JO’s Janabalaya Protest Brings Thousands to Colombo

The Joint Opposition staged a mass protest against the Government in Colombo today that saw thousands of their supporters flood the city centre.

The protest was led by former President Mahinda Rajapaksa with his son Namal and younger brother Gotabaya among the participants.

Several Members of Parliament from the group as well as some of the breakaway SLFP “Group of 16” were also among the participants
