GOOD ADVISE TO THE BRITISH PEOPLE ON THE FACE OF REBEL ATTACKS

Dear Editor,
Rankin, the British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka is giving good advice to the Lankan nation, as it has been the habit of all the predecessors occupying this office.
The colonials conveniently forgot their own history, so we have to keep reminding them of their notorious antics in the past!
These are the chaps who brought the semi slave Indian coolies to Asian countries and exploited them mercilessly and mostly muderously. How can we ever forget how the white Europeans sent the Jews and Gypsies to gas chambers?
Indeed ethnic cleansing pogroms were a standard thing in their culture not natural to the Buddhist cultures.
It is my belief that we should periodically re-pack their ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”goodƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ advice; and send it back to them with our compliments so they are able to use their own advice when the next war of ethnic cleansing occurs in Europe.
Why is these British numskulls, never ever give such cheap advice to Muslims; because they would get their ass kicked! ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Such advice is left to be given exclusively to the tolerant Buddhists. Why? Because tolerance is a weakness for the Judeo Christian S.O.B.
Indeed I was so concerned when the British had a terror attack on 07 2007; that I packed and sent such appropriate advice andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ sent it over to British High Commissioner, of the time, Mr. Dominic Chilcott, so they could use such empty retoric in those harrowing times.
See thats how kind I am to the British! Now we have to just sit back and enjoy!

GOOD ADVISE TO THE BRITISH PEOPLE ON THE FACE OF REBEL ATTACKS
We were shocked by the rebel attack on the British citizens. Not really shocked by the attack in itself (soon the British people should learn to live with such things), in fact the real surprise came within minutes of the onslaught, when without any ‘how do you do’ these rebels were elevated to the status of ‘terrorist’ by your media. Didn’t you know that these were rebels pure and simple?
Congratulations for not losing any British life? Still your media was howling blue murder as if this was an act of pure genocide. In fact your media crowed over the manner how British man on the street was keeping a stiff upper lip on the face of unmitigated terror and going stoutly about his business with courage and dignity as if nothing has taken place. That was truly commendable I thought.
In fact I was touched by the suffering caused by the offensive on your precious mother land that I am taking the liberty of giving some timely advice. Well not really advice devised on my own; heavens forbid that I have such deep insight and wisdom to be creative. Besides I am not good at giving free advice or a moral. But I thought I will do the next best thing. I would pack some of the cheap advice offered to Sri Lankans the last two and a half decades from the wise men of your fair land, and return it back to you with compliments. It should help a lot, especially if you are with amnesia or Alzheimer.
Routinely over the past years we received some sound advice from your High Commissioners in Colombo. Indeed your current High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Mr. Dominic Chilcott maintained the good tradition and was quite vocal with his cheap advice as how to solve our problems. We thought now it’s time the good all British ‘know how’ come in handy to your selves, now that you are bogged down with rebel problems of your own.
In the course of his speech to Sri Lankans; Chilcott announced that “Britain’s interest in Sri Lanka is to strengthen respect for human rights and good governance, the war strategy is doomed to fail; only negotiations could usher in lasting peace, the Tamil community has been discriminated, and power should be devolved”.
Now if you simply interchange Britain and Sri Lanka from the above quote, the British parliament would be able use this unique piece of insight as how to tackle your own current dilemma.
Indeed we find Britain just a few days ago directing its former colony Sri Lanka to “end its military campaign and resume peace talks with separatist Tamil Tiger guerrillas. Junior foreign minister, Kim Howells, said in London he was worried about growing rights abuses and an escalation in the conflict, which has left scores of combatants dead on both sides”.
In fact I was reflecting why is it that Britain unable to use such first class analysts such as Howells’ and Chilcott’s to negotiate with these rebels in Afghanistan and Iraq instead of bumping them off left right and centre, after all these rebels have not invaded UK soil. Here we are speaking of your home grown rebels who didn’t take kindly to been pushed around.
The sad thing is; the terrorist Mr. chilots and his predecessors asking us to negotiate with are killers of Prime Minsters, Presidents, temple worshipers and innocent passengers of buses. Indeed these are the mass murderers who bombed a Central Bank of Ceylon killing thousands long before 9/11 was conceived. British government was adamant that we now speak to butchers who murdered over 700 police under their detention in the raw, the ones who were practicing genocide of Muslims, Sinhalese and in fact Hindu Tamils from the East routinely. Now it is not merely ethnic cleansing with them but it has grown over to tribal cleansing.
Though we are offered advice how to negotiate with these out and out, fascistic murderers of thousands, we find it sad that Britain is unable to talk with rebels who had hardly bumped off anyone by comparison.
The world was naturally amused because you own such wise men with deep insight, and who were very adept at providing good advice as how negotiate with terrorists, but found such advice useless to use at home.
From prospective we realise why you own such double standards; for over two decades we find you practiced a dual policy of terrorism. One went by a, ‘LTTE Jaffna Tamil Catholic terrorists’ were not really terrorists but rebels, and a democratic nation can legitimately negotiate with them as equal partners. On the other hand the Islamist terrorists were ‘terrorists’ and needed to be exterminated with impunity. This covert policy we feel was put in place to reward the Jaffna Tamil Catholic accomplices for the services rendered, when Ceylon was raped by Europeans for over four hundred and fifty years. So for decades surreptitiously, you allowed LTTE terrorist to operate freely on UK soil and let them collect funds for their terror campaigns, all the while providing them with legitimacy and respectability. You may be under the illusion that you are hoodwinking the world at large by a ‘Performa declaration’ that LTTE is a terror organization. But alas’ now you find you have cheated yourself, not the world at large.
No wonder President Rajapaksa of Sri Lanka was mockingly sympathetic to UK’s plight and was moved the other day to comment;
“With our own commitment to peace and democracy, and determination not to kneel before terrorism, we shall be extremely vigilant about any terrorist activities planned or attempted in Sri Lanka against Britain and the British people”.
For those who are daft and unable to decipher his obvious message, he was clearly insulting you for whimpering like pussies, when no one has been killed. What he in fact was hinting at was, his people stood up 10 feet tall after two and half decades of terror on a daily basis. They did not merely learned to live with Catholic terrorist but humbly absorbed the cheap advice dished out to them using ‘strong arm’ tactics by the old colonials such as you. So the crocodile tears of Howells and Chilcotts are like ‘pouring water on a ducks back’ on Sri Lankans, it simply tickles away.
So stop being cry babies and start negotiating with your rebels. They are fighting for their right as you have discriminated them. Sooner you start negotiating with them the better. In fact in this way you can set a good example to these Sinhalese Buddhist chauvinists at the same time.
There is moral here somewhere and I have a feeling that it must be ‘what goes around comes around’.
Soon you will find out that cheap advise is ‘dime a dozen’.

