TNA has finally become a responsible political Party. Or has it ?

‚ Winning the PC elections in the North by itself is not the end of it.‚ The TNA has now got to sit down to work as responsible politicians planning their activities as a part of the Central Government of Sri Lanka, with it and not against it.
‚ Why did the Tamils in the North, almost 90 percent of the educated, professional, merchants, salesmen, skilled and unskilled workers, farmers, labourers,‚ men and women all voted to TNA a party that was -hatched- from the cocoon of terrorism ?‚
‚ In other words the Tamils in the North en block voted for the memory of -terrorism-. ‚ While Wigneshawaran the ex-judge got the highest preferential vote,‚ Ananthi Sasitharan former terrorist cadre got the next highest preferential vote.‚ The Tamils have their destinies with terrorism and Sri Lanka has to‚ keep that in mind and keep the Army Camps permanently stationed in the North as given the opportunity the Tamils in the north may‚ encourage terrorism once again. They may even willingly give their children as future suicide bombs.
It must be in their blood to -enjoy- suffering-sort of a sadist tendency.‚ Even Wigneshvaran an ex-judge who has his sons married to Sinhala women, educated and lived perhaps all his life in the South with the Sinhala, ‚ proved without any doubt that through out the thirty years of terrorism he had been a sympathiser of the terrorists.‚
‚ Can we therefore rule out that Navi Pillay the UNCHR is also in heart very much a sympathiser of the Sri Lanka Tamil terrorists and hero worships Prabhakaran the terrorist to whose memory she wanted to offer flowers at Nandikadal ?
‚ The hero worship of Prabhakaran did not come to ex-judge Wigneshvaran overnight, it is some thing that had been in his heart all the time. He had finally‚ felt safe and at home among the TNA -terrorist lovers- to ‚ openly declare that Prabhakaran ‚ was a freedom fighter and a hero of the Tamil people.
He even compared Prabhakaran to Keppeitipola Disawe who revolted against the British.
There are other stake holders Viswanathan Rudrakumaran -“already the‚ Prime Minister of‚ the Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam, Father S.J.Emmanuel of the Global Tamil Forum, and numerous others lining up to infiltrate into the North- for them the -terre Saint- of terrorism.‚
If the government does not keep an eye as to what is taking place in the North with TNA on the saddle, we may end up with a another 30 years of terrorism.‚ Tamils in the North seem to love it, and will invest for it to happen again.
‚ This attachment to suffering of the Tamil people in the North of Sri Lanka- as much as those Tamils elsewhere as witnessed by ex- Judge Wigneshwaran-â„¢s hero worship of the ruthless terrorist Prabhakaran, seems to be an inborn Tamil ‚ trait.
They pay penance to their Gods subjecting themselves to pain, such as being hung in carts, rolling on the ground, piercing the tongue, dragging carts tied onto hooks pierced into the skin of the devotee-â„¢s back, walk on fire and so on.
‚ Therefore, there is no wonder the Tamils of the North vote TNA the political party closely connected to terrorism.‚ For‚ three or four years there had been cultural exchanges where many Tamil people , old , the youth and school children were invited to the south and received by the Sinhala families.‚
Many opportunities were provided for the Tamils in the North to mix ‚ with the Sinhala people in the South.‚ But all those friendly contacts had not given any confidence or attachment to the Sinhala people. Their contact with the Sinhala had been superficial not going ‚ beyond their narrow Communal barriers.
‚
Coming to the vote winners the TNA, can they continue to stand by their Manifesto, which is a demand for a separate Eelam in the North ?
‚ It is ridiculous for them to be presumptive having got an unprecedented support from the voters, to demand a separate Eelam within a Unitary Sri Lanka.‚
Sri Lanka cannot have two different people within one unitary state, but a one people in the one unitary state.‚ Therefore, TNA has to decide to come down to earth and accept that the Tamils are ‚ a part of the same people‚ among‚ others in Sri Lanka.
‚
Viswanathan Rudra Kumaran, and Farther‚ S.J.Emmanuel cannot set foot in the North of Sri Lanka to make of it a separate Eelam.‚ North of Sri Lanka is very much a part of Sri Lanka despite all the votes the Tamil people in the North gave to TNA.
‚ TNA has also to‚ be alive to the fact that the PC of the North cannot dictate terms as to how the Military camps should be set up in the North, and has to very well get used to live with the Soldiers‚ of the Armed Forces.
TNA cannot ask any more for land powers as it has already been decided, and the government should go ahead with new settlements for the displaced Sinhala and Muslim people, and allow‚ new people from the South‚ to settle down in the North.
‚ It is very unfortunate we have the so called e-media, like the Lanka-e- news., writing really disastrously scandalous articles, an excerpt of which I quote:
‚ -Though the Medamulana chaurayas ( deceivers) were deeply in their toils blindfolding the southern modayas (foolish believers ) to conceal their monumental corruption activities and murderous violence , the representatives of the people of the north whose eyes are always open and sharp held a media briefing today. The people of the north had given them the power of a 4/5 th majority much more than the 2/3 majority needed to expel a governor of the province. -(lanka-e-news)
These immature statements‚ will not help‚ either in the reconciliation of the Communities or the administration of the Northern PC Council by the TNA Councillors.
‚ The TNA hawks will have to cool down and try to be acceptable, intelligent politicians‚ if they are to make any thing out of the Newly won PC elections in the North.‚ ‚ Otherwise, the government should step into stop the vain rhetoric‚ and declare the Northern election null and void and allow the Governor to run it as it had been before.
‚ Such drastic action has to be taken without fearing the reaction of the anti-Sri Lanka Western lobby. China could not have developed ‚ to what it is to-day, if it did not close the frontiers to the interfering West.
In the mean time it was reported that :
-Four Buddha statues in Murukkan, including two from the ancient temple of Murukkan, have been vandalized, the Mannar Police said.‚ Venerable Walpola Sarana Thera, Chief Incumbent of the Murukkan Temple said some persons, who arrived in the temple around 11 p.m. on Wednesday (25) damaged the statues.-
These are matters that should be taken up by the TNA PC Councillors who should send out a strong message against such vandalism in the North.‚ That is being responsible PC Councillors.‚
Sampanthan had stated that they are studying the Supreme Court judgement on land powers.‚ This means that they are beginning their PC Councillor role following a confrontational attitude, which‚ does not auger well for the future of the Northern PC Council.
The Northern P.C.Councillors have to sit down to work for the people of the Northern Province, without reacting ‚ to favourable and unfavourable issues and ask for remedial solutions from India and the rest of the world.‚
If they are taking their responsibilities seriously, they have to start working with the people and contact the Government in all matters and have a positive dialogue with the Government without acting as if the Government does not exist.
If they start a second round of visits to India, Tamil Nadu, Canada, UK and USA looking for advice as to how to‚ run the Norther PC detrimentally to the government with an eye for separation, the Government has to take its own corrective action to put things back in order.

