ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Channel 4 film appear to be ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ propaganda material in favour of Tamil ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ racistƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ terrorists and anti GOSL. The film appear to be a carefully and expertly crafted piece of propaganda warfare material supporting Tamil terrorists, designed to deceive the gullible. The film is merely drama and propaganda material (reasons given below), to be used by enemies of Sri Lanka, and cannot be taken seriously.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The truth is that ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sri Lankans suffered for 30 years under terrorism, where the source of funding was Western countries. The native Sri Lankans were fighting for survival to keep their only home land and the terrorists were fighting to expand their territory in Tamil Nadu, emulating previous Chola invasions on Sri Lanka. Indians created, funded and supported the LTTE racist terrorists.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Tamil Nadu, home of Tamils, provided support, training, finance and propaganda for the terrorists. Further Tamil Nadu formed a key link in the supply chain for weaponsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ for the terrorists. LTTE terrorists smashed the heads of Sinhala babies and removed the guts of Sinhala women at the Dollar and Kent farm [1]. The Tamil terrorists killed 600 Police officers that surrendered to them [3].
According to eye witnesses, the Police Officers were blind folded and shot at close range. Large number of Tamils who opposed the racist nature of LTTE have been killed by the Tamils [6]. The Mayor of Jaffna , a Tamil was killed by LTTE. C4 did not ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ appear to be keen on exposing the killing by terrorists or their source of funding. If C4 was genuine, C4 should have investigated the killing, mayhem caused by the terrorists rather than hounding the victim Sri Lanka.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ C4 has ignored over millions of civilians killed by Western military in Iraq, large number of civilians killed by Drones in Afghanistan, number of civilians killed in Libya. We also remember that USA nuclear bombed Japan killing civilians, allied forces fire bombed Dresden killing civilians. In Sri Lanka, British forces created a killing field by killing all young males and destroyed the irrigation infrastructure in Sri LanaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Uva province to suppress a rebellion. C4 film is simply one sided biased pro terrorist propaganda film.
Let us see what the Americans did to an unarmed old man ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” Bin Laden. Media reports indicate that he was killed in front of his relatives. Either the C4 is unaware of what the Western military is up to or they are shameless hypocrites out to fool the world.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Americans killed the unarmed captive Bin Laden.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Legal opinion isƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ “Killing a captive who poses no immediate threat is a crime under military law as well as all other law,” Over millions have been killed unlawfully, in pursuit of oil assets in Iraq. Yet Channel 4 has been silent. It is far better to expose the killing fields in Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam etc rather than trying to bully a Government that acted in self defence that defeated terrorism and saved many lives.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Experts have indicated that the footage of the video is fake. Recently even the BBC was found to broadcast fake video in relation to Primark [2]. In the past, there have been many cases of deception and lies by British media. It is likely the footage of C4 film is fake, as indicated by experts. Further, as LTTE also had heavy weapons, LTTE themselves may have shelledƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the hospitals to blame GOSL LTTE have carried out actions previously to blame GOSL. We have to bear in mind that LTTE was known as the most ruthless terrorist organisation that carried out forgery, deception , fraud with impunity. LTTE ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ have killed fleeing civilians. With LTTE any thing is possible. Evidence of LTTE torture chambers have also been uncovered.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is possible thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ some of the scenes are of the LTTE torturing and killing Tamils suspected of having collaborated with the SL forces. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Another possibility is that LTTE may have taken the uniforms of captive Sri Lankan soldiers, worn it them selves and then kill the captives. With the expertise in deception, LTTE have demonstrated, anything is possible. It also has to be remembered thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ with modern technology, image and soundƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ manipulation, it is possible toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ create scenes that appear to be real.
Western nations do not have a monopoly on morality. They have a track record of barbaric conduct on fellow humans such as inventing slavery, inventing and using of weapons of mass destruction such as chemical weapons and nuclear weapons, genocide of Native American Indians, creating killing fields in Vietnam and Iraq, ill treatment of humans. Hypocritical Western media or their Politicians are in no position to lecture Sri Lankans on human rights and morality.
GOSL had a zero civilianƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ casualty aim, and in a war situation, it is possible that accidents may have taken place, I do not think killing civilians would be endorsed by any civilized person, but Western nations are experts in killing civilians as is shown by killing of ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ native Americans by the ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Spanish, fire bombing of Dresden, Nuclear bombing in Japan, killing fields in Vietnam, My Lai incident, Abu Gharib torture and Prisoner abuse , ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ killing civilians in Iraq etc . ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Hearing C4 is similar to getting lessons on morality from pick pockets, thieves and murderers. Prof. Wijesinghe has responded clearly to false accusation by C4 [7].
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Terrorism could have been avoided, if the money supply to the terrorists were suppressed. In order to see who is responsible, source of money need to be traced and followed. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Source of money would indicate if theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ source is an organised crime group, a terrorist organisation or a combination of both. Terrorist organisations need money to keep going, to recruit and train terrorists, for propaganda purposes, to purchase weapons, to buy off politicians , media and influence, paying operatives, buying supplies. If the money supply was suppressed the ability for a terror organizationƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ to operate is reduced. LTTE head office was in London and the sources of finance for the terrorists were UK, EU, Canada, USA and Australia. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Rather than an investigation of Sri Lanka, C4 should have carried out an investigation on the source of funding, terrorist influence on UN and terrorist influence on UK politicians and media.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ C4 videoƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ showsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ evidence for ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ hypocrisy and double standards of Channel 4 and some UN officials. Millions have been killed by Western imperialists who have invaded foreign countries to steal their natural resources. Sr Lanka was sinp;y defending itself from Tamil racists hell bent on expanding their Tamil territory. Although I am opposed to harming civilians, comparatively minor collateral damage done whilst saving the country from terrorism is justifiable. The C4 film completely lacks in recognizing the truth, that the Sinhalese are the ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ victims of a Tamil racist expansionist scheme.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is likely that British media is full of fakes and untrustworthy media publications ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ manipulated by interested parties for their ownƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ gains, financial or otherwise.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is pathetic that JournalistsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and Politicians, who have not the faintest idea of the true situation in Sri Lanka, are happy to parrot LTTE propaganda, made available to them by LTTE sympathizers , to score points or for financial gain.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is clear that the Channel 4 video is simply one sided, biased,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ propaganda material for the terrorist group LTTE, with likely fake footage and with no definitive evidence, as the shelling and killing could have been carried out by LTTE to blame GOSL .Also important to bear in mind that more serious killing carried out by Western nations have been ignored and these killing need to be investigated first, before any accusations are made against Sri Lankans, who were simply defending themselves.

