On Tuesday, 18 March 2014, a group of Sri Lankan Australians (16) from the ACT, NSW and Vic met with Australian Parliamentarians in the Canberra Parliament and explained to them in length the adverse effects of the proposed US Resolution on Sri Lanka. Altogether 8 MPs and Senators from different sides of the Australian politics were met with.
The meetings were held in a friendly, cordial and polite atmosphere.
The Sri Lankan Australian delegation made a humble request from the Australian legislatures to support Sri Lanka at the forthcoming Geneva sessions. They explained to them that the proposed US Resolution will not unite the Sinhalese and Tamil communities in Sri Lanka (and overseas), but will polarise them. The significant gains achieved by the government and people of Sri Lanka in the past 4+ years, especially in relation to ethnic reconciliation and communal harmony will be hampered and tarnished as a result of the proposed US Resolution.
The delegation requested from the Parliamentarians to advise their respective political parties that the Australian Government should not co-sponsor the US Resolution in Geneva this year. It was strongly emphasised that such a move will not favour Sri Lanka, and will send Sri Lanka backwards.
In general, the Australian legislatures offered a positive feedback to the Sri Lankan Australian delegation.

Well done CB.
Not sure whether our GOSL capitalise the good relationship with Aus to convince some western countries.

I think Thisara has already asked Australia to speak to the US and UK governments requesting them that they do not bring in this Resolution

Finally it is official now. Endia will AGAIN vote AGAINST SL.
“India will vote in favour of the resolution on Sri Lanka at the United Nations Human Rights Council, the UPA government is learnt to have decided in possibly its last major foreign policy decision. The vote is expected on March 28 in Geneva.”

Even Buddha changes mind on third time repetition.
It is mind boggling why our President don’t give orders to
1. Openly state at UNHRC and remind India that how they operated camps, trained terrorist and initiated “genocide” of Sri Lankans , irrespective of race and religion.
2. Openly tell the truth of British Human White activities.
3. Openly expose the Norwegian training of LTTE and their role
4. Directly say the Pillay is a Racist Tamil, not qualified to be High commissioner while getting LOW commissions from LTTE and their US and British counterparts.
Surely MR is bribed by India, if he does not do it NOW.

THEN THEY CAME FOR ME.
First USA went against Iraq. I’m not an Iraqi so I didn’t care. Then they went after Sri Lanka. I’m not a Sri Lankan so I didn’t care. Then USA came after our country and there was no one to stand for me!!
