Sleeping With The Enemies

After being banned as a pariah and as a terrorist group by almost all the superpowers and the Europeans the mad butchers of the Wanni jungles seem to be desperate.

We in the US mid-west have been following the 4th Eelam war of the LTTE unfolding in the Paradise Island.

First the LTTE kills a bus load of school children, women and old men among others going about their business. Then they kills an army general. The mighty LTTE navy then tries to attack a SL Navy base in Kalpitiya and suffers humiliating losses at the hands of a few inshore navy craft and the SL air force. Some 4th Eelam war! This is turning out to be. (Soosai! you are next in Fat Prabha’s hit list. Find a place to run or better still join Karuna).

Then when they realize that the new armed forces of the GOSL are different to the ones they took-on a few years ago (SL now shoots first and then asks questions) they try to apologize to India for killing their great Son of India (who is also the grand son of Pundit Nehru and the son of Madam Ghandhi – who are true statemen)

Of particular interest is Ugly Anton’s apology in NDTV. Reading between lines one should realize that this is not just an apology but a veiled threat to India.

Quote” Conceding in so many words that the LTTE would find the going tough to convince India of its bonafides, he said "I think we are prepared to build a new understanding, a new relationship with the Government of India provided India makes a positive gesture. Everything is now up to India because we have already pledged that we will never to do anything against the geo-political interest of India. If the past is put aside and a new approach sought, then there is the possibility of India playing a positive active role in bringing a resolution to this conflict".Mr. Prabakaran at a press conference held on 10 April 2002, described the assassination of the late Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi, as a ``tragic'' incident but refused to answer any more questions on it. Unquote”

Ugly Anton is making a threat when he say that we have already pledged that we will never to do anything against the geo-political interest of India.

Of course if India does not help, will LTTE then go about their well known ways of trying to destabilize India and to incite the 60 million tamils in India to carve up a separate state in India too.

On a different note, I am sure military forces and the politicians in Sri Lankan can borrow a page from the recent events unfolding in the middle east. When one solitary Israel Soldier was kidnapped by the Palestinian militias, the Israel Army first cut off water and electricity to a million and a half people and then went in an captured almost the entire Hamas Cabinet.

Sri Lanka should not preach non-violence in the face of atrocities by the mad butchers. Cut the water & electricity first and then go in with all the military might and make life hell to Fat Prabha and Tamil Silva and the rest of the Tin Soldiers. Make it swift and make it stick. This is the only peace meeting the LTTE understands. One should realize right now Pat Prabha just has no where to run to. His last buddy in Norway is fed up too!

What do you think the international community would do. No one cares. They too are just fed up with the LTTE.
