What a joke! Why have executive presidency if the president cannot punish such obvious crooks?
The real reason for this fraud and why culprits cannot be punished is executive presidency itself.
They were all appointed by the EP and Ranil was allowed to tap into EP’s powers of immunity.
The same goes for the other massive fraud – the ‘sil redi’ fraud. Lalith and the other convicted criminal were acting on the intstructions of the EP.
