Your appeal Mr. Kofi Annan should be to the terrorists to negotiate with the government of Sri Lanka.

Mr.Hansen-Bauer, tell the LTTE they are a group of terrorists, and they cannot lay down conditions.

Mr.Kofi Annan, is said to be concerned about the increasing violence in Sri Lanka. If he has any concern for the plight of a democratic country, a sovereign state, he will not be concerned about the violence, but about the situation into which a murderous uncouth set of terrorists, have put the government into a very embarrassing situation, by fighting from inside the homes of residents, holding the civilians as a human shield.

Not only Mr. Kofi Annan, but the Government and the Sri Lanka Army are, “…. disturbed by reports that there have been many civilian victims, including children, as well as large displacements of people. “ You, Mr.Annana cannot even indirectly hold the Government and its army responsible, as it is not they who closed the sluice gates of the tank depriving over 15000 people of water. Thererefore, your call,”….. on the parties to cease hostilities immediately to create a favorable climate for negotiations over the water issue.”… shows your complete ignorance of the situation, and that you are making irrelevant statements concocted, by uninformed officials.

Your appeal Mr. Kofi Annan should be to the terrorists and not to the government of Sri Lanka, who knows very well what they are doing and making a yeoman effort without the help of the International Community or even the neighbour India. The Sri Lanka government does its best not to duplicate a Qana, in Sri Lanka, but it is the terrorists you have to be dealing with by requesting the International Community, to demand the terrorists to lay down arms. But have you the ability to do that. You had been powerless in the fight between Israel and Hezbollah, where innocent Lebanese were the victims.

Therefore please do not, reiterate your appeal to the government of Sri Lanka and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam to resume peace talks , as if they are equal partners

Hansen-Bauer too arrive in Sri Lanka today, to hold talks with Sri Lanka government and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Ealam (LTTE)., who are a group of most despicable terrorists bathed in the blood of innocent men , women and children.

Please Mr.Hansen-Bauer, speak to the terrorists and tell them that they are a group of banned terrorists and they have no legal or any human right to make any claims from the government. Therefore, they should stop their armed the aggression, and concede to negotiate peace with the government. And please Mr. Hansen –Bauer, do not issue statements asking both parties to start negotiations. It is the terrorists who should tell the government that they are ready to negotiate, as the government “are not terrorists” and have already asked the LTTE terrorist to come for a negotiated settlement. And coming for negotiations should be on the conditions laid by the government , and a venue selected by the government.