If he has 2 cents worth of shame, imbecile John Rankin might already be regretting what he said big time. All major newspapers utterly condemned his statement excluding of course the Sunday Leader.

“So stop being cry babies and start negotiating with your rebels.”
Lol!
And they are taking a HEAVY BEATING in Afghanistan.

Two questions for HC Rankin: Could he tell us why British forces still hang on in the Argentinean claimed Malvinas decades after winning their war there? In how many places all over the world to date British forces stay on in lands outside British Isles against the wishes of natives? “Physician heal thyself!”
Though it is none of his business, if Rankin means to say demilitarise the north by sending the army to ‘barracks’ and assign police to take over security issues, we have nothing against it. But if Rankin means to say withdraw our forces from the north, then we say ‘the north’ is a part of Sri Lanka and buzz off. Anyway, the question then is; whether the overall situation has reached the stage to send the army to barracks yet. See, on the one hand, BTF, TGTE and etc vow to pursue with their long cherished Eelam project and their local agent TNA demands the merger of north and east, and over 10,000 trained LTTE cadres have just being resettled or on the loose, and buried arm catches are unearthed almost daily. So, what is important is; ordinary people in Sri Lanka accept it for they understand that unless armed forces are vigilant, separatists could change prevailing peace to mayhem soon.
Rankin is an ace hypocrites and just a tool of the so called clique in the International Community (IC). They have different game plans for our country in their mind; and Tamils are mere tools in that. But both of them fit each other well to reach their goals. So long as we are united and understand it this country is safe.

1. So Tamil nationalists and the colonials are together.
2. They are SL’s enemies.
3. Who are the enemies of colonials?
4. Our enemies’ enemy is our friend.
5. We have to use colonials’ enemies AGAINST Tamil nationalists. Pit them against Tamil nationalists as well. This can be done.
I’m not alone in saying this. GREAT PATRIOT Paul Harris said the SAME thing.
Ultimately this is the conclusion. No matter where you start you conclude here.

Lorenzo,
“We have to use colonials’ enemies AGAINST Tamil nationalists. Pit them against Tamil nationalists as well. This can be done.”
Who are the enemies of colonialists that we can use against Tamil nationalists?
May 28th, 2012 at 2:14 pm
Geeth,
Progressive forces in colonial countries who are AGAINST neo colonialism.
Other nations that are against WESTERN colonialism.
Events and elements within western friendly countries (e.g. India) that are against western colonialism.
Things that SPLIT Tamils against the west which the west LOVES but Tamil nationalists HATE (e.g. “globalization” rather westernization of the culture in north)
May 28th, 2012 at 10:40 pm
Lorenzo,
Thanks.
But how can you envision any strategy, when our administration seems to have no strategy at all? Don’t you know that our foreign minister himself is a Tamil nationalist, if not endorsed Tamil nationalism for last two decades? Like US Vice-president Biden once said “you do not have to be a Jew to be a good Zionist.” Likewise, our foreign minister has proved that one doesn’t have to be a Tamil to be a good Elamist. People will never forget that he was in the top among the responsible of further internationalization of our national issue.
Tamil nationalism has been maintained within our polity in the south. Take Dr. Jayalath Jayawardene. Isn’t he a good Ealamist? Take Ranil. Evaluate all his activities and major political contributions during last two decades? What can you see? Is he a nationalist or a Tamil nationalist?
I agree with you. SL needs to have a proper agency to undertake some specific tasks. It needs a state of the art espionage agency that can match CIA, RAW, M16 or anything to tackle the threat she is facing today. But our administration doesn’t have required discipline to undertake such complex task. Wrong advisors, conflict of interests of different agendas of well known ‘Kevattayas’ have made the current administration to go from bad to worse like jumping from vinegar bath to acid bath seeking for solutions.