“Four Sri Lankan men have appeared in court in connection with a series of cash machine scams around Gloucestershire, England.
Basheer Mustafa Ebrahim, 21, and Ashok Balasubramanian, 22; Thanfavel Vilvanadham, 50, all of South End Road in Croydon, London; and Kusalakumar Sithambarapillai, 48, of Barnard Gardens in Hayes, Middlesex were arrested on the M25 in Surrey on Monday, September 23.
The Sri Lankan nationals are accused of 10 counts of defrauding British banks by ‘card trapping’ in Cheltenham and Gloucester.”

This is the legacy of SL Tamilians and Arabs. CRIMES EVERYWHERE they go.

“Why did the Tamils in the North, almost 90 percent of the educated, professional, merchants, salesmen, skilled and unskilled workers, farmers, labourers, men and women all voted to TNA a party that was “hatched” from the cocoon of terrorism ?”
Because Tamils are TRIBAL MINDED and RACIST.

Pillayan wants land and police powers to the North. This rascal collected ten rupees per a bottle of arrack during his time as CM in the East. Went to Switzerland to discuss with the Diaspora to set up a seperate EElam in the East. If GoSL did not settle Sinhala and Muslim people on 1:1 basis in the North and East within the next four years, South must kiss goodbye to the North and East. Batticaloa is full of South Indian cheap labour brought in from Tamil Nadoo recently. GoSL is encouraging more and more cheap labour imports from Nadoo. By the looks of it we can see the formation of EElam in our generation.

The land in the East is being bought over by the Tamil immigrants at an alarming rate.

