF: Gentlemen, now enough with your peace. President Rajapakse must now rise up and tell the very same perpetrators: Gentleman now enough with your justice and reconciliation. No law can be passed by-passing Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s parliament. No Darusman sits there, No C.R.de Silva either. No resolution imposed on the Sri Lankan nation will make head-way. The matters pertaining to the citizens of Sri Lanka are matters for Sri Lanka and its lawfully elected representatives. They are also matters for the Maha Sangha, guardian deities of our motherland.
The voting in Geneva is of no consequence to Sri Lanka and its people. The US-EU coalition is helpless as regards greater problems that beset them. North Korea and Iran with thriving atomic plants have exposed their bluff and are pointing thumbs up their noses. Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan and Syria have become right-offs. Their touch is not that of Midas, but leads to wrack and ruin. We have no nuclear cachets, no weapons of mass destruction! We have no gulags and no Guantanamo prison complexes, no Abu Grahbi or whatever. No soldier ventures out in the night to massacre women and children in a show of wanton disdain for human life, returning to base as if nothing had been the matter.
The only good thing about the UNHRC vote will be clear evidence of who our friends are. The naked fakir cobra, dancing to the tune of white flutists was never Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s friend.
Whatever Geneva decides to say
No cause should be for joy or dismay
The white flutists will continue to play
The Indian cobras will not cease to sway.
This country will never succumb
To the vile plot of that dastard scum
Sri Lanka knows what needs be done
Whatever be the final outcome

At last real Sinhala contributors to thie site has woken up.
I have repeatedly brought up the issue of what India is up to when it comes to Indian Empire that was the British-Indian Empire. Thanks Lankaweb as my letters to news papers, comments and posts to websites and representations to local politicians are never taken. In the mid of 1980s my representations were taken up by great leaders like Hon Lalith Athulath Mudali and Hon R Premadasa who were killed by the Indian Tamil terrorist outfit.
Latest Indian actions gives us a clear platform to stand up to Indian colonial parasites and Indian Imperialists ( Indiyanu jadawadaya).
India is the biggest buyer of armaments in the world in the past five years.
India has enough resources to invade the island nation and intall an Indian regime within the Island with Indian colonial parasites in the island. In this scenario Indian colonial parasites will govern most of the island and a small area in the south will be governed by Sinhalese socialists like the JVPiers and some UNPiers.
It is a chilling idea for the non-Indians in the island. But this is what I know for a long time. I learned this from Indians in the West like UK, Australia and from Indian colonial parasites from Singapore, Malaysia and Fiji.
We should not only liberate ourseleves from Indian imperialists but lead the freedom of all other victims of Indian colonialism and imperialism.

Yes. We already started by knocking out India from Aisa Cup.
Stop the Bajaaj.
Stop the Nano.
Stop the Ashoks
Stop buying from IOC.
Stop teaching Tamil to Sinhala kids.
Start teaching Chinese to Sinhala kids.
Unite China, Bangladesh, Burma and Nepal – Sri lanka should take the lead.

Bladdy Indian are Sri Lankan historical enemy. They were never ever our “relations”
Indian, USA & all others who are talking about a resolution against SL had forgotten that LTTE is the ONLY terrorist organization that killed some other county head of state in their own soil. No other terrorists organization had ever killed so many head of states and Ministers, politicians and their own people.
Bladdy indians have forgotten over 20,000 Indian soldiers were maimed or disabled by the LTTE during the IPKF missions few thousands soldiers were killed and buried in Indian soil as remembers

Dear Mario Perera!
Very thorough & concise article which most sri Lankans knew, & hope they all concur with your analysis. They (Indians) want more, a causeway or canal to cut joining Sri lanka with India, Power cable under sea, Indian Fisheremen can come & go as they please, poaching our fish stocks, delivering UNWORKABLE Railway engines, inferior drugs eyc., the list goes on.
Why? because our leaders & some businessmen run to India for a slightest problem as Indians have an answer. How we dispise them was shown when late Prime Minister of India at the guard of honour inspection, lone soldier attacked Rajiv Ghandi with his rifle.
Since then much has happened, now Indians want more OIL Exploration blocks in Sri lankan waters. It will never end so its time to say NO and take a stand & if they fold their businesses and leave, sooner the better.
Interference in the affairs of a Sovereign nation should be made a CRIME. There are so many in the so called Int. Community(mainly India) who wants to involve in day to day running of our country. Another draw back is that unlike Indians who are so national minded, very few in sri lanka have the same nationalism portrayed at any time by Sri lankans towards their Motherland.
Thanks you Mario for this valuable contribution. I feel others will join you & start a campaign to restrict Indian businesses & other Immigrants from infiltrating our country.
Just expressing my views as an expat who still loves Sri lanka. “One naton, indivisible, under ONE leader, free & proud of it” ~Gamunu, retd engr-CANADA

Mario, I think there’s a small mistake here :
“Did not our volatile Foreign Minister think it appropriate to call India our ‘relative’? If you have a bit of shame, get out of the stage and hide your face, man”.
It was the President who called India ‘relative’ not the foreign minister.

