Valachchenai paper factory releases first stock of paper to the market

The first batch of paper produced at the closed Valachchenai Paper Mill was released to the market today.

Accordingly 40 tons of paper was released to the market.

   Let the Government Printer and State Printing Corporation buy all paper made at Valachchenai Paper Mill for state use. At the very start of Valachchenai and Ebilipitiya Paper Mills products were used to print Government Gazettes and School books. Quality of these papers & cover Paper are good. Eventually both mills can upgrade to produce gloss finish paper & box. As a printer I used both Valachchenai and Ebilipitiya Mills Paper & Box Board products when head Office was located at Yoke Street in Fort and subsequently at Union Place corner of Hide Park.