In the Northern Province, of the total number of Registered Voters, only 67.52% cast their ballots last Saturday.
Of this number, 78.48% voted for ITAK.
This means that of the total number of Registered Voters in the Northern Province, only about 53% voted for ITAK
This implies that about 1 in every 2 Voters in the Tamil Heartland was not sufficiently motivated to lend their support to the policies of ITAK.
Is it correct then to say that “Tamils Voted Overwhelmingly For Self-Determination” ?

charles, you submitted a right Article at the right time. TNA is in the position to change their heads
to bring the peaceful life of all communities in Sri Lanka and not fuel the fire to the Terrorism.
Words of the some expired Tamil and Sinhala politicians were the reason for the war in Sri Lanka.
The war in the name of Tamils changed as Tamil Terrorism. No one can identify easily backround of Terrorism wo,where, and how. Power and Wealthy without hard work is aim of Terrorism. So people want easy life without hard work support Terrorism.
What is the aim of TNA? Guiding the Tamils to the peaceful life in Sri Lanka or more power
to enjoy their life in Northern province? SRI LANKA is Mother of all communities who love and live in
Sri Lanka. The mother is happy when childrens live peacefully.

thurai said : “Words of the some expired Tamil and Sinhala politicians were the reason for the war in Sri Lanka.”
ABSOLUTELY WRONG! That is what Eelamists would like us to believe, subtly conveying the erroneous impression that somehow the Sinhala majority is at fault, whereas the real reasons are much more fundamental and compelling.
The reasons for the war in Sri Lanka are:
1. That Northern Tamils, Isolated from the Sinhalese in the South, are Racist, Selfish & Greedy.
2. The presence of 60+ million Tamils in Tamil Nadu, who are equally Racist, Selfish & Greed and historically wanted to create a Greater Tamil Nadu separate from the non-Dravidian North India, makes Sri Lankan Tamils believe that they will have the support they need to carve out an Eelam from Sri Lanka.
3. The historical Military, Economic and Diplomatic weakness of independent Sri Lanka made it a target ripe for plucking. Human experience throughout history affirms that WEAKNESS BEGETS AGGRESSION.
There is NOTHING that a WEAK Sri Lanka could have done to prevent Tamil Nationalist aggression against it; ABSOLUTELY NOTHING … It was INEVITABLE … Sri Lanka’s WEAKNESS INVITED IT!
Anyone who has ANYTHING OF VALUE must prepared to DEFEND it. We live in a Resplendent Island like no other in this world, that has attracted covetous eyes, and foreign invaders throughout history.
We must ALWAYS be WILLING, ABLE & READY to defend this incomparable Motherland of ours.
An Invading South Indian Prince upon his disembarking on Sri Lanka’s soil had inscribed in stone “The Codagama Deva having landed in Unconquerable Lanka …..” in recognition that even in the ancient past Sri Lanka was considered to be UNCONQUERABLE. That was how how illustrious ancestors kept covetous invaders at bay, by striking fear deep into their hearts .. that they may come to Sri Lanka … but they will not leave alive.
So it must be in our time. we must learn the lessons our own history teaches us, and walk in the footsteps of our ancestors.
As the poet Ameradeva penned in immortal verse …
Aadi Sinhale’ …. Aee’ Apey Meemuthun Layin..
Saara wu, Udarawa wu…..

