සම්මා සම්බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ උප්පත්තිය, සම්බුද්ධත්වය හා පරිනිර්වාණය යන තෙමගුල සනිටුහන් කිරීම

වෙසක් දිනය ලොවපුරා බෞද්ධ ජනතාවගේ උතුම්ම දිනයයි. ඒ, මිනිසා විඳින සසර දුකෙන් මිදෙන ඒකායන මාර්ගය පෙන්වා වදාළ අප මහා සම්මා සම්බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ උප්පත්තිය, සම්බුද්ධත්වය හා පරිනිර්වාණය යන තෙමගුල සිදුවූ දිනය වන හෙයිනි. අපගේ ඓතිහාසික මූලාශ්‍ර වල කියවෙන පරිදි, මේ පුංචි දිවයින උන්වහන්සේගේ පා පහසින් ආශීර්වාද ලබන්නට තෙවරක්ම වාසනාවන්ත වූ අතර, ලාංකේය සංස්කෘතියේ පදනම, ශක්තිය, ජීවනාලිය වන්නේ බුදුදහමයි. අතීතයේ සිටම අප රටත් ජනතාවත් නොයෙකුත් අභියෝගයන්ට, දුෂ්කරතාවයන්ට, මුහුණ දුන්නද ඒවා හමුවේ නොසැලී සිටීමට හා ජයග්‍රහණ ලැබීමට බුදු දහමේ ආභාශයෙන් අප ලත් ශක්තිය හේතු වූ බව නොරහසකි.
පිරිසිදු ථෙරවාද බුදුදහම පවතින රටක් ලෙස පැවතීමට අපගේ මේ පින්බර දිවයින වාසනාවන්තය. එසේ වුවද, වර්තමානයේ දුෂ්ඨ බලවේග අතින් පෙර නොවූ විරූ අන්දමින් ශතවර්ෂ ගණනාවක් මුලුල්ලේ මේ රටේ බුදුදහම රැකගෙන ආ මහා සංඝරත්නය අභියෝගයට, ගර්හාවට, පීඩනයට ලක්වෙමින් සිටින බවක් පෙනෙන්නට තිබීම ගැන අපි කණගාටු වෙමු. මේ වකවානුවේ බෞද්ධ අධ්‍යාපනය රැක ගැනීමට උද්ඝෝෂණ පවා අපට දැකගත හැක. මේ රටේ ඉතිහාසය පුරාම මෙවන් අභියෝභ ජයගත් ආකාරයට මේ රටේ බෞද්ධයන් හා මහා සංඝරත්නය මේ අභියෝගද ජයගනු ඇත.
විද්‍යාවේ දියුණුවත් සමග බොහෝ ඉගැන්වීම් අභියෝගයට ලක්වන නමුදු බුදු දහමේ ඇති විශේෂත්වය වන්නේ විද්‍යාවේ දියුණුවත් සමග එය තව තවත් තහවුරු වීමය. සසර දුකෙන් එතෙර වන්නේ කෙසේද යන්න පමණක් නොව එතෙක් යහපත් මිනිසෙකු ලෙස ජීවත් වන්නේ කෙසේද යන්න පිලිබදව ද බුද්ධ ධර්මය අපට මග පෙන්වා දී ඇත.
ශ්‍රී ලංකාවාසී ඔබ සියලු දෙනාටත් අපගේ මාතෘ භූමියටත් තෙරුවන් සරණයි. !

We fully respect our sacred religion Buddhism and maha sanga who preaches lord buddha’s message to the world community but Sir I cannot and not willing to celebrate this holy day on 29th of April because it’s not right to celebrate vesak on a wrong date when all the other buddhist countries around the world celebrate on 29th may, the day lord Buddha was born. Nobody has the right to change this holy day as they pleases. There is something sinister behind this change and we as buddhist population like to know the truth behind this treacherous act by the Yamapalanaya evil conspirators. We as citizens must condemn this government fully for their actions and unacceptable treatment of our sacred religion Buddhism and the buddhist population including maha sanga. Rulers must respect Buddhism over everything because Buddhism is our way of life specially for sinhala race who are the majority of this country. SRI lanka is the land for Sinhalese people and the main religion is Buddhism therefore we should with our heart and soul need to protect both the sinhala race and the religion Buddhism. We respect other communities too and their religious beliefs as well and like to live peacefully as we are all Sri lankan citizens. We respect you Sir more than any other politician in this country and we would like if you were more active on important issues concerns our country and fight for the right as you fought before. The population is fully behind you to chase these yamaballo to hell for their crimes against our citizens. Budusaranai.

Ever since the coming to power of the Jadapalana Aanduwa, it has carried out a frontal attack on all aspects of Buddhism and Budddhist culture in Sri Lanka. While there were countless more important issues to address and attend to they are on a mission to destroy the Buddhist Establishment in Sri Lanka, which they think is a hindrance to their Christian Agenda for Sri Lanka. Not only they tried to bring schism among different Nikayas – Chapters of Buddhism in Sri Lanka they are also meddling in the finances of the Buddhist Establishment. Land belonging to Buddhist Temples are up for grabs with no safeguard in sight.
Since the monumental political defeat at the Local Government Elections now the Jadapalanaya have ” recognized the need to address the Buddhists in Sri Lanka”. All Sri Lankan Buddhists must be vary of these attempts. The recent Buddhist organized by the Colombo Municipality / Rosy Senanayake in connection with Vesak Celebrations must be taken with grave suspicion. This is tantamount to ” Kapanna Bari Atha imbeema” – Kissing the hand that cannot be chopped!
