Felictating Our Saviours at Last!

Thanks to Rajpal AbeynayakaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-columnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ with ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Silly ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬‚ endangered people who donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t look after their own saviours
Opened the path as to how the expatriate Sri Lankan Diaspora with ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-patrioticƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ views should felicitate the local Sri Lankan writers who penned factually accurate articles on defending Mother Lanka’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. At times they risked their life showing the courage and boldness at the height of the conflict period.
I am sure most of us for sometime have been waiting for an opportunity to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-felicitateƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ these brave writers who took the pen as an effective armament to defend oneƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Motherland as in the parable ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Pen is mightier than the SwordƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. Sometimes they were directed to the ruling Government of the day and at times to the leaders of the International Community. Though these articles originated from an insignificant Tiny Island in the Globe or the Map they were facts that a principled person or an Organization could not dispel as nonsense! Therefore they must have accrued the desired effects, nevertheless it is only the action taken by these authors we are interested at this moment!
Rightfully f SPUR of Australia took the task upon himself to go to the Sri Lankan community who is spread right across the Globe giving them the opportunity to express their views on how best to felicitate the deserving writers!
Getting the required funds should not be an issue considering the response that has been shown within this short period.
These writers may belong to different political followings yet they penned only the facts that no one could or would differ to agree with.
Since the end of the three decades of terror in 2009 and after three years of relative (we still observe endless strikesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ and protests on daily basis) Peace and Harmony, itƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s time to pen constructive criticism of the government for the progress of the country. As you would agree thereƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s no way we can tell the executive government to do things the way we want, but one can suggest constructive criticism!
It will be good if such articles too would receive similar recognition one day!

Lankaweb did a GREAT SERVICE to patriotic SLs since 1997.
In my view without any fear or favour.
Long live Lankanweb and SPUR!!
Unfortunately I can’t say the same thing about defence.lk which was used for politics especially when TinTin Fernando was the defence secretary (former rehabilitation secretary!!).

I thought Ben Silva to be a Buddhist, Mareena Thaha should have been used as, who ever asked her to write, we would respect a woman and neglect the crap she writes.

At present, politicians are destroying Sri Lanka as would worms would destroy a wood trunk from within. govt want to blame all the outside forces and they don’t accept any blame for that. That is big concern.
What is happening with Tamils is completely Indian agenda and the govt work according to what India wants.