In the video LTTE terrorists are missing. Not a single LTTE terrorist was in the film. How?
Further British Privy Council refused to accept sound recordings and photographs as evidences against the people involved in the coup of 1960 against the government of Madame Sri Mavo Bandaranayake. Do the Brits now expect this fake video as evidence of anything?
Even the soldiers did anything, it is the matter for the SL government to investigate and not the British!
How can Brits bark against SL while they harbour a LTTE criminal Adale Balasingam in Britain? Balasingam was in-charge to many torture camps in Jaffna where thousands of Tamil women who were from the families of anti-LTTE groups, were raped and killed by LTTE!

Also Pls. go to BBC Sinhala service audio stream site since I had a interview with BBC re. the rebuttal I made… I spoke to senior BBC executives re. how UK Broadcast standards gone down with this kind of monkey business.. since ch4 got equipment to authenticate the video and can be done in 10 minutes… I was involved with Ch4 Broadcast design when the ch4 started and know what they got.

The last paragraph is absolute rubbish. We are doing well economically and we have correct strategy. Ben Silva should stay in the UK and write to his channel 4 rather than insulting Sri Lanka and Buddhism.

Thank you Ben. Your words are right on the money. Channel 4 is simply the mouth-piece for the terrorist group LTTE. The Tamil terrorists seems to own politicians in the UK. It is really a shame to see how a group of terrorists can run such a successful propaganda campaign. You are also right to say that we Sri Lankans need to realize the terrorist war is still not over. The effort needed to counter the LTTE activities is enormous. We need to have a better strategy of dealing with this. Even in the U.S. LTTE propaganda is regurgitated by so-called human rights activists while the west continues to violate human rights of millions around the world. Google ‘Lara Stemple regurgitates Tamil Terror Propaganda’. I tried to highlight the hypocrisy of Americans here Google ‘Geopolitical Implications U.S. will struggle to combat terror even after Osama is long gone’. We gringos love to preach to others. But we never follow our own advice. It’s a shame and a big scam. Most Sri Lankans here are pretty inactive or don’t seems to understand what needs to be done. But you seem to get it. A documentary showing the American army command was complicit in the killing of a further 3,000 prisoners who were separated out from the total of 8,000 POWs and transported to a prison compound in the town of Shibarghan, was aired in Germany in 2002. It was covered-up nicely by the West:

1.Thousands of village boys who faught and died for the country;
2. General Shavindra Silva spoken recently defeating Channel 4;

Mr.Ben, next time you write about Sri Lanka, don’t limit your sympathies to Sinhala people. think about all communities who live in Sri Lanka.
When ancestors of your British neighbors lived in caves and ate uncooked meat, Sri Lankan men were building major irrigation projects and women wore ornate gold. There children studies languages, medicine and philosophy.
Sri Lanka is a nation with a great history and a bright future. Don’t judge nations by absurd GNP, GDP and PER CAPITA figures published in Europe. Think of quality of life. Think of Love, kindness, caring, community, happiness and empathy. Perhaps you have lived too long in a nation where QUALITY OF LIFE is only judged by assets accumulated. There is much more to life than that.
Nations like USA is in decline. So are many nations on Europe. Only way they can sustain their artificial standards of life is robbing Asians and Africans. Can’t you see what is happening in Libya? European and American beggars are murdering thousands to rob oil.
The SRI LANKAN FORCES has proved to be the most disciplined military force in planet. They saved 300,000 lives from the clutches of LTTE. Saved a nation. Destroyed world’s most vicious terror gang. They acted with great dignity and humanity. Be proud of them.
