The National Geographic Magazine published a highly derogatory and biased story by Robert Draper on Sri Lanka in its November 2016 magazine tilted Sri Lanka Fragile Peace. It is completely devoid of context and contains many misleading statements by the writer who clearly supports racism, ethnic cleansing, political assassinations and suicide terrorism by the terrorists called Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. It defames the Sri Lankan armed forces who gallantly fought the ruthless Tamil Tiger terrorists and made the ultimate sacrifice. The Sinhalese Buddhists are attacked and slandered throughout the story and the LTTE terrorists are embraced as freedom fighting rebels, thus encouraging other global terrorists. It clearly undermines the reconciliation efforts in Sri Lanka by artfully promoting racial hatred. The National Geographic Magazine has committed a grave crime against humanity by publishing this vicious story by a biased and naive writer.
