Do ordinary people know the prices of Cashew in the market ?
You hardly find cashew curries in weddings now a days as it so expensive
One Kilogram of ashew is over 4500 Rs .Ordinary people cannot buy Cashew for consumption?
No wonder why bankrupt Sri Lankan is buying cheap Cashew for passengers.
And yet when you see following news you wonder why Sri Lankan make money by buying below standard Cashew ??

Sirisena is a nut case.
Are these cashews Sri Lankan?

Foolish leader washing the dirt in public. This is not a leadership quality. This fellow damaged the image of the national carrier further. In another country this public blame will be accounted as anti-national. In Australia even ordinary passengers will not do such thing to Qantas.

I agree with shiranthe and Christie both. This guy is a shame for srilanka. He made Sri Lanka upside down with his gramasevaka style governing. I asked our people reject this guy in wholesale in the next Presidential election for gods sake. He hasn’t done anything to this country except taking revenge from people who brought us freedom and right to live as good citizens. Only his hakara mouth but no action. Instead of taking decisions in the cabinet he blames his ministers and others in the public stage. What a shameful President he is? We need a people’s power stronger than ever to topple this guy and his government of crooks and swindlers. They loot in wholesale and enjoy luxury life without any concerns for the poor. Damn these hypocrits.

Sirisena should have had the good sense to sort this issue internally without vilifying the national carrier publicly. He has done irreparable damage to the once very highly rated service record of the Sri Lankan. He is a snake while in Colombo and a fox in lion’s clothing when in a remote corner of the island.
This shows that he has no fear or shame left to do any dirty deed if only to promote his ego. From the time he entered the office and took the oath of office as the President of Sri Lanka, what shameful things he has done are without precedent.
He went on to appoint a PM with no majority in the parliament and that too without even letting the incumbent know that he has been replaced. Then he went on to replace the Chief Justice in the same fashion.
He literally looked the other while Ranil took the Central Bank under his authority, appoint a foreigner as the Governor of the Central Bank and allowed two Bank Scams to take place while taking all precautions to let them escape firstly due legal scrutiny and then let the clutches of the law and due process. He initiated a Presidential Commission and yet allow the main culprit in hand escape.
The local mastermind Ranil who provided all the background, guidelines and resources for the daylight robbery is still a free man.
During his tenure of office so far he has done everything possible under the sun to denigrate our nation, our Ranaviruwoes, our honor, Buddhism and Buddhist priests, our national anthem and flag.
Whenever he goes overseas he is a disgrace to our nation. As Sri Lankans we are ashamed to have this imbecile for our President.

President Sirisena open air remark on Cashew nuts display he is the biggest nutty case not suitable to be elected as President of Sri Lanka. He does not have any diplomatic quality in life. He would have thought exposing his Cashew nuts case in public he will be come an hero like Gon Ranja. No Sira you show your back stabbing ability still continue by insulting your own National carrier. Instead he should summon the CEO of the Air line or Catering Service CEO of the Airline who were appointed with his knowledge or may not and warned him at the presidential office. For that Sira does not have the guts as he may have first permission from PM Ranil to do so.

SriLankan Airlines changes cashew supplier after President’s rage
Sri Lanka’s national airline said Wednesday (Sept 12) it has stopped serving cashews after the country’s president flew into a rage over nuts served to him on a flight to Colombo.
“Returning from Kathmandu, I was served some cashews on board a SriLankan flight, but it was so bad even a dog wouldn’t eat it,” Maithripala Sirisena said on Monday.
“I want to know who authorised the purchase of these nuts,” the president told a meeting of farmers.
An airline spokesman said it has responded by clearing its stock of cashews – only served in business class – and would change its Dubai-based supplier.

We have a Cashew Corporation also.but the price of SL cashew sold in SL is almost two times times the price of Indian Cashew which are of better quality. Anyway I do not believe that this episode has brought any negative publicity; it has brought about a world attention on matters regarding SL and Sri Lankan in particular. They compare it with the Korean airline involving its owner. I also had a very strange experience with regard to Sri Lankans serving of meals. I will not write about it here. That was after writing a critical comment in this site about someone.
A report by AFP was seen on the first page of a local news paper here today, I have taken a photograph of that in my mobile.
The current Sri lankan team appears to be doing good job with respect to the running the airline, if we disregard this episode as a mere distraction.

Crew made a mistake. They served the wrong packet. Simply forgot to check the label. They realised their mistake
when they saw the correct packet later on with the label for foxes.
