Ahmadiyya International Convention in U.K. concludes.
The 58th Jalsa Salana (Annual Convention) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the United Kingdom concluded on Sunday 28 July 2024 with faith-inspiring address by the World Head the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad.
Before the formal session, Mr. Rafiq Ahmad Hayat, Amir Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya UK, read out a message of goodwill, sent by King Charles III for the Jalsa attendees.
It reads:
Please convey my heartfelt thanks to the Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community U.K. for their loyal greetings sent on the occasion of this year’s Annual Convention,, which is being held at Hadeeqathul Mahdi, Oaklands Farm, in Hampshire.
I deeply appreciate your message and the Community’s continued support. The dedication shown by all involved in organizing this significant event to bring together members of the community and celebrate the values of peace, unity and fellowship is commendable. It is most heartening to hear that His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad will be present, offering his wisdom and guidance throughout the convention.
In return, I send warmest good wishes to you all for a successful event.”

It was also announced by Mr. Rafiq Ahmad Hayat that Nicolo Govoni has been nominated for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Peace Prize for the year 2024.
During his concluding address, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad initiated his address by acknowledging the depth and breadth of the topic concerning the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. He mentioned that despite the vastness of the subject, he would present key extracts illustrating the true status of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) elucidated by the Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad – Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Islam.
Ahmadiyya Khalifa described the Promised Messiah’s profound love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) stating it was characterised by complete self-effacement [fana] in the Holy Prophet’s love. He highlighted how the Promised Messiah (peace be on him) set a path for attaining true love and devotion to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), providing guidance that could enlighten even those who opposed his message.
More than 43,000 people representing 101 countries attended this three day Convention ( Jalsa Salana), which took place at Hadeeqatul Mahdi in Alton, Hampshire., United Kingdom.
Apart from the thousands of Ahmadi Muslims who participated, many non-Ahmadi and non-Muslim guests also attended. The entire event was also broadcast live on MTA International and streamed online.
One of the highlights of the three-day Jalsa Salana (Convention) was the pledge of allegiance, known as Bai’at that took place on Sunday (28 July) afternoon, where the participants pledged allegiance to Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad as the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph) of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him).
The participants formed a human chain leading to the Khalifa as they repeated the words of the pledge in unison.
Ahmadiyya Head already informed in his second day address announced that 238561 people had joined the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community during the past year from all around the world. He also announced that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was now established in 214 countries. Taiwan is the new country wherein seed of Ahmadiyyat sown.
On 27 July 2024: Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad,, arrived at the Lajna (Ladies) marquee for his address. He admonished to uphold highest examples of worship and modesty for their children’s reformation (tarbiyat).
On Saturday 27th July 2024, Ahmadiyya Khalifa in his main address of the second day of the convention highlighted the continuous progress of Islam Ahmadiyyat.
The three convention was inaugurated by Ahmadiyya Khalifa on last Friday (26th July 2024) His Holiness hoisted the Liwa-e-Ahmadiyyat (Flag of Ahmadiyyat).
His Holiness’ inaugural address, the main topic was, Taqwa (God-fearing) is the root of all good deeds:\.
Faith and worldly affairs cannot coexist except in the case where Allah wills and makes a person’s nature so virtuous that even while engaging in worldly business, they still prioritise their faith…………”
A significant portion of His Holiness address was dedicated to discussing taqwa, or righteousness, which he identified as the foundation of all moral and spiritual virtues.
In his final address last Sunday, His Holiness concluded by saying:
It is the task and responsibility of Ahmadi Muslims to inform the world of the benefits of the true peaceful teachings of Islam. May Allah enable us to do so and grant sense to the world.”
The Convention (Jalsa Salana) concluded with a silent prayer led by His Holiness.
