FINNS AND DANES ARE LEAVING SRI LANKA AS THEIR LIVES ARE ON THE LINE

Your report 'Finns and Danes will leave Sri Lanka' (July 29-30) is
calculatedly misleading. It informs that Finns and Danes will pull out
of the SLMM, but studiously avoid informing as to the reason why. In
fact they are pulling out because LTTE racist terrorists demand that
they quit or face serious consequences. In other words, if they fail
to vacate, they will be placed on their hit list. And why pray are they
targeted for assassinations just now? Because EU has listed LTTE as
a terrorist organisation and Danes and Finns are member of EU. Obviously
LTTE terrorists prefer to fill the SLMM with members of their pet nation,
i.e. their patron and financial backer. And I don't need to spell out
who that nation is?
But then, these are not terrorist for your daily, they are simply 'rebels'.
Terrorist are those who bomb trains in Madrid, London and elsewhere
in Europe. In a nutshell, going by your daily, those that target white
Europeans are terrorists and those bumping off brown Asians evidently
are not. So in order to veil and cover up LTTE intimidations, you give
a deceptive version of the facts.
Inescapably you have a duel policy on terrorism and I pointed that
out in my letter dated 03-05-2006. But due to your implicit support
of LTTE terrorist these never find their way to print. I bet this letter
will meet the same fate. No wonder we consider your paper to be a propaganda
rag rather than one that present facts. But no problem, we will make
it a point to inform the world at large; of you own a duel policy on
terrorism, through other available media. After all, you can't cheat
all the people all the time.
