   In 2005 MR started a Solar village Hambantota. This was stopped by Ranil and his gang after they came into power in 2015. Congratulations for setting up a discussion on a development plan for Sri Lanka after the UNP had destroyed it for three years. Germany developed so well because they adopted to their constitution some of the ideas recommended by President Truman of the USA after the war. One of the most important was that of Democracy in the work place. He recommended that all corporations with over 2000 workers should have at least 51% of the Board comprising of workers. As a result the workers on the board protected the environment since it was their home, and made sure factories were not relocated. In the USA where President Truman’s recommendations were not accepted they shipped their factories abroad and destroyed their environmnet all in the name of profit. As world famous economis Dr. Richard Wolf has pointed out many times Capitalism does not work and neither does Communism. Please listen to his talks given below.

   None of this can save Sri Lanka as long as it remains divided into 9 pieces. How about 13A?

   Tea industry is a destructive and loss making industry. There is no way of saving the environment while keeping it. Uprooting tea plantations in catchment and near catchment areas is the only way.

   In my view, this is nothing but getting ready for a possible general election.

   Agree with Dilrook. A few other things we must do to protect the country.
   1.0 Introduce biological control of mosquitoes as Cuba has done. Unless we remove mosquito-borne diseases like Malaria, Dengue etc. all development will be to no avail.
   2.0 As the USA has done introduce strong controls at the border. We do not have to go to the extent of gassing people and separating children from parents as the USA has done. Otherwise, as we develop our country the teeming millions of untouchables and the Muslim brethren from the Maldives, and Bangladesh will pour in with a lot of help from the Tamils, and Muslims.
   3.0 Gradually remove tourism. It brings in money but also bring in the Pedophiles, Homosexuals and also a lot of diseases such as AIDs, and other sexually transmitted diseases. We must take steps to remove people who have illegally come into the country and settled down in Sri Lanka.
   4.0 Develop retirement homes for the elderly which should be funded by the government. The tradition of looking after parents is disappearing due to Western values brought in from the 1970s by the UNP and continues by the Neoliberal policies of Ranil and company.

   Illegals create multiple problems. Terrorism, demographic change, economic drain, violence, narcotics, unsustainable towns, stress on infrastructure and the environment, etc.

   Fully agree with points 2.0 and 4.0 of Cerberus.

   Regarding the convening of the Sri Lanka Jathika Maha Sabhawa by Ra tana Himi, I agree with Dilrook …. This is just another scam by Ratana Himi targeting the next General Election.

   Perhaps Ratana Himi does not realize it, but he is DAMAGED GOODS being partly responsible for the REGIME CHANGE of Jan 8, 2015 that precipitated the Yamapalana DISASTER!

   Ratana Himi, Rajitha Senaratne and Champaka Ranawaka were the THREE BLIND MICE who weaned a portion of the Sinhala Buddhist voters away from MR to bring about the Yamapalana Victory of Jan 8, 2018.

   We REMEMBER his ANTICS INIMICAL to the Sinhala Buddhist community very well; he will NOT HAVE Sinhala Buddhist support again! GOOD RIDDANCE to BAD RUBBISH!

   මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා අද (02) උදේ රාජගිරියේ පිහිටි සදහම් සෙවණ ජාත්‍යන්තර බෞද්ධ මධ්‍යස්ථානයට පැමිණ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී අතුරලියේ රතන හිමියෝ හමුවිය. අගමැතිවරයා විනාඩි 20 ක් පමණ සදහම් සෙවණ ජාත්‍යන්තර බෞද්ධ මධ්‍යස්ථානයේ රැදී සිටියේය.

   රතන හිමි පසුගිය 30 වනදා පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේදී ප්‍රකාශ කලේ කෙටි කාලයකට සියකු පක්ෂ එක්වි ආණ්ඩුවක් පිහිටුවිය යුතු බවයි. ‘රට ගොඩනගන ජාතික පිළිවෙත’ එළිදැක්වීමේ ජාතික සභාව නමින් විශේෂ හමුවක් අද එම බෞද්ධ මධ්‍යස්ථානයේ සංවිධානය කර තිබුණි. එම අවස්ථාවට දිනේෂ් ගුණවර්ධන, උදය ගම්මන්පිල, හිටපු අමාත්‍ය බැසිල් රාජපක්ෂ යන මහත්වරුන් සමඟ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී වසන්ත සේනානායක මහතා ද සහභාගි විය.
