Linkedin – In the second half of 2023, over 46 million fake accounts that were removed from LinkedIn

Facebook-; Estimates that 4-5% of those accounts are fake, meaning there may be as many as 150 million fake accounts.7 Feb 2024

Google-;  Prevented over 170 million policy-violating reviews and removed 12 million fake business profiles

X – Twitter-; 20 million fake Twitter accounts. With a reported 500 million registered users, that comes out to roughly 4% of all Twitter accounts being fake (bots).

Which Dating Site has the most fake profiles?

Facebook was mentioned the most as a Google Search suggestion for the topic of fake profiles; Tinder was the second most mentioned platform. Comparing only dating platforms, Tinder had the highest number of mentions—12—while Badoo came in second place with just 4 mentions.

YouGov has revealed that around 78% of female users on such platforms encounter fake profiles.5 Sept 2024

When Ashely Madison was hacked, a few reporters had the data analyzed, it was about 96% fake, and you can assume Tinder isn’t too far off.
