Instead of appointing SLMC Hakeem as Justice Minister and ACMC Bathurdeen as trade minister, Mahinda should have promoted SLFP Muslim MPs (including bringing some from the national list). That should have saved Muslim votes and made SLMC and ACMC useless.
Resettling displaced Muslims in Jaffna, not Puttlam or Wilpattu, would also have helped Mahinda. It was not done.
13A and provincial councils don’t do justice to Muslims as these are Indian imposed to serve only South Indians in the island. That too caused plenty of heartbreak within the Muslim community.

Mahinda may need Hamba votes, but he must not take the Sinhala Buddhist on the garden path only to come to power. At the moment Hambayas are gobbling up Sinhala land at a rate all over Sri Lanka. There must be laws to prevent this from happening. Otherwise soon Sri Lanka will witness the things that are happening now in rest of the world.
Sinhala Buddhist heritage should not be sold for a few pieces of Hambaya silver!

Muslims are gobbling up the whole world. I watched on YouTube that fashion houses such as Dolce Gabana, Marks and Spencer, DKNY are presenting special Muslim fashions for Ramadan /Eid.