Thank you Fran,
But this is what the Daily News reported on Friday, 20th January, 2012 under the caption:
Indo-Lanka ties reach new heights
External Affairs Minister Prof G L Peiris said that the spontaneous attendance by his Indian counterpart S M Krishna soon after his arrival in Colombo at the Thaipongal ceremony on the invitation of President Mahinda Rajapaksa emphasized that the relations between the two countries is not just a relationship among friends but among close relatives which was exemplified vividly on this occasion.

Mario we all have the same feeling towards those Kallathoniyas. They are not our relatives nor our friends today, tomorrow or in the future. They created the Monster Prabakaran and at last they helped to send him to hell now they want to destroy our freedom. I hope President will have guts to tell the Indians straight to their face”mind your own business” All Gandhis met their end same like Velupillai Prabakaran no difference. Some liked, some hated them.
Many of our Sri Lankans dont like India getting closer to our country and poking their fingers on our affairs. I cannot understand why this Govt.cannot understand the danger we will be facing in the future if we allow these Golubellas to come in thousands to study, open businesses, do projects etc. We Sinhalese need a nation to call home.To live freely. This is our land a SINHALA LAND and anyone wants to live as friends or neighbours they can live as Sri Lankans not as Muslims,Tamils in different areas called their areas. We have to change all Suddage(white man) laws and re-write according to our taste and needs. The Govt has two third majority to get rid of traitors and those who were looking to harm our tiny nation. Stop blood sucking NGO’s same like Gota did during the last days of war. They are poison to our society. Banned local NGO’s who works against the country they were born. Now that we have won the war we must have freedom to live as free people in our homeland without any harassment from dirty power hungry evil humans and Governments around us.
Clean up the gem of a land called SRI LANKA and allow us Sinhalese to live in our own homeland free as ever with our brothers and sisters of other races Tamils,Muslims,Burger and Malays who were born to this beautiful nation as SRI LANKANS. Great Stan and Indian Cobra can kiss their A….. WE THE LIONS WILL ROAR LOUDER AND LOUDER as the King of the jungle after sending the Tiger to hell.

Now that Indian elites that rule in New Delhi are showing their true colours as enemies of Sri Lanka and heirs of the British Empire imperialists, its time for our “cultural purists” (mostly Sinhalese traditionalists) to open their eyes. This message is going to annoy all those cultural purists – I dont care. Every culture and every culture evolves over the centuries. Successful, dynamic cultures absorb the best aspects of other cultures, including invaders cultures and adapt them to local conditions and make them their own. Its the same with language. We can be proud that we have so much cultural diversity and tolerance in such a small country, one of the most diverse in Asia. A whole lot of diverse cultures from around the world have influenced our culture yet it seems the (mostly Sinhala) “cultural purists” want to purge all influences from our language and culture that are not HINDIAN or INDO-GANGETIC. Are these people MAD?!! We dont need Indians to commit cultural genocide and enslave us when these purists (mostly Sinhalese traditionalists) are doing it to all of us! The sitar, tabla and harmonium are no more Sri Lankan than the baila and the rebana. The sari and dhoti/veshti is no more Sri Lankan than the reda-hatta, lyongi (lungi) and the sarong. Prakrit/Sanskrit is no more Sri Lankan than Ceylon evolved English (Singhlish) traditional Vedda language or Sri Lanka Tamil dialect or Bahasa Meleyu Sri Lanka etc, the Tandoori curry/Korma/buriani is no more Sri Lankan than vattalapam, kawum, koekis, lumprais, mas pan, dodol, rambutan, del (breadfruit) etc. The latter are ALL non-Indian. Traditionalist Fools (mostly Sinhala) wake up! Accept ALL cultural influences and hybridizations that have influenced us over the years. Its what makes us unique and not HINDIAN. Open up to more influences in the future to further differentiate from HINDIA. Teach other major world and regional non-Indian and non-English languages like Chinese, Arabic, Farsi, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Thai, Indonesian etc to our children.