Geeth,
I agree with you almost completely except for GLP. GLP is not a Tamil nationalist. He is no patriot but he has never promoted Tamil nationalism or Tamil racism. His IMPRACTICAL solutions are legendary. He called Anton Balla your excellency which shows his naiveness.
I agree that without proper direction AND discipline govt will not do even half the things needed to defend the nation.
And our enemies (Tamil nationalists) know it.
May 29th, 2012 at 8:53 am
Lorenzo, I think it was Solheim who addressed Anton Balasingham as “your excellency” and not GLP. To me, GLP is a good public servant who would tow the line of his leader at the time. If he comes under Ranil again then he will start a new chapter all over again, diametrically opposit in views expressed under the current leader rajapakse. That is the GLP I think he is … a public servant loyal to the regime. Today I think he is using his skills to do a good job for Rajapakse.
May 29th, 2012 at 1:51 pm
A. Sooriarachi,
I’m pretty sure it was GLP. Anyway it is not criminal only naive and shameful.
Still he is a good public servant who does what he is told to do. Agree. But if he becomes the master, then he comes up with impractical solutions.
May 29th, 2012 at 7:08 pm
Dear Lorenzo,
The entire reason for us to interrogate GLPs actions is not due to any of his faults as a private citizen or educator, but purely as a politician. Under that search light, your last comment tells it all. It says…”Still he is a good public servant who does what he is told to do. Agree. But if he becomes the master, then he comes up with impractical solutions.” I’ll take that statement as an acknowledgement of GL’s incompetency as a minister handling a very important portfolio. I wonder if this is the right time to have a foreign minister in that caliber.
So who do you think overlooking and supervising his actions in day-today foreign affairs and decision making at this crucial juncture of our history? I do not have any personal problem with him and also I agree that he must be a very nice person. But I can’t help saying that he has failed both as a politician and an intellectual. Let me explain why I say it.
As an intellectual he betrayed his intellectual honesty by endorsing unsubstantiated and unproven claims of Tamil racists’ discrimination charges. Then the greatest betrayal to intellectual honesty came from his acceptance of Traditional homeland theory of separatists while knowing very well that even Tamil scholars such as Indrapalan had trashed such claims as nonsense. These are only two examples to prove his failure as an intellectual. can anyone say that he had never accepted traditional homeland theory and discrimination charges?
Then as a politician he could never envision what was coming along with his actions as a politician advocating “NEAR SEPERATION”. This ‘near separation’ was presented as substitute to separation. I do not think any of us can have forgotten the childish explanations that were given to justify his package and even at the time of PTOM. Don’t forget he played a major role to develop separatist issue going out of hand of the nation. He was continually handling these affairs since post Wijetunga era. He is one of the leading ideologues of Colombian anti-national sub political cult that has been proven to be living in the air.
May 29th, 2012 at 7:23 pm
By the way, to my knowledge, anyone who endorses the bogus traditional homeland theory becomes a Tamil nationalist. GL becomes a Tamil nationalist under that category. To my personal standard, a believer of homeland theory even becomes a terror sympathizer and must be expelled from the parliament to begin with.
May 29th, 2012 at 9:43 pm
Geeth,
OK, I get it. Thanks for going through the trouble of explaining.
However I disagree GLP is a Tamil nationalist. But his action and the ASSUMPTIONS for his actions CERTAINLY FAVOUR Tamil nationalists.
Tamil nationalists know very well they cannot get Tamil Elam on a platter. So they use the “bus halt theory”. Get into a bus that takes them CLOSER to the end. Get down from it when it turns AWAY from the end. Then get into another bus that would take them closer.
Anyone who support it is a TRAITOR (not necessarily a Tamil nationalist). Traitors are ALMOST dangerous as Tamil nationalists! In this sense GLP is a traitor OR a tool in the hands of a bigger traitor who wishes to hide behind him.
e.g. CBK used GLP for package. Ranil used him for CFA.
He went out of his way to promote the package which is a grave matter.
I agree he is totally unsuitable for FM. He lacks conviction, self motivation and practicality. But who do we have? Rajiva Wijeshinge is WORSE! May be Palitha Kohonna who has WORKED in a foreign ministry.
