WHAT’S GOING ON AT LAKE HOUSE?

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-By way of deception, thou shall wage warƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ – Mossad motto:
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The article in your Daily News on 23 August 2012 should surprise all readers of your grand old newspaper because it has (or had) an irrefutable reputation as a champion of Third World causes. But of late there has been suspicion that you have moved from that much lauded role and have ganged up with those who wish to dominate developing nations by one trick or another. TodayƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s article gives an indication of your shift.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Whilst all countries in the world, especially those in the Non Aligned Movement (NAM), support the just cause of the Palestinians, Sri Lanka, it seems, has moved closer to the Israelis (like India) for reasons that perplex those of us who believe that Sri Lanka is an ardent supporter of the Palestinians. Virtually the entire world voted for the inclusion of Palestine in UNESCO with the obvious exception of the United States of
America, which as you know will do IsraelƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s bidding at any time even if itƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s against the interests of the US, as has been the case more often than not.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Your map of Israel as shown in the article is a real shocker. It includes all of Occupied Palestine and I wonder what the Palestinians, who believe and love Sri Lankans for their support, might think when they see this map in the main English government owned paper.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ When on a recent visit to Occupied Palestine I was overwhelmed by the gratitude the Palestinians showed me because of Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s support for their cause. Indeed I heard the name Bandaranaike more times than I have heard in Sri Lanka in recent times, believe me. And when I saw how the Israelis were treating Palestinian students my heart was at breaking point.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ I saw for myself a school near the Joul Joulon refugee a short distance away from a huge Israeli military compound and was told that often the school had to be closed because Israeli soldiers begin firing at the building to frighten the students and their parents, just for the heck of it. And here we have a nice little article in your Daily News that says five young Sri Lankan scientists along with about 300 students from all over Asia will participate at a conference for young scientists in Jerusalem, which is occupied by Israel. And that too with a map that includes all of ancient Palestine into Israel. Palestine has been wiped off the world, according to this map.
I had accompanied our football team that participated in the Naqba Football tournament and sure enough our players had a few tales to tell of the harassment the Israeli army gave them even though they were in Occupied Palestine. At one point our players were caught up in a traffic jam while on their way to a practice session. When they checked up they found that an Israel armoured vehicle had parked right in the middle of the road just to have a coffee break! Such are the evil ways of the Israeli Zionists. This is what our players saw, with their own eyes, as the saying goes. You can imagine the daily harassments and humiliation the Israelis impose on the Palestinians not on a daily basis but on an hourly basis. You will have to see the apartheid wall and the numerous checkpoints the Israelis have placed all over Occupied Palestine, especially the one at Qalqiliya, for yourself to believe what I am saying. Many pregnant mothers have had their babies there and many patients have died because the Israelis deliberately delay their entrance to other parts of Occupied Palestine. Such is the cruelty the Israelis inflict on a hapless population.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Indeed I handed over two articles to your Daily News with attached photographs I wrote on my reflections while in Palestine but you didnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t publish them. Your sister paper the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Sunday ObserverƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ carried an article some months ago by a Sri Lankan journalist ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”who had just returned from a trip to IsraelƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ as the sub-heading went, praising David Ben Gurion and comparing this terrorist to Mohandas Gandhi. I responded to that ridiculous piece of fiction with facts and figures, but lo and behold, it went unpublished despite much canvassing by phone and by sending quite a few postal reminders. Tell me whatƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s going on at Lake House?
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Israel is losing out in the world in a big way, as was evident at the UNESCO vote with over 120 states voting in favour of Palestine.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Many of those nations who support Palestine are in Asia. ThatƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s why Israel has dramatically shifted its foreign policy to creep into Asia, with India giving it moral and political support. The reason for IsraelƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s shift may be to tap future scientists and leaders for their support in future. Such cells are called Sayani.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ And the fact that AsiaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s economy is booming could also be a contributive factor to this shift in IsraelƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s foreign policy.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Israel has never helped another nation at anytime in its short history. Not even its principal supporter the US. In fact it has spied on the US. In 2001 the US Drug Enforcement Authority (DEA) stumbled on to a plot that revealed Israeli agents were spying on the US under the cover of being art students. I will not harp on the Jonathan Pollard case or IsraelƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s bombing of the USS Liberty for space considerations. But I will pose the question that if the Israelis can do this to America what is it that they wonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t do to us apart from calling us monkeys as stated by Victor Ostrovosky in his book ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”By Way of DeceptionƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢?
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Reverend Ted Pike of the US National Prayer Network which is a conservative Christian organisation in an article titled ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Talmud Encourages Jews to DeceiveƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ says that according to the Talmud ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Jews are called human beings, but non Jews (gentiles ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” goyim) are not human beings. ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”They are beastsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ quoting Baba Mezia 114b of the Talmud. Indeed the Jews say they are the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Chosen People of GodƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ as opposed to those of us gentiles whom ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”godƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ preferred not to choose.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Israel has been declared a racist state by no lesser a person than that wonderful man, Arch Bishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu. Jimmy Carter too called Israel a racist state in his book ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Palestine Peace not ApartheidƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. For those of us who donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t listen to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”un-chosen peopleƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ (untouchables?) and depend entirely on Jews for credibility, then there is a vast choice from among a wonderful group of anti-Zionist Jews. Paul Finklestein and the late Prof. Israel Shahak and Prof Shlomo Sandz and Prof Illan Pappe and Dr. Uri Davis to name just a few among a host of others. Dr. Uri Davis has indeed written a book titled ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Israel an Apartheid StateƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. Moreover a group of Jews calling themselves ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Jews for PeaceƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ (JVP) are very active calling for ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS)ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ of Israel because of its oppression of the Palestinians and, happily, they have had huge success ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ in their efforts. More recently the Presbyterian Church joined the campaign. I was fortunate to meet two of their pastors in Jericho, and believe me when I tell you I saw tears roll down the cheeks of the lady pastor when she recounted the sadness and grief she saw for herself in Occupied Palestine.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ So where does all that leave Sri Lanka and the Daily News and the Sunday Observer? Why are we so crazy about cozying up with this Zionist apartheid state called Israel, which even over 70% of Europeans consider a threat to world peace, according to a recent poll?
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ We know for a fact that Israel aided and abetted the LTTE and yet we want to have normal relations, at embassy level, with this pariah state. We must be crazy or downright stupid. Maybe both.

