CALLING ALL SINHALESE-CANADIANS IN THE GREATER TORONTO AREA (GTA), ESPECIALLY IN SCARBOROUGH, MARKHAM AND BRAMPTON.
Today, December 15, 2012, the National Council of Canadian Tamils (NCCT) is rallying at Dundas Square, in downtown Toronto between noon and 3:00 P.M. to call on all Canadians and Americans NOT to buy ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Made in Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ clothing.
Let us show our solidarity for our Mother-Lanka and get the word out to the NCCT clearly and precisely ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Alright then, two can play your shell game.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ You want Canadians and Americans to boycott Sri Lanka made clothing, and we will boycott all Tamil Grocery stores, Take Outs and Restaurants.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ Let them know that our knife cut both ways and not just one way as would theirs.
Let them know that we can survive without their Tamil Kuttu Roti, Thosai, Masala wade, samba rice, bottled pickles and Maldive fish, karapincha, chicken buriyani, you name it, and we donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t want them.
You declare war against Sri Lanka and we declare war against your Tamil people run stores and restaurants.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ And that is how the cookie crumbles with your nastiness towards our Sri Lanka, yours and ours.
IfƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ NCCT wants to normalize the situation, then they shouldƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ send out a Press ReleaseƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ immediately with an apology to Sri Lanka and the Sinhalese community in the Greater Toronto Area, withdrawing their appeal to all Canadians and Americans saying that it was a mistake and an ill-conceived idea.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ We are sorry!
Let NCCT know quite clearly,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ that two can play their war game and that we will do our part for Mother Lanka ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ by boycotting the TamilƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Grocery stores, Take outs and Restaurants in the Grater Toronto Area as well as those across Canada.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

The problem is the ordinary Americans and Ordinary Canadians do not reach- they are like sombies, without taking trouble to raise their voices against the pro-terrorist Tamils in Canada waving tiger flags and manifesting inconveniencing the day to day life in Canada. These people must write to media and speak up against what they do not like. The Tamils if they have accepted Canadian Nationality they should respect their Canadian Nationality .

These Tamil fools are wasting their time. Canadian and American shoppers don’t bother to look at the label to check the country of origin of these garments. They will check the PRICE Tag and buy it or reject it. Any Wal Mart shopper will tell you that.
The Tamil goons are foolishly drawing more attention to themselves and their refujee status and provoking the average
Canadian to treat them with more suspicion and contempt. And why should we buy from Tamil shops when there are
Indian and Chinese and even Price Chopper, No Frills etc stock the same items that were once sold by Tamil grocery stores.

The sad reality is that there are plenty of fools everywhere. The fact that Amnesty International has such a large support
base from ordinary Canadians/Americans, proves this. This protest is an act of war and should be met with an appropriately serious response and the best response is economic. Canada has racial vilification laws. Sri Lankan lawyers where are you? Not bothered? Afraid? Sue them. Send them and their media supporters broke. Think creatively and boldly.
Its not just the Northeast of Sri Lanka that needs more Sinhalese settlers – so does the Greater Toronto Area. Sinhala organizations that make so mych noise in Sri Lanka are mute abroad! They should go global and organise such things. Dont be shy to be conversant in international languages.

GoSL should note the NCCT members and refuse them entry into Sri Lanka. These NCCT type Tamils make use of Canada for freebees and then enter Sri Lanka on holidays to ‘show off westernisation’. Some Tamils show shameless lack of loyalty to countries they live in and use their resources without any feelings of gratitude. Sri Lanka is used as trampoline to Go West, after getting free education & health care here. Then they go abroad and slander Sri Lanka ! Where’s the gratitude for all that is done for some of these Tamils ? They only bring SHAME TO THE ENTIRE TAMIL COMMUNITY. What are other Tamils doing about it ?
Besides, their own Tamil brethren too earn a living in Sri Lanka’s garment industry. Tamil are spitting at their own community back home, for what ?

The name of their game is economic sabotage of Sri Lanka. Once the economy is dealt a blow unemployment and poverty and discontent with the government rises. Then they plan a 2 pronged strategy of ressurecting terrorism in the north coupled with “lower order” (their terminology) Sinhalese revolutionaries in the South (eg JVP) to murder elected politicians and any productive southerners. Filthy filthy vile plot by filthy filthy servile ungrateful shameless people. Why do we keep tolerating their subversive activities abroad? Doesnt your blood boil at this? Lets stop them now.

It is not clear WHY the NCCT has gone to the length of saying not to buy garments made in Sri Lanka. I checked in the internet for the names of the committee members of the NCCT, and some of them appear to be well educated. So this is just howling for no clear reason, is it ?
The Govt. of Ontario (& Canada) should ask these chaps just why they are protesting and howling against Sri Lanka which gives them FREE Education & FREE Health Care, when Canada gives them only Free Health Care.
Or is the NCCT really howling at the Tamil Nadu Caste System and cannot say it ?
NCCT = Rebels without a Cause ! Go to Tamil Nadu and get a modern sanitary system for them through the UN. Set free 95,000 ‘night soil carriers’ there from Caste Bound work.

