JVP Should attend to home problems. It
is at least Israel Kafir fighters that are saving our army.
India cannot be relied upon, as India is too cowardly.

In a School of Journalism a lecturer said that we have so many bees
up our bonnet, but that would not interest the reading public. We have
to see what is actuality of the moment and write on it. This could be
said of the JVP leading a protest campaign against Israel. Israel’s
bombardments are a very sad ” war of reprisal” and non respect
for human rights, devastation of a whole country for a simple abduction
of two Israel soldiers, which could have been settled in peaceful negotiations,
with the intervention of the champions of peaceful negations the International
Community .
The Human Rights lobby , and the Amnesty International who had been
making a big fuss about treatment of tiger terrorists of Sri Lanka,
have not made any statement with regard to Israel war against Hezbollah,
which resulted in deaths of civilians and demolition of Beirut in Lebanon
and massacre in Qana .
But in Sri Lanka we have terrorists pounding the Sri Lanka army and
the Champions of peace negotiations the International Community, seem
not to have heard of what is going on in this small Island. However,
the American Ambassador had made a lopsided statement, about a tiger
festival held in America flying a tiger terrorist flag, saying that
they were not aware of a festival by the LTTE terrorists, and that flying
any flag is not prohibited in USA. We should ask the Ambassador, whether
the USA would allow any festival by American Muslims to fly a flag of
the Al-Qheda terrorists. These are diplomatic statements made without
serious considerations and should be condemned.
Surprisingly, we have not heard our own Human Rights Champions, Jehan
Perera, Kumar Rupasinghe and the political analyst Viyangoda, making
any statements with regard to Israel attack on Hezbollah. They may be
in the process of writing their scholarly articles for the foreign press.
However, K.Ratnayake of the World Socialist Web site carries a long
article about the government’s motivation for bombing LTTE tiger
posts on the small question of “opening a sluice gate ” to
let out water. And also worrying about the existence of the CFA or not.
When we take all these into consideration, should not the JVP a party
of intelligent young men, upholding socialism and “ doubtfully”
supporting the Government of Mr.M.Rajapakse -the President of Sri Lanka,
pay more attention to home politics, and help the President and the
government find a way out of the situation ? Is it worth bringing on
the wrath of the International Community, and have no one to assist
us to get rid of the ruthless terrorists ?
The International Community are the makers and “un-makers”
of governments. We have seen it happening. There are no two world powers
now, there is one world power; The UNO is non existent (almost) or just
following the footsteps of the big power. Therefore, as we are, we cannot
afford to go against the International Community. It is not India that
is going to help us. Indian government is too cowardly even to make
a friendly statement, let alone take any anti LTTE terrorist decision.
It is only the Israel made Kafir fighters that are our saviours. The
pro-LTTE terrorist SLMM is breaking up and some of them are preparing
baggage to go. Therefore, as things are, the JVP should not try to be
the saviours of the world problems. Please try to attend to our own
Sri Lanka problem in a more positive way.
