ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It seemsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  quite in order to request a trashing of rubbish wherever it surfacesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ as Sri Lanka’s Defence Secretary has done relative to the latest Channel 4 portrayal. As Channel 4 continues the rubbish it regularly throws at the international community over cookedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ upƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ rights violations and attrocities, this one said to have been committed by the Sri Lankan Armed Forces,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the call to trashƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ becomes significantƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ because the basis for this is suspected to be coercion by certain powerful members of the disgruntled Tamil Diaspora who are today theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ biggest losers without their champions the Tamil Tigers.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ But what’s mind boggling is the naivety of sources like Channel 4 who compromise their credibilities by continuing to broadcast such rubbish always timed just before a crucial event involving thr participation of Sri Lanka and in this instance the UNHRC Sessions due to be held soon in Switzerland and the conference of Commonwealth Nations to follow!ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This time it’s a pathetic photograph of a young boy said to have been held in a military bunker before he was allegedly brutally murdered by the Army and said to be the son of deposed Tamil Tiger terrorist leader Velupillai Prabhakaran where the tangibilities towards authenticity as usual are non existent although the sympathies of those who view such presentations can easily relate to the desired objectives of those who broadcast them quite apart from the sympaties shown by the Sri Lankan Armed Forces towards the enemy.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ When the Hon. Defence Secretary Gotabaya RajapaksaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  rejected the photographs displayed by Channel 4 television station of UKƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  said to beƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ that ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Tamil Tiger terrorist leader PrabhakaranƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s youngest son Balachandran andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ questioned the basis on which Channel 4 can say that he is in a bunker with the military by only looking at the pictures which do not indicate anything related to the military it almost makes Channel 4 a laughing stock whose own transparencies towards the biases involved are at times painfully visible.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It seems also very appropriate in the words of the Hon.Secretary to point out that
ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-They always cut and put these pictures which they have being doing for quite sometime” and ask ” Who took these pictures? They never talk about the children killed by the LTTE and also about child soldiers who were trained to go on suicide missions as well as to munch a cyanide capsule,ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ and perhaps time the Channel 4 System restructured their organization toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ broadcast information that is more credible and linked to tangible evidence of a more plausible nature not codswallop. It will simply be a matter of time when yet again this photo will be analysed and proved to be a falsified and doctored one as has been the case in the past and the sentiments of the Defence Secretary fully vindicated.

It must be remembered that the anguish of loved ones bemoaning the fate ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Tamils who lost their lives needs to be inexorablty linked to that of the Sinhalese and other ethnicitiesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ sufferingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  similar losses equal or greater perhaps if a final count was to be doneƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ where blaming the Armed Forces comes easily to those who accuse them blindly never pausing for a moment to heed the salient reality that it was these same Forces who protected multitudes of fleeing Tamils who were prisoners and a human shield used by the LTTE, a mendacious binch of murderous killers ~ evidence of which was documented first hand and exists as testimony to corroborate the reality and something for Channel 4 to ponder upon before broadcasting their particular versions of backwater bilge in an attempt to sway the world for all the wrong reasons!ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and that too with an agenda involved, a shameful and criminally liable one accusing a democratic nation that was rightfully defending territorial integrity and sovereignity from marauding terrorists!

Perhaps ChannelƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 4 needs further educating towardsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ how the Sri Lankan Authorities have handledƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ matters of defence with hardly a blemish contrary to the accusations where much sympathy and consideration has been given to the families of Tiger Terrorists as well as those captured during the insurgency where opportunities to rehabilitate andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ contribute towards the Nation re-building and developmentƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ while recognizing their right to exist as citizens of the landƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ is something of imperativeƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ importanceƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ overlooked by sources such as Channel 4 whose only objective appears to be dragging down the GOSL at the behest of perhaps some of their paymasters as some believe and sources that egg them on towards their own villification by those who know what truly transpired during the internal armed insurrection for which
the Sri Lankan Authorities have no cause to doubt their conduct and integrities related as none but meticulous as well as precedent creating in the Global war against terrorism.

Well said Mr Defence Secretary for exposing the Channel 4ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ photo for possibleƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ duplicity amongst other related items which probably deserve to be trashed in their entirety and not just the latest photo!

This particular photo which involves an innocent boy hasƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ touched the hearts of all who have seen it but it does not detract from the fact that there are many factors which discredit the concept of the horror it implies for all the wrong reasons and mostly to implicate the Sri Lankan Armed Forces.
