Former President Chandrika B.K. or former Prime Minister Ranil W. must explain to the Sri Lankans whether it was a bad dream or a comedy the drama they played during the time of Presidency of CBK.

BATALANDA

President CBK appointed a commission to report back to her on the accusations of mass murder at Batalanda. That commission was known as Batalanda Commission. The report was handed over to the President but it was not released to the public. The writer met with the Buddhist monks at the Sinharaja Aranya who witnessed the exhuming of the mass grave. There were MANA sticks mixed with the soil and the news reporters jumped into conclusion that they were human bones without any forensic reports and it was published that they discovered human bones in the mass grave.

AIR LANKA DEAL

President CBK sold 49% of the shares to Emirates while the line minister Dharmasiri Senanayake was away from the country. The chairman was Harry j who was very well benefitted with the CBKƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s administration and there by CBK did not have to share any commission money with Harry J. As the line minister was away from the country, Dharmasiri Senanayake was also missed out any commission money. The Air Lanka deal was signed and sealed in secrecy without the cabinet approval, without the knowledge of the chairman and the minister. There were allegations against CBK that it was US$ 200 million CBK took from Emirates. Air Lanka administration must go to Emirates. Emirates were only interested in taking over the established routes of Air Lanka and Emirates wanted Air Lanka go down the gurgler.

Harry J was a very well known names dropper. It was widely known fact that dirty Harry arranges a woman to ring Harry when he was at a meeting with bank Managers on the interview for bank loans. Harry answers the phone call and says ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Chandrika, I am with the bank manager over that bank loan I told you about.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ Dirty Harry then said to the bank manager that it was President who rang me and Chandrika wants you to approve this loan. The bank manager starts trembling in his boots and approves the loan immediately. That is what is called dirty HarryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s trick.

Harry J played that trick with President Rajapakse also. This time it backfired on him. MRƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s name dropping was reported to MR and he warned dirty Harry not to play that trick on him and made a public statement that dirty Harry was no friend of the President and he never rang dirty Harry. Dirty Harry realised that he can fool some people some of the time and not all the people all the time.

Ranil W wanted CBK to produce before the parliament the Air Lanka deal. Then CBK black mails RW saying she will release the Batalanda report. RW shuts his mouth. The tax payers get no chance in getting the Batalanda Commission report or the Air Lanka deal. That was the drama CBK and RW played until CBK retired. The people are wondering whether they saw a bad dream or a comedy played by RW and CBK. One thing is for sure that dirty Harry goes on regardless of who is coming and who is going.
