Curry night 2012.

The inaugural fund raising event organised by the Alba Asia Network was a resounding success. It was a complete sell out with over 120 participants, held at Cathcart Bowling Club on 27th April,2012.
The Sri Lankan food prepared by Suneth, ably assisted by friends of Alba Asia Network, was delicious. The overwhelming verdict from all present was to hold many more Curry nights.
The memorable event concluded with a raffle, followed by a disco. Dancing continued into the early hours of the morning.
Alba Asia Network is an umbrella group, with two members-ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the Friends of Ceylon and Friends of Vatsalya (Scotland). Both members are committed to raisingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ awareness of and funds for the plight of street children in the respective countries: They will continue to do this and hostƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ events that raise funds and also bring people from Scotland, Sri Lanka ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ together in a variety of ways.
