When thousands of people were killed during the Tamil Tiger reign the Cardinal and the Catholic church did not utter a word. The LTTE had plenty of money and some Catholic priests were their mouthpieces. When the Easter Sunday terrorists destroyed some churches, the Cardinal woke up from his deep slumber, obviously not out of sympathy for the dead and injured, but for the financial loss to the church. MONEY TALKS. The Catholic church is the biggest financial institute of the world.

Sarath W,
Exactly as the wahabi doctor prescribed!.
And also expected by the complicit politicos.
How many Catholics fought for the liberation of the country?. There was no religion then. The LTTE project was, and is a Dravidian one; it transcended barriers of religion as can be seen from BBC’s Ambarasan’s report and pictures today. They want to finish off Sinhalals. I have seen the reaction of other Indians during the last days; some even refused to believe that Velu was dead.
Your attempt to divide Sinhalas further for whatever reason will ruin the country at the end. And that day is not too far from the way we are progressing.
