THERE IS ONLY ONE SRI LANKA
AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE SO

There should not be a Separate Tamil State. Sinhalese and Tamils have
lived together in perfect harmony for centuries. We have fought together,
worked together and enjoyed together in this paradise land. It was only
after the westerners invaded us that a wedge was created between us
for the dirty game of divide and rule policy. The poison of ethnic difference
was implanted and took its worst turn when the idiotic politicians started
thinking in lines of ethnic division for their benefit of enjoying power
and advantages.
Even today majority of Tamils live in Sinhala dominant areas with no
discrimination and hassles. They have the freedom to indulge in their
religious or cultural practices of their own. They have the freedom
to own land and do their businesses as they want. The towns are named
in Tamil words and streets are named after Tamil leaders in Sinhala
dominant areas. But do we see any Sinhaleese living in the North, any
town in the north carrying a Sinhala name and are the sinhaleese allowed
to purchase land, or for that matter to travel freely in that area?
What happened to the Sinhalese who were living in those areas? What
happened to their land and their religious places of worship? The dirty
terrorism has led the way to ethnic cleansing and ethnic hatred severing
all the bonds that the two communities had. Those Sinhalese from the
north and the East were effectively and tactfully eliminated initially
in the early 1980s and others in bordering areas are being chased away.
Sinhalese have suffered as much if not more than the Tamil race in the
face of terrorism. It is time to stop the suffering of all Sri Lankans.
This tragic situation has to change, Tamils! look at the way your children
are being robbed from you and trained as blood thirsty criminals, your
females are robbed of their right to be mothers and converted to be
murderers and suicide bombers, Your elders and feeble are made to fight
a war that they have had enough. Generations are exposed to nothing
but fear and terror and have being robbed of their life. Your community
is being gradually destroyed and will be eliminated if these activities
are not stopped.
There are more Tamils in cities in European countries, and Canada than
those in some towns in the Northern Sri Lanka. But are they going to
demand self rule and the right to determine their fate in those places?
They all work together with the others regardless of the ethnicity towards
the betterment of that country. This is exactly what should happen in
Sri Lanka. There is no point in trying to be identified as a different
ethnic group and be separated. We are all Sri Lankans and we should
all work towards the betterment of Sri Lanka our motherland. So my dear
brothers and sisters, put the past behind, rally around the government
to crush the terrorism that is busy destroying our nation and lets work
towards a happy life in a beautiful country. If one thinks in terms
of ethnicity only that you will be growling about being ruled by a Sinhalese
or some others. Try thinking in terms of one nation, Sri Lankans ruling
Sri Lankans and then it will be easier for you to come to terms with
this reality. Sri Lanka cannot be divided and will not be divided. It
has stayed ONE country and ONE nation it will stay that way forever.