Hameed,
I fully agree except phrases like “that wonderful man, Arch Bishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu. Jimmy Carter …”
Lanka Web representative is LORENZO. ( Z = Zion).
In fact true Jew religion is full of compassion and love ( more than christianity). So many Jews have become prominent Buddhist monks. They are against murderous Zionists.
However, you should give a thought to “Islamic expansionism in Sri Lanka in the last 30 years” and write a impartial article on that subject too.
This is where the world is in balance now. Zionist going to capture the world soon.

What has happened to sri lanka is what happens to a man that sells his wife. He has no say in the matter. The arabs come they build mosques and encourage extremism, The jews come they manipulate the media and encourage destabilisation, Indians come they infiltrate our economy and build bridges with the tamils to destabilise and control the country, the west does the same. Our rulers fatten their pockets and pretend they are in control. They are not crazy they are looking after themselves, let the country go to hell as long as they can remain in power. This is the plight of Sri Lanka. God save us.

Yes, I do remember them calling sri Lankans…MONKEYS. If I remember right, they were training LTTE Combatants, and Sri Lankan Army personnel simultaneously. I think the LTTE questioned why they were training Army personnel from Sri Lanka, and they said, Oh ! we will give the monkeys a Banana, and they will go away. I stand to be corrected. This was long years back.

SL should stand by Palestine not Israel.
Israel is a US ally.
Does SL have diplomatic relations with Palestine?

LorenZIon,
Just because US ally should we support Palestine ?
Israel is not a US ally but US is a slave to Zoinism which you support.

Message from Neelamahayoda to Nandimitra!
My dear Nandimitra, please don’t sing that same song again and again. Politicians all over the world are the same. They come to power to help themselves and their supporters. There is no doubt about it. If you give power to JVP, that unknown devil be worse than the known devils. Take for example the so called biggest democracy of the world, United States of America, why so many companies and individuals are contributing to campaign funds of Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.Do they expect some thing in return? Certainly, these contributors expect some favours in return. Take for example, Barack Obama, up to last week, managed to raise $348million from small individuals, large individuals, Microsoft, Google, University of California, while Mitt Romney raised $193 million mainly from Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America and Credit Suisse Group.if Mitt Romney wins you know who is running the world economy. So, my dear friend, You will never find a political leader who has different aspiration than this in Sri Lanka. But, We, as bystanders, have to select a better one out of all. If you can remember what has happened with UNP regime in power some years ago, they were the worst ever and they will be the worst. So, Instead of saying it in generalised termed, you have to identified individual cases of corruption and discussed them if you have sufficient proof. But mind you,we don’t want to listen to rumours and gossips.

neelamahayodaya,
corruption may be a acceptable format for you but it is not acceptable to every body. Each individual has the right to protest . So I would very politely tell you to voice your opinion but do not try to stop legitimate protests by others and the format of protest should be decided by the individual concerned. sycophancy unfortunately is a very sri lankan trait.

Nandimitra
When you write “Our rulers fatten their pockets and pretend they are in control” you should be able to substantiate your claim with facts. Otherwise it looks like another hollow statement from a Sri Lankan opposition bootlicker (or sycophant in your words) or LTTE terrorist supporter & as if whinging about the government. This shows your point that sycophancy is a very much of a Sri Lankan trait. By the way, I am not in Sri Lanka.

Most if not all benefactors have to disclose campaign funds to US Presidential candidates (rightly so). Rather bemused if such transparency constitutes corruption.
We see the terms “generalisation”, “substantiation” thrown about at random when one does not even adhere to them accordingly.
The plot is lost.

Neelamahayodaya,
Whom are you trying to fool.
