INDIA – SRI LANKA NEEDS ACTION NOT FANCY WORDS

Lucky Peiris UK

LTTE negotiator Anton Balasingham had spoken to NDTV and termed Rajiv's death "a monumental tragedy". Dr. Subramaniam Swamy, President of the Janatha Party in India, denouncing the statement as and an insult to the (Indian) nation, had stated that Balasinghams description of that dastardly act in Sriperumbudur in May 1991 as a "monumental historical tragedy" is silly and may be indicative of dementia developing in him as a consequence of the almost complete international isolation of his murderous organization. Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma, has said Balasingham's statement was a 'confession on their part of their complicity in the assassination of our former prime minister.

It is surprising that it has taken over two decades for Dr. Subramaniam and Mr Sharma to realise Balsingham’s loss of mental faculties. Balasingham, Prabahkaran, the murderous despot maniac and his cyanide neck laced vermin are not human beings. They do not only suffer from dementia but they are deranged, murderous psychopaths. This sick old psychopaths days are numbered. He is kept alive only by the medical facilities in the UK made available by the benevolence of the British taxpayer and the blood money of thousands of innocent men women and children in Sri Lanka. The bells have started to ring, and he is seeing visions of the demons, as he nears death.

India should tell the LTTE terrorists "deep regrets", do not suffice. They must immediately hand over to the Indian authorities, the LTTE leaders who are charge-sheeted and declared proclaimed offenders, wanted for the murder of Rajiv Gandhi, the late Indian prime minister. These assassins have to serve time behind bars, eating ‘Thosai’ for the rest of their lives.

It should now be clear to the international community that the maniac hiding in the Wanni jungle, and his vermin are just biding time with rhetoric of peace talks. It should be the duty of the International Community, plagued with terrorists and terrorism in the world not to call but demand India, the regional power to act immediately, and do everything in its power to go apprehend these murderers and help the GOSL to wipe out the LTTE terrorists. Of course, the LTTE murderers thanked India and Rajive in particular by assassinating him.

The Indian Foreign Ministry should stop making "double-tongued" statements,

The Government of India is deeply concerned at the recent escalation in violence in the Eastern part of Sri Lanka which has resulted in the ceasefire coming under serious strain"
the Indian authorities’ are convinced that violence is not the answer to any problem and that political dialogue is the only way to resolve outstanding issues.

Will the Indian Government accept a flawed ceasefire agreement with Kashmir terrorists? Will they agree to scrupulously adhere to the letter and spirit of a flawed Ceasefire Agreement signed without the consent of the majority of the people, in an open referendum?

In all the conflicts it has had, the Indian Government has used its military muscle to crush insurgents and terrorists.

Did the Indian government have a political dialogue with the Pakistan Government over Kashmir? Was the war with Pakistan enacted for the movies?

India too has been facing an insurgency by terrorists, called "Naxalites", for more than 20 years. It has become India’s most pressing security concern, and certainly one with the highest death toll.

Why have the Indian government put ‘The Salva Judum’ under review? What is the need for training a far more specialised police force? Why has the, Jungle Warfare Training College, under Brigadier BK Ponwar, a veteran counter-insurgency expert being moved from the northeast state of Mizoram to train Chhattisgarh's police? Why did Brig Ponwar say, "The police have to change from conventional policing to unconventional policing, get out of police station into the jungle, fight a guerrilla like a guerrilla and the time has come to go into combat.'

Why are the Indians practicing a different approach and preaching a different dogma to the Sri Lankans?

How do you have the nerve to request a democratically elected government of a sovereign state to sit at peace talks with a bunch of less than 10,000 cyanide neck laced, suicide bombing terrorist scum led by a megalomaniac dictator, who were responsible for the murder of Indian prime minister Rajive Ghandhi and hundreds of Indian peace keeping soldiers. The Indian government seems to have a very short memory. India is responsible and must take the blame for feeding, sheltering, training, fostering, and arming the LTTE terrorist scum. To further their political ambitions, Indian leaders played to the gallery conceding to the whims of Tamil Nadu politicians.

When the GOSL armed forces, with all the limited resources had the LTTE terrorists cornered and at their mercy, it was the Indian government which broke international protocol and agreements, flew over Sri Lankan air space with threats, dropped food, aid and provided the escape route for these LTTE terrorist, murderers. Of course, the LTTE murderers thanked India and Rajive in particular by assassinating him.

The only positive action, the Indian Government has done is banning the LTTE. This is to appease the Indian Public as they will demand to know how followers of a murderer wanted in India are allowed the freedom to roam in India. If India wants to show leadership as a key player in the Asian continent, the Indian government should be honest and stop shedding crocodile tears and having dubious concerns. Take responsibility for the murderous vermin, they nurtured in infancy. Their vile creation has become a monster of death and destruction and it is their duty to destroy it.

India has seen the conflict from the beginning. They are fully aware who is right and who is wrong. The LTTE claims to be the sole representative of the Tamil people, however India is quite aware of the truth. The Tamils are prisoners of these murderous vermin and they have to be liberated, but India is wavering. India are in a position to help the GOSL to obliterate the LTTE terrorists, with intelligence information, weapons and most of all informing the world community that they are not prepared to have their neighbour harassed and burdened by a ruthless band of terrorists and terror activities.

The Indian Prime Minister had said that India would extend its unstinted support to Sri Lanka whenever necessary to resolve the terrorist problem (the demon of their creation) that confronts Sri Lanka. When Sri Lanka sought Indian help to boost its defence forces to be able to take on the terrorists, they hesitate to offer anything beyond training and non-lethal military equipment. Is this unstinted support! India should not wait for the Sri Lankan government to call on them for help in averting a return to all-out war with the terrorists. It is the duty of India, who are guilty by default to take responsibility for the crime they have committed against their neighbour by fostering this terrorist monster on the Sri lankan People for the past two decades. However India should remember the Naxalite terrorists in India have close links with the Maoists who now control most of Nepal, and they believe that a revolution in India is a historic inevitability. India must realise that unless terrorists in Sri Lanka, are destroyed they will grow and spread their tentacles in India. India should shed its veil of hypocrisy, traditional hesitancy in considering petty politics and be man enough to take active intervention in giving that unstinted support, (action not words) in helping the democratically elected sovereign state of Sri Lanka to destroy terrorists and terrorism, the scum which plague its hallowed soil.