Mr. Charles S. Perera has outlined quite correctly what we should do now. Even before the SC decision, I advocated, Sinhala & Mulsim communities that were uprooted by LTTE should be relocated in the North.
But there were no takers for my comment. The Govt. turns blind eye to reports, protests & complains made by mostly Sinhalese, that 4 years after the war ended, STILL displaced Sinhalese & Muslims are not settled in their previous land.
Why shold we wait till SC decision, when late DS Senanyake our FIRST PM, staged this by opening up villages in the North, Padaviya, Medawachiya & Habarna & GAL OYA in East and so on. That PM had only 6th grade education & he managed to do the right thing by Sinhalese.
NOW our leaders, are fretting WHAT INDIA MIGHT do, if we govern our country the way we want. India can go & manage Kashmir, which belongs to Palkistan & other Northern States of India bordering CHINA belongs to China.
India;s territorial ambitions are so one sided, when an Indian enter a country rom ONE shop they buy the whole street, THEN they over populate, so that sooner it will be Indian majority, outplacing the indiginous population in that country.
They did this FIJI, in Sheyheles, and in many other countries. ONLY in east Africa they could not do this as Africans drove them away. Now they are in Canada & USA, trying to VOTE as a BLOC & demand the political stucture change in THEIR FAVOUR.
Coming back to Sinahla & Mulims settling in the NORTH, we also must get RID of Colombo mentality that allows any immigrant other than Sinhalese are accepted & proovided help to settle in Colombo. These areas which are of Sinhalese ancestory are gobbled up by Idians, Tamils & Muslims.
ONCE Colombo is free from these undesitrables, THE DRUG tade, prostitution, Human Smuggling, CREDIT card fraud ALL will stop. Clean up Colombo that is what our UDA & Dr. Gotabhaya should do now.
Thank you Charles & other contributors to this article. I feel we all should attemptt to do something POSITIVE to achieve the desired result….ENLIST the silent majority, our fairer sex, who are well educated & can support our MALE counterparts in their FIGHT….
Like Ananada from USA, I feel we have very few contributors to LANKAWEB from USA, get USA Sri Lankans involved as well.
Thank you all…..Another expat babbling away as usual……ONE COUNTRY, UNDER ONE LEADER, INDIVISIBLE, STRONG & FREE….~..J

No the TNA has not become a responsible party that voices the everyday concerns of its electorate for if they did then jobs would be the first order of the day. Instead they stated “a certain level of autonomy” as the first request and since then have gone on to request the removal of the military presence in the very lands that would go to create Eelam.
No long sermons are needed to validate that the TNA are working against the better interest of Sri Lanka, that they harbor separatist ideologies and they listen to New Delhi more often than to Colombo and by that should be disbanded and charged with treason.

Agree with Ananda.
Throughout our history Tamilians have been the curse of this nation.
SL had to fight them off 2,500 years ago and now too. There is no easy solution. SL have to keep fighting, keep killing.
Ultimately SL’s security depends on FAVORABLE DEMOGRAPHICS in SL.
99% of the army is Sinhalese. IF 99% of SL is Sinhalese it is as safe as the army itself.

TNA a “Responsible Party”? You have got to be kidding!
According to the TNA, the PC Election Manifesto has been “accepted by the public” meaning the Eelamist majority population of the Northen Province? Well, he has conveniently neglected to point out that the PUBLIC is the ENTIRE CITIZENRY of Sri Lanka, not the Separatists of the Northen Province!
Grabbing the PC Election was the LEFT JAB, now HERE COMES THE RIGHT JAB; their DEMANDS for
1. Police Powers, so that 1.6 million illegal im migrants already in Sri Lanka can have false information inserted into the legal machinery to establish their status as “bona fide” cititizens of Sri Lanka, and to LOOK THE OTHER WAY and AID & ABET the Eelamists to revive the military arm of the LTTE through gunrunning, human smuggling, training and outfitting a new separatist army while excluding the GOSL security forces from the North.
2. Removal of Army bases from the Northern Province with same objective as in Point 1 above, and to prevent Sinhala settlers and eliminate protection for them in the Northern Province.
For those who don’t know, there are large numbers of Indian Tamils who have come on tourist visas and were working as itinerant vendors and farmers in rice fields. Many have been arrested and deported by the Army. Many more are absconding and given refuge by the Eelamists.
3. Land Powers, to exclude Sinhala settlers moving onto crown land, to revive the LTTE cemetries and monuments build to honor and perpetuate the memory of these terrorist murderers, and to redistribute crown land to 1.6 million illegal immigrants already smuggled into Sri Lanka during the last 30 years, and to settle new illegal Tamil immigrants from South India on those lands. Also, land powers given to PCs will erect barriers to National Projects that cut across provincial boundaries.
Sri Lanka should NEVER give POLICE & LAND Powers to Provincial Governments, or REMOVE the Armed Forces from ANY CAMP where they were stationed. On the contrary, the SECURITY SITUATION is now beggining to get worse that at anytime since the defeat of the LTTE on May 19, 2009.
Instead, the GOSL should establish NEW Navy posts within eyesight of each other all along the North Western, Northern, and Eastern coastlines. Build NEW Navy bases at all of the former Sea Tiger bases that dotted the entire coastline, and develop NEW permanent Army Bases all over these provinces.
Eelam War V is just beginning, Sri Lanka must be ABLE, READY and WILLING to defend itself. Do not leave room for the TNA to repeat what the LTTE did without the knowledge, and beyond the control, of the GOSL.
The GOSL should NEVER give Police and Land powers, or subjugate the power of the National Government to station securty forces as it sees fit ANYWHERE in the country. That is the BOUNDEN DUTY of the GOSL … do not abdicate your DUTY to placate aspiring separatists!
……………………………..
Sri Lanka Tamil party to negotiate for police and land powers for provinces
ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.
Sept 29, Colombo: Sri Lanka’s major Tamil party, Tamil National Alliance says it plans to hold discussions with the government to obtain the land and police powers rightfully given to the provinces in the Constitution.
Responding to a recent statement made by the Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa that his government will not give land and police powers to the provinces, the Chief Minister- elect of the TNA, C.V. Vigneswaran has told the BBC Sandeshaya program that the provision is in the law although the President has refused to do so.
The former Supreme Court judge has also rejected the accusation by the ruling party that TNA’s election manifesto is an attempt to divide the country and create a Tamil Eelam. He said the public has accepted their manifesto as justifiable.
Vigneswaran further said that the party will demand the government to immediately remove the military from the lands that belonged to the Tamil people and are currently occupied by the military.
He said the party will find solutions to the grievances of the thousands of the Tamil people displaced from their lands and homes as well as to find answers to the missing and disappeared.
Meanwhile, the leader of the TNA R. Sampanthan in a milder tone has said that the party is ready to work with the government and he expects the government to reciprocate.
In the first ever elections held in the Northern Province since its establishment 25 years ago, the TNA won 30 out of the 38 seats in Provincial Council. The ruling party gained 7 and the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress gained one.

