No sooner I read this comment of yours in the Mirror: ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-It is also interesting to contrast the GovernmentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s insistence in the UN Human Rights Council that it should be left entirely alone to conduct its own inquiry, with its strong support for an international investigation into IsraelƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s killing of nine people in the raid on the Gaza flotilla carrying humanitarian aid.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sri Lanka apparently feels so strongly that international measures are needed in relation to Israel that its ambassador to the UN in ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ New York is the Chairman of the so-called Group of Three currently carrying out an international investigation into IsraelƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s activities.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ I believe there are strong grounds for international action in both cases,ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ I thought that this Sri Lanka niggling perverse Professor has got his knickers in a knot again.
I have written to you before to point out how wrong you have been when it comes to your dealing with matters related to Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ You have a bad case of Sri Lankantitis.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The remedy for this affliction Philip is, take a deep breath and let Sri Lanka go out of your system like a holistic laxative.
Here is my problem with your comment this time around on Sri Lanka. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ With your hurry to spit fire on Sri Lanka you have conveniently skipped the fact that Israel unlike Sri Lanka has a number of UN resolutions calling it to comply with acceptable international norms when they treat people in the occupied territories.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ And as a Professor if you roll back to your Geopolitical History 101 days your memory would very likely remind you that Sri Lanka does not occupy any one elseƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s territory.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Got it Philip?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Nor has any international body adopted any resolutions against Sri Lanka. Did you get that one too Philip? And then Philip, the reason for an international investigation into the raid on the Gaza flotilla was because the flotilla was attacked in the high seas by the Israel commandos who carried photographs of the activists who had to be eliminated and nine peaceful activists were executed in cold blood.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ That is why, you silly Professor! So what is your problem, stupid Professor?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Remember, Sri Lanka has never invaded another country.
Having pro-Israel prejudices it also seems to irk you, that Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Ambassador in NY is leading a delegation of three ambassadors to the UN to investigate Israeli practices in the occupied territories.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Philip, you are certainly out of order when you refuse to recognize the committee of three with Sri Lanka as its chair which was established over 30 years ago by a resolution of the General Assembly.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Philip, you are certainly getting senile for your job.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Why donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t you give it up for GodƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s sake?

With this type of “professors” who have no real idea about what they are talking, what can one expect from the UN? UN has gone to dogs for sure! Ban has lost my confidence a long time ago. UN has become a biased and partisan body willing to raise ethnic strife in countries like Sri Lanka to please those with vested interests in terrorism when they should be rather supporting and helping the democratically elected government for having got rid of the LTTE terrorists and bringing peace to all citizens, Tamils, Sinhalese and Muslims alike. It appears that lot of terrorist pleasers have found their way into the UN.

Prof. Philip Alston is a GOAT & A HALF to have said that comment of equating Inrael’s and Sri Lankan issues to be the same not realising the fact that:
1)Raid on the Gaza flotilla was because the flotilla was attacked in the high seas by the Israel commandos who carried photographs of the activists who had to be eliminated and nine peaceful activists were executed in cold blood,
BUT,
2) Sri Lanka ELIMINATED A TERRORIST GANG HAVING INTERNATIONAL BACKING WHO HAVE BEEN CARRYING OUT MASS KILLINGS OF INNOCENTS & DESTRUCTIONS ON SRI LANKAN SOIL OVER THE LAST 3 DECADES.
Any man with an IOTA of common sence would have realised this difference, but unfortunately Philip lacks that sence DUE TO BEING PREJUDISED & JEOLOUSY towards Sri Lanka the GREAT ISLAND.

I do not think Phil Alston is a fool nor is he ignorant of the truth. This is why he is dangerous for the well being of SriLanka. He could be deliberately distorting the truth to protect his position at the UN, by serving the needs of his masters who for some reason are furious that some Tiger Tamil Terrorists leaders were eliminated even though they were commiting crimes in SriLanka as well as Overseas for several decades. However, a section of Sri Lankans are hand in glove with people like Alston, Solheim, NaviPillai and they need to be brought to task even sooner than these foreign officials. Todate I have not heard Ranil and his small group who have hijacked the UNP, condemning or criticising the Tigers for the crimes commited though they blame the SriLankan Govt at every turn. Then I believe there are many individuals in SriLanka (funded by the LTTE and some Norweigians), who keep feeding the enemies of SriLanka with fabricated reports blaming the armed forces and the Govt. Till these people find other jobs or taken to task through the Courts, people like Alston, NaviPillai, Solheim will have sufficient bogus material to feed on.
