Sajith urges govt. to protect judges, journalists and public

Opposition and SJB Leader Sajith Premadasa yesterday called on the government to ensure increased security for judges, as well as the public, and especially journalists.

Premadasa said that protection must be given to journalists such as Chamuditha Samarawickrama acing threats at present.

Referring to Tuesday’s shooting inside a courthouse, the Opposition Leader said: I request the government not to withdraw security provided to judges. I also request them to make more efforts to ensure public safety,” he said.