Fran, they are howling FOR a reason. They are very cunning and scheming and know exactly what they are doing. Their grand plan is to chase some imaginary “dignity” by destroying the rest of us, both home and abroad and of course enrich themselves in the process. I exhort all genuine Sri Lankans with half a brain and self-respect, majority Yakkha community (whether self-aware of their non-Indian Yakkha roots or not), Sinhala-Indian descent-Sri Lankans, Tamil-Indian descent Sri Lankans, etc – whatever your background or language – to open your eyes to the antics of these devils. They are latter day slaves causing division and economic sabotage, for their own kind, so they can enjoy some morsels and status from their neo-colonial masters. It is so sad they have no other vision for ourselves but this! By boycotts and disinvestment, their aim is to take away the jobs, productivity, businnesses, independence, self-reliance and self-respect of all our peoples. They want to reduce us to a state of helplessness so they can parade us like bickering beggars in front of their self-absorbed Eurocentric masters. They earn approximately $300 million a year through their human trafficking, welfare cheating, drugs and arms dealing and scams. Their mafia needs conflict and continuing backwardness in Sri Lanka (and neighboring India as well) to survive. To say they represent any ethnic group is ultimately insulting that very ethnic group they claim to represent. Enough is enough. Lets do something about this ourselves, starting now. Even a $300 M a year mafia can be countered with common sense and people power. Dont fall for their tricks and end up bickering amongst ourselves (eg UNP supporters vs SLFP supporters etc). Like at Nandikadal, be united and focus on the common enemy until their misguided and destructive activities are wiped out from the face of this earth. In my view, a key strategy would be the de-ghettoising of areas like the Greater Toronto area, parts of the UK, Western Sydney and other key voting bases of theirs. It is from these places they and their western supporters usually launch their anti Sri Lanka attacks. If immigration authorities in the West werent biased, there would be greater resettlement of non-Tamil-speaking lankans into these areas and Tamils who oppose their activities and slave-mentality, encouraged to come out openly against the mafia.

I think most of the Committee members of the NCCT may be the children (all the committee members seem young) of Tamils who left Sri Lanka after the trumped up Riots of 1983. This is how they gain importance in Canada. Wonder who is paying them ?
Resolution of the problem with the NCCT should be done on a government to government basis, with involvement of the Garment producers of Sri Lanka and Buyers/Sellers of these Garments from Canada. The Jnt. Opposition in Sri Lanka should also involve itself to stop the NCCT from activities that affect Sri Lankan economy adversely. Garments made in Sri Lanka are top quality. Competitors may be involved with the NCCT.
Among other Objectives (see Internet), the NCCT has stated the following :
8. To advocate and raise awareness on the principles articulated by the Tamil-Canadian community through the December 19, 2009 referendum which reaffirmed the validity of the 1976 Vaddukkoaddai Resolution.
(8-a) Support Tamils with their self determination and support non-violence activities to pursue Tamil Eelam.
In #8, they “reaffirm the validity of the 1976 Vaddukkoddai Resolution” which calls for VIOLENCE TO ACHIEVE A SEPARATE HOMELAND CALLED EELAM. In another section (which I have called 8-a for convenience, as in the internet version they have only put an asterisk), they say they “SUPPORT NON-VIOLENCE ACTIVITIES TO PURSUE TAMIL EELAM”.
THE TWO POINTS CONTRADICT ONE ANOTHER. The NCCT needs to re-write its Objectives ! As usual, some of the Tamils abroad have got their knickers in a twist.

GOSL should point out that the true Tamil homeland is in Tamil Nadu and GOSL must provide logistic support to TN separatists to this end and educate the Canadian/US public about the existence of Tamil Nadu. They could consider doing this jointly with TN separatist groups. Tamil self-determination begins and ends in Tamil Nadu. All else is illusory. If New Delhi interferes they should be asked for reparations for supporting terrorism in Sri Lanka before any further negotiations. At least we are peaceful. The second approach is the de-ghettoization of Metropolitan Toronto with greater numbers of Sinhala speaking settlers encouraged to immigrate, take Canadian citizenship, learn to converse and be heard in English/French, and vote. Same thing should be encouraged in London and Western Sydney.

I agree, Voice 123. THE TAMIL HOMELAND IS IN TAMIL NADU. We have to repeat that Millions of times till foreign govts. recognise that fact.
Also, since the NCCT is going along with the VADUKODDAI RESOLUTION WHICH CALLS FOR VIOLENCE TO ACHIEVE EELAM,
the Canadian Govt. ought to BAN THE NCCT. Acts of Violence to a member Commonwealth country are contradict the Canadian Constitution.

Fran, my opinion is unorthodox and bound to offend traditionalists but here it is. Can you deny my facts and logic?
Canadian and all western governments will only do do what their elected politicians want. Their elected politicians are very sensitive to the various multicultural lobby groups. After the Jewish diaspora, Tamils separatists are the most succesful contemporary transnational ethnic lobby group. They have full time representatives constantly in the ear of western policymakers giving donations to both the government and opposition, etc. The influence if GOSL abroad is marginal. Sri Lanka doesnt have a strong trading economy or resources like oil. Even tiny countries like Singapore and Dubai can pack a punch because their economies are strong and finance and capital are reliant on them. The Indian-Sinhalese Banda duo sabotaged us with the closed, socialist Nehruvian (Indian) style economy and turned us into a vassal state of India and away from rest of Asia and the world. They made a historicaly/genetically unproven assumption that the majority of the islanders can trace our roots entirely to India – like the Bandas do. Hence, we are now at the mercy of the electorally strong Tamils in the West and “mother India” (for the Indian-Sinhala, Tamil and Moor minorities India is recognised as their original mother country. Funny how India doesnt consider the interests on the Indian-Sinhalese and Moor minorities who are also ethnically “Indian”). This dependence can be reversed only by de-ghettoing Canada, UK, South Africa, Norway etc and building a strong trading economy which international capital and finance ultimately dancing to our tune. (If not dancing, at least listening to it). Also the Indian-Sinhalese community who are proud to identify and able to prove their roots in far flung parts of India must reconcile with India and its government. ( Unfortunately de ghettoing the Western electorates isnt entirely up to us but depends on non-discriminatory migration policies in those countries also).
