The Wisdom Of A Sage In Hindsight!

When Mr.Punsri Abeywickrema suggests with the wisdom of a sage in hindsight
that "It Looks like the hope for an end to the LTTE terrorism is
diminishing as LTTE would enter into peace talks again and probably
re-group" It seems like no understatement and a truism which is
applicable to the reality that these are fully armed unrelenting terrorists
merely out to buy and bide their time and regroup towards their next
phase of attrocities!
It is indeed a fact of life that the desperation of these wretched terrorists
has augmented over the past few months as their failed attempts to attack
strategic locations and procure arms overseas for their murderous objectives
have failed miserably so why would anyone~ least of all the Government
of Sri Lanka be prepared to give them any leeway taking into consideration
the many opportunities they have had in the past to come clean?
It does seem preposterous on the part of the GOSL to once again be
conciliatory to these wretched aberrations of humanity when there is
an option now to clean them out completely and a fact which the JVP
and JHU in all wisdom have been harping on continuously and perhaps
even a thought being secretly entertained by the Commander of the Armed
Forces who msut surely be rearing to have a real go at eliminating them
beyond repreive!~ all kudos to them! The aspirations seem quite realistic
towards the future well being of Sri Lanka as there can never be a lasting
peace as long as the LTTE are permitted any leeway towards their survival!They
need to be removed as the cancer they have been to Sovereign Sri Lanka
for decades and eradicated completely!
Mr Abeywickrema's sentiments of disdain that the "SL government
and the LTTE will be holding peace talks with Norway's" peace"
envoy (or could that be modified more appropriately to read Norway's
LTTE fronting representative Jon Hansen Baurer) mediating " is
clearly one of dread apprehension and one which all Sri Lankans who
realistically want a lasting peace should uphold and endorse. Indeed
one must ask "Why Why Why?????? and Why peace talks just to make
Norway happy?"as Norway has shown great bias and partisan leanings
towards the LTTE not for a few days, weeks or months but for over a
decade now and is the GOSL blinkered to this reality or is there as
during previous regimes some hidden agenda with the LTTE that the man
on the street cannot truly comprehend? Is there another betrayal by
the administration of the Sovereign Nation of Sri lanka to her enemies
awaiting manifestation whether inadvertently or not! and something which
needs avoidance in hindsight which is exactly what the writer is alluding
to!
A truly patriotic and compasionate sentiment prevails when it has been
observed with great remorse and sadness that "All the soldiers
who gave away their invaluable lives did that for nothing after all?
All the families who lost their loved ones due to LTTE terrorist attacks
must stand up for justice!" They must not have died in vain and
must be remembered with great love, pride and compassion for having
paid the ultimate price to maintain the Sovereignity of their Motherland
and their demises vindicated! Their efforts not scorned and diluted
through subjugation to those responsible for their deaths !
On the Whys and Wherefores of The Government and the LTTE going back
to peace talks it has been observed that " This means there would
not be an end to this conflict. Just like the previous times, the LTTE
will re-group. Norway and the LTTE will be much happier, but our Motherland
will be further destroyed and possibly divided by the LTTE terrorists!
Hope our armed forces will realize the danger of re-commiting to the
hopeless ceasefire and going back to the barracks.The LTTE have been
badly beaten up in the recent attacks. So why let them re-group again?
We should have continued in the path we were going much more aggressively
and further destroyed LTTE and then invited all the democratic Tamil
parties to join the democratic process in the country! Hope the SL gov.
realizes the danger of trying to make Norway happy by committing to
another ceasefire which would only give a chance for the foreign powers
like Norway to make LTTE more powerful again."Greater words of
wisdom probably never prevailed in recent times for their importance
where much emphasis and concerted thought needs to be given to the message
being carried in this item which is a message to all discerning Sri
Lankans including those who hold the reins of power!

Bravo Mr.Punyasiri Abeywickrema the Nation needs more of you to circulate
this very important message to the four corners of the Globe and the
obscure minds of some of our national Leaders which might be the only
redemption from the destructive forces imperiling our beloved Motherland
towards posterity and a better future in the years to come! Not through
pandering to fully armed terrorists who continue to be defiant in the
face of all condemnations and persist in their futile and perverse objectives
which consequently is synonymous with a non response to all the foreign
sources who believe in restoring peace by giving into terrorism through
a misconceived dialogue( a pipe dream!) when the option to take them
out stares the authorities right between the eyes as a feasible one
from a point of advantage in the event that the terrorists do not lay
down arms, relent their pursuance of secession and humble themselves
towards the justice that awaits them for their crimes against humanity
while subjecting themselves to the reality that terrorism never succeeded
anywhere in the world!.