Mario, I had no idea that the Minister for Foreign Affairs had made this statement. I first heard the same ‘relative’ parallel when Pres. Rajapakse said so. My apologies.

Indian stand, a game-changer at Geneva?
As the deadline approaches for a possible vote on the U.S.-backed resolution against Sri Lanka at the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, diplomats following the developments concede that Sri Lanka was putting up a tough fight.
The Indian change of stance on single-country resolutions had made a few countries look favourably at the resolutions, said diplomatic sources in Colombo and Geneva.
Earlier this week, it appeared that Sri Lanka had considerable support in the Council of 47 nations. Sri Lanka had lobbied hard to get at least 18 countries on its side as of Monday. Many of these countries did not go into the present case per se, but were more bothered of the torch of inquiry turning in their direction at some later date. There were at least 10 nations in the undecided category. The Indian stand seemed to have made some of the 10 countries re-think. Plus, the U.S. has put in additional resources on Ground Zero in Geneva, and has been working overtime to persuade the fence sitters. “The Indian Prime Minister’s statement will make other countries think carefully about their positions,” said a Western diplomat.
The U.S. has maintained that the resolution expresses the international community’s concern about the delays in implementation of the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Committee report and called for action on important steps towards reconciliation and accountability. Sri Lanka says the resolution is against it. “Against is the operative word,” said Bandula Jayasekara, President’s spokesperson.
PROTESTS
Sri Lanka also continued to witness protests outside the Indian High Commission. On Wednesday, it was the turn of monks and Tamil fishermen to put pressure on India.
Buddhist monks, who said they belonged to the ‘National Sangha Council,’ marched to the High Commission demanding that India should not support the proposed U.S. led resolution against Sri Lanka at the UN Human Rights Council.
The monks, supported by the ultra nationalist JHU, carried a banner which read “Leaders of India — do not break the long standing friendship between Sri Lanka and India by supporting U.S. resolution”. The JHU is a constituent of the UPFA, Sri Lanka’s ruling alliance.
A group of Tamil fishermen from the Northern Province also marched to the High Commission. The ‘United Tamils of Sri Lanka’ members held a demonstration in front of the High Commission and urged India “not to do anything which will affect their livelihood and harmony”. Both groups handed over separate memoranda to Deputy High Commissioner P. Kumaran.
CAUTION
The High Commission posted a ‘Consular Notice for Indian Nationals’ in its Facebook site to “inform all Indian nationals in Sri Lanka” of the “mechanism has been put in place to address their grievances and contingency situations.” Indian nationals have also been requested to register online on the HCI, Colombo website http://www.hcicolombo.org.

Are they trying to do another parippu operation?
What is the “CONTINGENCY”?
Looks like India is going to something MAJOR against SL that India has a contingency operation against SL to be launched IN SL to “address the grievances of Indian nationals in SL”.
This is bloody dangerous.

Before 1991, India was socialist anf Pro-USSR. At that time Pro-American JRJ scared India. Most probably, USSR influenced India too. So, what ever happened those days happened because of that influence.
Some how, LTTE’s luck changed as LTTE killed Rajiv Gandhi. But,his wife was at the top.
Now, Indian govt has to be cautious it’s own existence as Tamilnad lives on Racist politics.
So, the dynamics have changed and Sri Lanka has to manouever carefully.

Many thanks to Mario and all others for their positive comments. Knowing who our enemies are we need a Plan “B” a key component of which has to include moving away from India and her commercial links with SL including further prospecting for Oil & Gas in SL waters. Everyone including those in every country abroad should be reminded that SL is a democracy with a fully elected Parliament and despite any shortcomings it is certainly not a ‘Banana Republic’. Therefore it has the power with a majority greater than 2/3 to change the Laws of the Land. Such a majority vote to modify / reject some aspects of the 13A as not relevant on a document which was drafted over 20 years ago under duress is clearly possible. I doubt very much if a vote with such a majority in the SL Parliament can be overturned by the UNHRC or even the UN!! So there you have the ‘Road Map’ and let’s get ready to move on this road if all reasonable requests to India fail. (Barristers who know better please correct me) – S de Silva – London
March 22nd, 2012 at 1:07 am
Just to add to what I have written earlier it has to be pointed out that an ALTERNATIVE to blindly accepting 13A (which I believe was not INITIALLY cleared by the SL Parliament) is to make it the subject of a specific REFERENDUM to decide whether the existing 13A terms are to be accepted or changed,,S de Silva -London