“Eelam War V is just beginning”
Absolutely. It has started.
Elam War V started on 26 September 2013. There is nothing to negotiate. NO LAND POWERS. NO POLICE POWERS.
TE legal minds MUST be surgically eliminated preferably by a group called LTTE. There is no other way.
During the war SOMEONE killed TNA Parayajasingham and Raviraj. How good! If those 2 criminals were alive things would be much worse. That is the way to go. We need that SOMEONE to take action. Unfortunately he is out of power now.

Lorenzo//“Eelam War V is just beginning”
There were no Eelam war and will not be a Eelam war. Everthing is Terrorism. There are no enough Good Tamil leaders to safegurd and guide Tamil community in Sri Lanka. They cheat and get benefit from the Tamil, and Eelam
voices. Tamils live all over Sri Lanka. Not only in North and East. Less than 50% of Northern Tamils Elected TNA.
TNA don´t represent whole Tamils in Sri Lanka. TNA like World Tamil Forum in Uk which is controled by some
LTTE supporters. There are some political and economical problems in the North like in South.
Northern Tamils are expecting the Railway Transport from Jaffna to Colombo. The railway track were destroyed by Eelamfighters. Noone from North vote again South and Noth Railway connection. SLG do everything for
Norhern Tamils for better life. TNA wants more rights to control the northern Tamils not others in Sri Lanka.
Norhern voters voted aginst themself not again anyothers.
September 30th, 2013 at 3:14 am
Noone from North vote again South and Noth Railway connection ! So those votes against separation !
United in diversity !!! no short cut !
MR is in right direction not because He does not want to get his saram(a) wet !

Enforcement people are after them in UK irrespective of the diaspora links with the politicians.I am glad that these people are allowed to protest openly in UK and it is a wise move to say the least.
No officer of the law would ever support a group of people who support terrorists, especially those who have murdered the unarmed police men who surrendered. You will hear much more of this in future.Looking forward to their next gathering which cuts out their work.

Nimal.
Agree.
Yes it is happening. Brits giving them enough rope the hang themselves.
October 4th, 2013 at 4:43 pm
Thurai,
Northern TAMIL voters ALWAYS voted for racism. This time is no exception.
Their numbers MUST be busted. Otherwise SL faces Elam War V which has officially started with TNA racist manifesto and TNA win. With a TERRORIST CHIEF MINISTER the war will be fully on.
When a war STARTS, there is NO smoke, NO deaths. They are BY PRODUCTS of war. Not the war itself.
