President should be held responsible for the Bond scandal – Mahinda

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa stated that the President should be held responsible for the Bond scandal that has severely hindered the economic growth of the nation.

He further stated that the President is also responsible for the mistakes made by the Cabinet.

The former President expressed these sentiments while addressing a gathering in Anuradhapura.

    Not the correct legal position. Anything can be told on election stages.

    Similarly Mahinda is not responsible for the 2008 Greek bond scam and various alleged mapractices in the ministry of defence. Both finance and defence ministries were under Mahinda.
