PRESIDENT RAJAPAKSA TO VISIT NEPAL ON THURSDAY

President Mahinda Rajapaksa will visit Nepal on a two day official visit to continue his journey which had to be disrupted due to the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore Pakistan , a Nepalese news service announced.
The news service said the Sri Lankan leader will arrive in Kathmandu, Thursday , and this time visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Gauthama the Buddha and inaugurate a Buddhist monastery constructed by Sri Lanka.
During his last visit, he had to cut short his three day visit and left without participating in the Buddhist ceremony at Lumbini.
During his two day visit Rajapaksa is scheduled to meet his Nepalese counterpart Dr. Ram Baran Yadav and Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal.
